The 1966 FIFA World Cup was the eighth FIFA World Cup and was held in England from 11 to 30 July 1966. The Soviet Union beat England 1-0 in the final, winning the World Cup. It is the Soviet Union's only FIFA World Cup title. They were the fifth nation to win the World Cup. North Korea finished fourth in the World Cup, becoming the first and only Asian nation to reach the last four in a FIFA World Cup final.
