Ferdinand Adolph Schreck (born 6 May 1957) is an Elsevian politician who was Leader of the Social Democrat Party and Prime Minister of Elsevia from 22 September 2008 to 17 January 2010, when he announced his resignation from both roles. On 1 February, he was officially replaced by Anton Martijn.
Schreck was born in Baden-Baden, Germany when his parents were visiting a friend in 1957. He is twice divorced and has five children.
In 1979, he completed his law degree at Utrecht University in Frisia. From 1980 to 1984 he worked as an officer at the General Staff of Elsevia's Armed Forces. From 1983 to 1990, Schreck worked as a journalist and editor at the Der Druckmaschine news agency.
