The Federated Republic of America is the rump part of the former United States of America which was left following the War of Southern Agression.
A new constitution was writen for the Republic which made it a more centralised entity. Among some of the new articles, the Republic forbids secession of its constituent states, and leaves all powers to the federal government if they are not explicitly mentioned as being of the states' resort.
