The Federal Republic of Cuba is a multi-party, federal government based on the island of Cuba. It succeeded the Republic of Cuba.

After Fidel Castro's death in 2014, his brother, Raul, began to improve public healthcare, education and welfare and privatised many state-owned enterprises, greatly improving both the HDI and GDP of Cuba. After, he re-established diplomatic relations with many of its former enemies and completely rebuilt the military, abandoning old Soviet equipment and purchased many modern European small arms, namely the CZ-805 BREN, from the Federal Czech Republic, and the H&K G36, from Germany. However, Raul died in 2015, just a year after his brother. José Asunción became president and continued Castro's reforms, eventually joining the Atlantic/Pacific Cooperation Alliance.
