The Fall of Macau (alternative called the Seizure of Macau) was a military takeover of the Portuguese colony of Macau done by the People's Liberation Army following China's entry into World War III. China declared war on U.S., NATO, and their allies which made Hong Kong and Macau fair game. While British forces in Hong Kong put up a fight against the Chinese, the absence of the Portuguese military in the colony made it easy for the PLA to capture in just merely an hour. Several Portuguese civilians, government workers, and Macanese citizens were captured as POWs.
