The FIFA World Cup, often simply the World Cup, is an international association football competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of FIFA, the sport's global governing body. It is held in every 4th year since 1930 (only interrupted twice by the Second World War). The current champion is West Germany, who won the title in 2010.

The 2002 World Cup took place in Mexico (President Welles), and was won by Brazil.
2006[]
The 2006 tournament was held in West Germany. The host country came out the fourth place. Brazil won the world cup, holding their title, defeating the Soviet Union. Italy had the third place.
2010[]
The 2010 World Cup was held in Cuba, the first time that a Caribbean country hosted the event. West Germany won the tournament, defeating Spain in the final. Italy came out the third place, with the Soviet Union as fourth.
2014[]
The 2014 competition took place in Japan, the first time Asia hosted the World Cup. Spain won the competition, this time defeating West Germany in the final. The Soviet Union came out the third place, and Argentina the fourth.
