In 2009 the Australian government placed an new order for an F-15 Variant that was able to perform every task from CAP to CAS the new aircraft was called the F-15 Australian Eagle or F-15 AUSEagle


Development

Development was simple take a F-15C Upgrade it with Bomb and Attack avionics and the AUSEagle was born it was basically a single seat F-15E.


Orders placed

The Australian government Placed an order for 38 F-15 AUS Eagles and six F-15-H-AUS Eagle Trainers. The RNZAF also placed an order for 12 aircraft including two trainers


Operational History

The AUSEagle has only seen service in the bombing of Indonesia after Indonesian troops launched several attacks on Australian Troops in East Timor were one F-15 AUSEagle was was shot down by a SU-30 and one was damaged by a SAM and AUSEagles shot down one SU-30, two A-4 Skyhawks, five F-5 Tigers and one F-16 while completely destroying the Hasanuddin air base and damaging the Abdulrachman Saleh Airfield and they also destroyed several Army barracks and military buildings in Jakarta.
