All civilizations are created equal. Imagine that for a second. At the dawn of time, twenty-five areas around the globe start with a similar assortment of resources and an equal amount of ingenuity. All twenty-five develop side-by-side, rubbing shoulders, for the rest of history. Wars break out from time to time, but with no clear winner. Civilizations attempt to destroy each other, but none succeed. As technology develops, though, the intermittent warfare becomes more and more deadly. Will the world survive the next century?
