The Kingdom of England (commonly known as Northern England) is a Constitutional monarchy, made up of the former Northern counties of England (a former constituent country of the United Kingdom). The government is mostly made up of former ministers of the United Kingdom, as well as the Royal family of the former United Kingdom. When the UK was occupied by Nazi Germany during the Second World War, they fled to the United States until the end of the war in 1947. Nowadays the Kingdom of England is part of NATO, the EU, the Council of Europe and the G20. Northern England currently disputes the entire nation of England, with its Southerly neighbour, the English People's Republic. Both nations refuse to acknowledge one another, and both claim to be the sole England.

During World War Two, England (as part of the UK) was at war with Germany, along with France. When France fell Germany's next target was the Britain. Hitler put all Germany's resources into the fight against Britain, to ensure that Germany wouldn't have to fight on two fronts. By october 1940, Germany had air superiority over the UK despite a valiant defence by British and foreign fighters. On the 17th of November 1940, Germany began operation Sea Lion, the invasion of the British Isles. German landing craft were dispatched from various spots on the Channel coast, in occupied Belgium and France, as well as further forces departing from German occupied Norway, in order to take Norfolk on the English east coast. Once the German amphibious assault had captured much of the South English coast, the Luftwaffe then flew in behind British lines and dropped Paratroopers to squeeze the British lines further. Further companies of German troops landed in Norfolk. As Winston Churchill had promised, British forces did fight on the beaches and in the fields, but they were overrun by the sheer size of the German army, and by February 1941 England and Wales were completely under German control. A puppet government was setup in England, with Edward VIII as the monarch and Oswald Mosley as Reichskommissar. Scotland and Northern Ireland declared independence from the UK. Shortly after the Irish Free State reunited with Northern Ireland, thus making Ireland united once again. Scotland fearing invasion by Nazi Germany, united with Ireland to form the Gaelic Union.
