The Empire Dissolution Act of 1934 was a legislative act passed by the Imperial Congress of Cygnia in 1934 declaring the dissolution of the Empire of Cygnia.

AN ACT

To declare, for the continuing stability of governance and the country and the security of the people in the wake of the murder of the Imperial Family, the dissolution of the Empire of Cygnia and the dissolution of the monarchy, and to proclaim in its place the formation of the Democratic Republic of Cygnia.

ARTICLE I: DECLARATIONS

  1. The Imperial Congress of the Empire of Cygnia acknowledges the irreversible extinction of the House of Stuart-Campbell, due to the senseless murder of the Imperial Family at the hands of the traitor Orwell.
  2. The Congress also acknowledges that due to the irreversible extinction of the Imperial Family, the current Imperial Government is no longer sustainable, and that a succession crisis is currently unfolding in this country.
  3. To prevent all of Cygnia from falling into chaos and self-destructive conflict, and to maintain the stability of the country, the Congress declares that at the passage of this Act, the Imperial Constitution shall be rendered null and void, and all institutions of the Imperial Government will be dissolved.
  4. A new Constitution will be written in accordance with the provisions as detailed in subsequent Articles, and will replace the existing Empire of Cygnia with a new National Government.
  5. Henceforth, the Empire of Cygnia shall be dissolved.
  6. Henceforth, this Nation shall be known as the Democratic Republic of Cygnia.

ARTICLE II: THE CONSTITUTION

  1. The Constitution of the new Democratic Republic shall be written given the guidelines as written below.
  2. All States of Cygnia shall be centralised under a single governing authority, to ensure stability and security.
  3. Democracy shall be preserved as a right for all men as guaranteed under the former Imperial Constitution.
  4. All Government Secretariats will be reorganised into Central Commissariats, for ease of regulation and accountability.

  • The Honourable Jonathan Mulberry, MNA, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Congress of the Empire of Cygnia, certifies that this Act was successfully passed by the National Assembly of the Congress of the Empire of Cygnia through due processes and all democratic means endorsed by the Constitution. Signed 1 May 1934.
  • The Honourable Senator William Blackwood, President of the Senate of the Congress of the Empire of Cygnia, certifies that this Act was successfully passed by the Senate of the Congress of the Empire of Cygnia, through due processes and all democratic means endorsed by the Constitution. Signed 4 May 1934.
  • The Right Honourable Marshal Franklin Jonathan Heller, Chancellor of the Empire of Cygnia and President of the Imperial Regency, signs this Bill into Law with the authority invested in him by the Cygnian Imperial Regency on behalf of His Imperial Majesty Theodore IV, Emperor of Cygnia. This Act has been passed by the Chancellor with immediate effect. Signed 5 May 1934.

REPEAL

  • With immediate effect, all Articles and provisions within this Act as signed into Cygnian law is hereby rendered null and void by the Provisional and Transitional Council of the Cygnian Realm. The contents of this Act contains inaccurate and untrue contextual information and the implementation of this Act was in detriment to the people of Cygnia.
Repeal signed by His Imperial Highness Prince Ellory of Cygnia, Chief Executive of the Provisional and Transitional Council of the Cygnian Realm. Signed 8 April 1943.
