The Emergency Wartime Government (Span: Gobierno de Emergencia para la Guerra) was an executive office that governed Argentina from November 1980, when the military ousted Isabel Perón in the Quiet Coup, until September of 1987 when they peacefully relinquished power to a temporary government as per agreements made in the mid-1980s. The purpose of the Emergency Government was to govern Argentina as a state at war, turning its economy to the full execution of war against Brazil, measures that neither allies Colombia or the United States ever took.

The government was comprised to military leaders as well as civilian leadership from Argentina's main political parties, although both Peronists and Socialists claimed to have been marginalized by the conservative Radical Party and the center-right Liberal Democrats. The government was accused of human rights abuses including extrajudicial killings.
