The Kingdom of Dutchland is an empire in Europe that occupies much of Western Europe. The land that now makes up Dutchland was occupied by Celtic tribes before they fell to Roman control and Germanic tribes. The fall of Rome, instigated by Germanic tribes, caused a massive expansion, causing the Germanic Frankish Empire to rise to power. This nation spanned from Dutchland to Spain, while the dependent Lombard Kingdom spanned much of Italy. The empire fell apart as aristocrats declared independence. Aristocrats in Dutchland declared the free Kingdom of Austria, consisting of most territory of modern Dutchland. While the Merovingian Franks were forced into Italy, Austria fell to Islamic Sufi missionaries. The Christian kings were overthrown as Austria came to an end. In its place grew Dutchland.
