The District of Deseret, in the Commonwealth of Virginia, was split off of the District of California in 18??. It is largely inhabited by Mormons. It consists largely of what is *here* the state of Nevada, the part of Arizona north of the Colorado River, most of Utah, with the exception of the part south of the Colorado, and small portions of Wyoming and Colorado.
