Der Führer's Face, also entitled Comrade Stalin's Face in its anti-Communist version, is a comedic song written in 1942 by American musician Oliver Wallace, and most famously recorded in 1943 by Spike Jones. Its tune parodies the Horst-Wessel Lied, the anthem of the Nazi Party, and its lyrics ridicule the leadership of either the Anti-Comintern Powers or the Communist Bloc. The two different versions were played alternately during World War II depending on which alliance the Allies were primarily at war with. The two versions are very similar, differing mostly only in the names of various people.

Anti-Axis Lyrics

When the Führer says,
"We is the master race",
We HEIL! HEIL!
Right in the Führer's face.
Not to love the Führer,
Is a great disgrace.
So we HEIL! HEIL!
Right in the Führer's face.

When Herr Goebbels says,
"We own the world and space",
We HEIL! HEIL!
Right in Herr Geobbels' face.
When Herr Göring says,
"They'll never bomb this place",
We HEIL! HEIL!
Right in Herr Göring's face.

Anti-Communist Lyrics

When Joe Stalin says,
"This is the workers' place",
We LYUDI! LYUDI!
In Comrade Stalin's face.
Not to love Joe Stalin,
Is a great disgrace.
So we LYUDI! LYUDI!
In Comrade Stalin's face.

When Molotov says,
"We own the world and space",
We LYUDI! LYUDI!
Right in Molotov's face.
And when Zhukov says,
"They'll never bomb this place",
We LYUDI! LYUDI!
In Comrade Zhukov's face.
