It's the autumn of 1918 and the Great War is nearing its end. Years of fighting has led to nations devastated and empires fallen. There are millions of deaths. It has been called "the war to end war", so horrible that no country would dare start another one like it. In France, the small village of Marcoing has seen fighting, but the battle was nearing its end. Henry Tandey, a private of the British Army, came across a wounded German soldier. He took aim, unsure of what to do, and after some hesitation, he fired. The soldier was killed instantly. He became just another name in a long, long list of deaths. That particular man's name? Adolf Hitler.
