The Democratic Labour Party of Cygnia (DLP; nicknamed "Red Roos" after their mascot) is a left-wing political party in Cygnia. Founded in 1903 following the merger of the Federalist Party and the Liberal-Democratic Party, the Democratic Labour Party is one of the two major parties in Cygnian politics, along with the right-wing National Unity Party, its political and ideological archrival. The DLP is the oldest surviving political party in Cygnia, with its existence only interrupted during the Hellerist era. The party's president is Mark Butler, and the DLP has been the largest party in Congress since the 2014 Federal Elections, with current Chancellor Dorian Brandt being elected for his first term in 2014. The party's left-wing ideology has been referred to as democratic socialist and liberal.

The party's philosophy of modern liberalism advocates social and economic equality, along with the welfare state. It seeks to provide government intervention and regulation in the economy; under DLP rule the Twelfth Amendment to the Imperial Constitution was enacted, empowering the government to nationalise and break monopolies. Such interventions, as well as the introduction of social programs, support for labour unions, moves toward universal healthcare and equal opportunity, consumer protection, and environmental protection form the core of the party's economic policy.

There have been 7 Democratic Labour Chancellors: the first was Chris Watson, who served from 1905 to 1913. The most recent is current Cygnian Chancellor Dorian Brandt, who has been in office since 2015.

In the 53rd Imperial Congress, following the 2014 elections, Democrats hold a majority of seats in both the House of Representatives and Senate. The party also holds 12 state ministries and 3 territorial ministries.
