OTL, in 1992 after the defeat of the Afghan Communist regime of President Najibullah the various Afghan Mujaheddin factions fell into infighting, but if one of the Mujaheddin factions had emerged victorious after the fall of Najibullah, Afghanistan could have made a transition to democracy and the rise of the Taliban could have been averted, this althist will attempt to explore these possibilties.
