Incumbent Assembly Leader
The 2016 Cygnian National Assembly elections will be held on 6 November 2016. Elections will be held to elect representatives from all 380 electoral districts across each of the 18 Cygnian states and 6 territories. The winners of this election will serve in the 102nd Imperial Congress, with seats apportioned among the states based on the 2012 Cygnian Census. In this election the position of Leader of the Assembly will also be indirectly elected, as the leader of the majority party will also become that of the entire Assembly (this is an entirely titular position, and the Speaker in fact presides over the National Assembly). Incumbent Leader of the National Assembly and of the Democratic Labour caucus, Maurice Patel, will be standing for re-election, as will the leader of the National Unity caucus, Jonathan Leibowitz.
