Crossbridges is the sixteenth studio album by the English progressive rock band Pink Floyd, released worldwide in November 2000.
The Crossbridges release period was marked by many personal points between members and former members of Pink Floyd. As the peace between David Gilmour and Roger Waters, Syd Barrett composing two songs for the album, among others.
Soon, its sales surpassed those of their previous album, The Division Bell, becoming the fourth best-selling album of the band.
The Floydians were working in the composition of a new album, the project titled "Pink Millenium", when suddenly appears Roger Waters still working they see. According to Gilmour, he didn't expect the presence of his former bandmate, especially with the rivalry of the recent years.
Another point was the request of Syd Barrett, to help them in the new project, composing two songs. It was one of the trickiest albums of Pink Floyd for development by several points, as the smallest assistance Polly Samson in the compositions, Nick Mason left the studio during off hours frequently because of car racing, Guy Pratt was focused on his solo album, leaving some of the work for Barrett, Gilmour and Wright.
From this album, Nick Mason began to appear more on vocals from the albums, even with a song composed and sang by him, Lucky Machine, and one with vocals shared with Gilmour, Cars and Airplanes.
