Coronation of Napoleon

Coronation of Napoleon

A coronation is a ceremony marking the investiture of a monarch (and often their spouse), the highlight of which is the placing of a crown on the ruler's head.

Note that a coronation is the name of the event, but the verb is "to crown". Kings are "crowned," not "coronated," as Professor Brians is happy to explain.
