The Conservative Party of England is one of the two primary contemporary English political parties, currently holding a 295 seat strong minority in the Parliament of the Republic of England (as of the 2011 general election). The current Conservative leader is Hugh Grant, who has held that post since October of 2008. The Conservatives model themselves after the Conservative Party of the Kingdom of England, and take the same nickname (Tories).

The Tories have been the majority party for most of the English Republic's existence - since 1957, the Tories have won nine general elections and been in power for 27 combined years, while seeing six men (Minor, Norrington, Cleese, Peter Stuart, Irons and Grant) serve as Prime Minister.
