The Confederation of Greece is a confederacy of the successor states to Greece that survived the Nuclear Wars set down by the actions of the United States & the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Currently, the Confederation has its capital in New Athens, a new city founded by each of the city-states and mainly populated by their politicians.

- The Delian League- Direct Democracy. (Aegean Islands)

All of these nations also administer the new governments of the Northeast African Coast.
[edit] Flag of the Confederation
When the First United Parliament met to settle things, one of the first issues was a flag. The Hellenic Republic decided to use the flag of Greece from before 1983, whereas the Despotate of Moreos gave its idea of the flag of the Byzantine Empire. The Delian League proposed a new flag for the Confederacy, one that did not lean towards any one nation. One man Βενιαμίν Καρνέλλος (Veniamin Karnellos) proposed that the underlying theme by unity, in hopes of unifying the states one day. He chose the old colors of Greece (white and blue) and put gold stars for each of the states, even a star for Cyprus. In the center of the blue Saint Andrew's cross Venedethiktos placed a slightly larger gold star, for brotherhood and Hellenism. As of June 19th, 1994 Venedethiktos' proposal became the official flag of the new Confederacy of Greece.
[edit] Conflict
In recent years some nations have criticized the CoG's mandates over North Africa. Some nations (such as the South American Confederation) call these mandates "an abomination of neo-imperialism that has followed us into the post-apocalyptic world via the barbarous Greeks. How exactly are they better than the Sicilians?". However, Greece responds saying that these nations were doing horrible under the Greeks stepped in. It is no secret that the monks of
[edit] Delian League
When the mushroom clouds over Athens and Thessaloniki could be seen over much of the country, the Greeks knew they were truly in peril. For the first few years, the islands experienced a miserable existence from disease, shrinking number of imported goods, and not knowing how the rest of nation was doing truly lead to acts of martial law, or even anarchy in some areas. However a great man rose to the occasion. He personally set sail, going from Anafi to Samothráki.
[edit] Future Political Trends
As the centralized government in Skyros developed in the 2000s, concern soon arose on unification and the future of the Confederacy itself. Some have suggested a republican/federal model based on the United States, while others the restoration of the original Hellenic Republic at some point in time. One ambitious plan, however, was put forward in 2008, proposing the reformation of the Byzantine Empire, with the Emperor elected from the (current) constituent states; the latter is considered controversial. A series of "People's Assemblies" were arranged to resolve the matter on both the political and public level. The first of these was a low profile event in New Constantinople on 11 January 2008.
[edit] Federation of Greece?
A referendum has been scheduled for December 31st, 2009 to decide whether the Confederation should become a federation, or remain the same. Member-states such as Moreos and the Hellenic Republic are pushing for Greece's current state to remain the same, as they believe as of now the various member states are too different and to strengthen the bonds between them freedoms will have to be taken away. However, nations such as the Delian League and Agion Oros are pushing for a quickening of unity, though obviously different regions.
[edit] International relations
Greece is a member of the League of Nations.
