The Confederation of African Marxist Countries is a political alliance between three states in East Africa.

All three members have a government that propagate the ideals of Communism laid out by Karl Marx. The three countries all have good relations with each other and several organizational bodies that have representatives from all three.

History

Following the Ethiopia-Eritrea war, both countries realized that they had a lot in common, which led to closer relations between them. Eventually, they cemented their political alliance in the foundation of the Confederation or CMAC. The organization would only grow to encompass South Sudan after the elections in that country led to the establishment of relations between the Ethiopian government and South Sudan.

Joint Organizations

Football teams from all three countries compete in the Confederation Football League, and the Confederation acts a unified voice for the countries in international relations. In addition to that, each country in the CMAC provides some of its military to the CMAC Armed Response Force, which tries to police drug trafficking and act as a peacekeeping force in eastern Africa.

Military

Although each member of the CAMC has its own military, they often act as a combined force in task forces. CAMC forces have fought as a combined military organization in the East Sudan War, and conduct military exercises together. The CAMC military does not take part in CSTO exercises, which is conducted by the individual countries. CAMC members do not have to take part in the CAMC military, but the three current members always conduct operations together.
