The Confederacy was born on February 8, 1861 due to issues over slavery. Most

historians -including Floridans- agree that if not for French support the CSA would

probably not have lasted past 1866. Mexico is frequently cited as an ally, but they

lacked the power to fight the USA.

[edit] Reaction to CSA Declaration of Independence

Most nations would not support the CSA due to slavery. However, when Mexico and the

CSA agreed on March 18, 1862 to ban slavery in the Confederacy by March 18, 1892

many more nations were willing to acknowledge the CSA as separate from the USA.

France began to send troops to help the CSA in 1863 after the CSA agreed to help

Quebec gain independence from The Dominion of Canada on June 21, 5 days after

Quebec declared independence.

[edit] History of The Confederacy

After The War of Succession

On July 4, 1865 after McClellan was voted as President, the Treaty of Washington

was signed ending The North American Civil War.The Confederate States had their

first election in 1866. A complete success for Allison.

The First Confederate-Yankee War

Most Texans were unhappy with the CSA's government, so in 1868 Texas attempted to

rejoin The Union. The CSA's representative said, "You Texans joined our

great, powerful nation so there's no turning back."

The Yankees decided to admit Texas, sparking the First Confederate-Yankee War.

The war flew back and forth such that when the war ended in 1873 both nations

agreed to declare Texas as a new country in itself.

The Texan-Confederate War

In 1879 Texas attempts to gain control over the Confederate state of Sequoyah.

The Confederacy continued to claim Sequoyah. Texas declared war on the CSA on

June 18, and the Confederacy reacted quickly. The war went on until 1883 when

realizing Texas could take Sequoyah, Louisiana, and weaken the CSA leaving it

vulnerable to Yankee invasions they simply cede Sequoyah to Texas on May 12.

The Second Confederate-Yankee War

Less than 2 years after Texas and The Confederacy made peace, the CSA began invading the USA. On February 13, 1885

The CSA invaded West Virginia. The United States Army quickly came to fight the CSA back, but they'd gained

ground; they couldn't be pushed back. In the July of 1887 Texas began invading Kansas. With the Battle of Sedan

on September 7 that year the USA began a slow decline out of existence as a nation, realizing that North America

no longer belonged to them. When Texas withdrew from the war on October 12 1887 Confederates realized North

America would never be under their sole control. Even though Spain sided with them the Yankees lost this war,

making few in Europe believe either could ever be called a power again.
