The Cold War (Portuguese: Guerra Fria; Russian: Холо́дная война́) was a sustained state of political and military tension between the powers of the Northwestern world, led by the United States, the Northeastern world, led by the Soviet Unionand the Southern world, led by San Paulo.
The Cold War was so named as it never involved military action, and since both sides possessed nuclear weapons, while also predicting their use would probably guarantee their mutual assured destruction. While the war had been maintained for several decades. It had officially ended in 1994 with the signing of the Treaty of Porto between San Paulo, United States and Russia (former USSR).
