New Albion is the Capital city of the Commonwealth of New Albion. It has been built around an area called Drakes Estero and has been built up over four centuries into a metropolis of sprawling neighborhoods, beaches, and scattered canals. It is located between Drake's Bay and Tomales Bay and is where the N1 and S1 meet. It is 10 miles from St. Francis and 15 from Neyrsevon. It was a part of the province of North California until the Commonwealth was granted independence, at which point the Reyes Peninsula was made into the capital district, all of which was incorporated into the City of New Albion.
[edit] Districts
[edit] Government District
The Government District is the heart of the city. Located on the Drakes Head peninsula, the cityscape radiates from the site of the original village. At the edges of the district lie the Parliament House, Executive residence, and several national government headquarters. These areas are protected by the Royal Marine Guard.
[edit] Limantour Spit
The Limantour Spit is an historic district of the city, built on the sandspit that separates the City Lagoon from Drakes' Bay. It is mostly covered by turn-of-the-century houses, with beachfront stores and restaurants. It is the eastern end of the Lagoon Viaduct and the south end of the Head Bridge.
