This article concerns the changes in world borders and geo-politics in the Mexican Empire timeline. This does not discuss the changes in North American politics, which is discussed in the nations thread and in the timeline itself.
World Powers outside of North America
Great Colombia is the dominating power in South America. Brazil is still an empire, and controls Uruguay. The Federation of Peru and Bolivia remained, and an independent Patagonia has reduced Argentina's and Chile's territory on the continent.
The European Situation
The situation of the countries in Western Europe are the same. France, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Portugal are Confederate allies, while Germany, Austria, and Belgium are Mexican Allies. The most notable changes in borders are in the Balkans, where it is even more Balkanized then it is today. Bosnia and Herzegovina is splintered into independent Bosniak, Serb, and Croat Republics. Vojvodinia, Kosova, and Montenegro are independent. There is also a Serb Republic in Krajina (Croatia-Slavonia). Greece, after victories in World Wars I and II, gained Macedonia, Ionia, and European Turkey. Transylvania is independent, and Moldova is divided between an independent Gagauzia and Transdniestria, while Russia controls the rest.
The Russian monarchy was restored after the defeat of the Soviets in World War II. Russia controls all of the former Soviet territories except Armenia, Tannu-Tuva, Transdniestria, and Gagauzia. Russia is an important Confederate ally.
The Rest of the World
With a few exceptions, the world map in other parts of the world, such as Asia, Africa, Oceania, and the Middle East are the same. Notable exceptions include a larger Armenia, independent Turkish Kurdistan, independent Manchuria, and a united Korea. Apartheid still rules South Africa, a close ally of the Confederacy, who also implements a regime of apartheid (albeit recently repealed)
