Cartoon Network is an American basic cable and satellite television channel that was founded in 1992 is currently owned by the Turner Broadcasting System division of Time Warner. The channel airs entirely animated programming, ranging from action to animated comedy (e.g. Scooby Doo, Batman: The Animated Series, Looney Tunes, etc.). It aims for essentially all television demographics, from children and teenagers to adults of all ages. In March 1997, the network launched its high-definition service, carried on all major cable and satellite providers.
