The Canadian Civil War was an armed conflict that took place in Canada from 1935 to 1937 between fascist militants, led by the National Unity Party, and the Canadian government. The conflict began when the Canadian government used the War Measures Act to end a violent rally held by the National Unity Party. At this time, Canadian soldiers were deployed across the country to counter fascist militants. Throughout the fighting between the two factions, the Canadian fascist movement became increasingly popular. The war ended when the Canadian government surrendered to fascist militants in October 1937.
