The Macedonian Empire was once a backward nation north of Greece that was scorned by the Greeks time and time again. However, under the reigns of King Phillip and his Son Alexander, respectively, subjugated Greece and beyond into Persia establishing one of the world's largest empires. With the death of Alexander the empire fractured into many successive states with Macedon being one of them. With the rise of Rome and Carthage, respectively, and the distant battles in the mind of the King of Macedon, the Macedonian Confederacy was formed as a coalition nation between the rebel Spartans, the Athenians, the Byzantines, and the Macedonians and their collective territories to form the Macedonian Confederacy. With the eventual cultural center needed and Byzantium being under Macedonian control the Hellenic Empire of Byzantium was formed - more commonly known as the Byzantine empire.

Proposition:

The Confederacy was a shared dream between the Governors of Athens, and Byzantium and the King of Macedon, More or less it was to be an Empire with a sort of Semi Democracy being tested as proposed by the Athenians and a King or emperor Presiding. Sparta on the other hand with a professional army, powerful king, and secret support of a few other of the Greek cities managed to convince that to avoid all out war and the probable destruction the Macedonians, and historically and still Powerful Greek Cities, Agreed to take all their combined territory and form a confederacy to prevent outside influence from affecting the area. However, the comings of an empire still remain and many support the creation of this empire still. The Divisions of Power are what bother many. However with the following conquests of Apolonnia and fighting back and integrating Thracia, the Greeks have agreed that Macedon's era and mentality of Total dominance is over and is willing to share the power.

Culture:

The Culture of the Area is Hellenic, the Macedonian Confederacy which now includes the Spartans in the south is in fact the Center of Hellenic Culture and is revered as the Center of this Culture throughout all the Hellenic kingdoms. The Confederacy uses Greek Architecture and places great worth on Arts, Sciences And Military Service. Due to recent reforms many people can earn their right as citizens through varying ways. One way is through military service which - unless in the case of desertion among other offenses - ends in citizenship. Another way is serving in the governments of the various cities or even the national government.

Military:

The militaries of the area are organized under the professional soldiering of the Spartans. Bitter rivalries were lessened to tolerable competition and the Spartans are the main training benefactors of the military. The Spartan King, still proud of his Armies is, however, unusually willing to adapt his armies to prevent the overwhelming of his forces. The Spartans are still quite the force to be reckoned with. However, their adaptation of new tactics, as well as evolving their phalanx into a speedier and less vulnerable tactic has led to the expansion of Sparta's military into the whole military of the Empire. In tandem with this, Macedonian Phalanx and their Companion Cavalry make this army one of the greatest in the ancient world
