The war in Afghanistan begins 2001 October 7, without the support of the UK, and in contradiction to Russian and ONU position. "Axis of evil" term coined by United States President George W. Bush in his State of the Union Address on January 29, 2002 in order to describe governments that he accused of helping terrorism and seeking weapons of mass destruction, named Iran, Iraq, and North Korea. Bush's presidency has been marked by this notion as a justification for the War on Terror. Later on May 6, 2002 future United States UN Ambassador John R. Bolton gave a speech entitled "Beyond the Axis of Evil." In it he added three more nations to be grouped with the already mentioned "rogue states": Libya, Syria, and Cuba. That become in a succession of conflicts between SA without any help against Afghanistan, Iraq, North Korea, Iran, Libya, Syria, and Cuba
In Afghanistan, the Taliban are purchasing arms from Russia. The United States meets fierce resistance, suicide bombers, etc. The UK, NATO, UN, and Russia seriously denounce the US. By November 23rd, the US have only pushed in 156 miles. Kabul is still with the Taliban. The Russians give the US an ultimatum; withdraw by Christmas or the Russian army will interfere. The US ignore the order. Then, a South Korean ship is sunk by a North Korean Sub. The US is enraged, and demands that NK pay for damages and apologize. At the same time, a North Korean cargo ship is lost in the Pacific. The North Korea government becomes frantic to find it, raising the suspicions of everyone. It is found just off the coast of Japan, and the Japanese inspectors find nuclear warheads from Russia. Immediately, the UN tells the North Koreans to dismantle their nuclear weapons program. The NK ignores the order. The Russians want the nukes to either go to NK or back to themselves. The US is unwilling to give it to the Russians, but don't want to give them to the North Koreans.
