The B.P.F. also known as the Free Forces, were the members of Britain's military which actively supported the deposed government of Stanley Baldwin. The B.P.F. fought during the British Civil War against the Fascist Council of Britain, led by Oswalt Mosley and his government and the troops loyal to Mosley.

The BPF was formed on the 1st of May 1935 by British General Bernard "Monty" Montgomery and included nearly 70,000 regular army troops, as well as most of the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force based north of Cumbia and the Lake District. Although the first combat of the civil war occurred on 28th of April when a brigade of troops rebelled against the fascist government during the Battle of Southampton, the BPF itself was not officially formed until 1 week later.
