The British American States were originally founded in Britain's colonization efforts of the New World. The colonization effort was hampered by Spanish gold mongering. It was during the times of unrest brought by Spain that the 17 colonies stood together against the opressive taxes of the British Parliaments.

The colonies that united together under the "Act of Solidarity under the Crown":

  1. Connecticut Colony,
  2. Massachusetts Bay
  3. New Hampshire
  4. Rhode Island
  5. Providence Plantations
  6. Delaware Colony
  7. New Jersey
  8. New York
  9. Pennsylvania
  10. Georgia
  11. Maryland
  12. North Carolina
  13. South Carolina
  14. The Dominion of Virginia
  15. Nova Scotia
  16. Newfoundland
  17. Prince Edward Island

The following joined the year following the initial legislative revolt:

  1. Quebec
  2. Bahamas
  3. Barbados
  4. Jamaica

The following joined with Crown Permission

  1. Nevis, as part of Saint Kitts and Nevis
  2. St. Christopher, now Saint Kitts
  3. Bermuda
  4. Cayman Islands
  5. West Indies

The following were stripped from Spanish control after the Stamp Rebellion:

  1. East Florida
  2. West Florida

Following the Act of Solidarity, the colonies banded together and sent a pledge of fidelity to their majesties, earning much needed approval. With this approval the Parliament of the New World was convened, and thus began the British American States.
