ATL History

First years of post-war (1963-1965)

Brazil's first years of post-war were marked by the chaos that reign over the streets of what survived from the Brazilian cities, the government fell and various groups were formed with intentions to take the power of the country. Battles began to have in the major cities of brazil, many people died, and so, began the Brazilian civil war. The most popular group was the Imperialist Solution group, it was ruled by Marcos Oliveira, they wanted to restore the Brazilian Empire and, as the other groups, take control of the country. 2 years have passed, and the Imperialist Solution Group made the last few groups to surrender, so the "Imperialist Solution Group" took the control of Brazil, restored the Empire, moved the national capital to Rio de Janeiro and crowned Marcos Oliveira as the Emperor of the Brazilian Empire.

Restoration Years (1965-1969)

The first thing the emperor Marcos Oliveira did was creating the Brazilian Institute of Reformation (BIR), this institute could help the Empire to be rebuilded and reformed to what it was before the nuclear and civil wars, while the Emperor could worry about other things. The court threw a huge party to commemorate the founding of BIR, the party was set to be over Praça XV (15) in Rio de Janeiro, in that moment, Marcos Oliveira made his famous speech to the population:

"People of Brazil, I know, you know, and everyone in the world knows that we overcomed that tragic situation we were living a year ago. Thanks to you, people of Brazil, we will rebuild what we destroyed and restore our glorious days."

-Emperor Marcos Oliveira I, May 8, 1965

Immigration to Brazil

South Region in Brazil

Brazilian south region

A mass immigration from neighbouring countries to the south region of Brazil started to began in 1966, these immigrants were affected by the chaos and national conflicts of their nations, in result they started to search for shelter in the south of Brazil that was already stable, it was becoming to be a lot overpopulated so the emperor took the decision to move all immigrants to Uruguay (Uruguay was abandoned due to wars), claim Uruguay to be Brazilian territory and rename it to Cisplatina.

Diplomatic mission to the United Federation

Marcos Oliveira made an international diplomatic visit to the United Federation of Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas in 1969 to trade the produced sugar from Brazil for the louisianian cotton (the stock of cotton in Brazil was ending), he then embarked in the SS.Imperial to go to the port of New Orleans. After getting there and meeting the louisianian president, Marcos met his daughter Nicole West, they have talked a lot and they liked each other, Marcos decided to stay in the United Federation a "little"(2 months), in this time they started to date, and later get married.

Brazil's golden age (1969-1972)

When Marcos returned from the United Federation with Nicole (they were already dating), Marcos said to the local Brazilian producers that the louisianian president accepted the agreement so Brazil would exchange the produced sugar for the louisianian cotton. The cotton would produce clothes and some furniture, so the country would earn enough to fill the public treasure. Continuously gain of money from the selling of cotton-produced materials, quicky made Brazil a wealth country. Regions in the south of America slowly began to stabilize, forming new countries, some of those countries asked for the help of BIR to rebuild them, The president of BIR then began to help those nations, but for a tax, making Brazil even more richer. The excess of money made Brazil to invest more in education, health, security and infrastructure.

Marcos Oliveira's wedding

Marcos Oliveira asked to marry Nicole West, as she accepted it, they got married on October 17, 1971. During the wedding party, a man named: Hunter Morrison tried to assassinate the Emperor, but he failed and was caught trying to poison the emperor's wine, while he was being interrogated, he shouted: "Long live Texania!", he quickly stole a weapon from the guard, and committed suicide. Marcos Oliveira asked for answers from the Texanian embassy in Rio de Janeiro, but they only said that the embassy was going to be shut down, because Brazil was trading with the United Federation, their number one enemy.

Texanian conflict

After talking with the ambassadors of Texania, the emperor got mad and he demanded to Texania paiy $1.000.000,00 West Dollars to the Brazilian treasury, Texania refused and said that: "We won't pay for fascists", but saying so, Brazil declared war to Texania.

War ages (1972-1980)

The Brazilian government invested in propagandas: "Each one in its place, for the victory"

New California was an enemy of Mexico, so after they heard that Mexico entered a war against Brazil and the United Federation, they entered the war in the Brazilian side. This Conflict was called: "Texanian War", and the war lasted for 8 years.

The civilians and the war

The Emperor made a mandatory enlistment program in Brazil to increase the number of Brazilian soldiers in the war, doing that many young people and adults were forced to enlist, and probably die in the war. The most prejudicated people in Brazil were the population of Belém. Belém was heavily attacked in a confront called: Last tear battle. In this battle, the city of Belém was destroyed, still the Brazilian Allies were victorious. The population of Belém that survived the Last tear battle complained about the war and if it was really necessary to keep it.

Some Texanian civilians complained about the war, those who did that were executed by the government accused to betray the nation.

The advance of Allied troops

After the Last tear battle over Belém, the Brazilians and its allies advanced to Baja in Mexico and to the south of Venezuela. About 4 years passed and Nueva Venezuela, and north of Mexico were occupied by the Brazilians and its allies. But as the allies advanced, Texania began to attack more heavily the United Federation, occupying more and more the Federative land. in 4 june, 1978, the Texanians sucessfully invaded New Orleans, and then entered in the parliament, killing every single politic, and one of them was Peter West, the current president of the United Federation. After Marcos Oliveira and his wife (Nicole West) discovered that Texania killed him, Marcos ordered that the military attacked Texania by the coast (he was planning a Texanian D-Day). Nicole, (Marcos' wife and Peter's daughter) ordered the construction of a monument dedicated for Peter West and for the alliance between Brazil and the United Federation. After more 4 years, the Texanian capital (Dallas), was surrounded by the allied troops, and Texania finally surrended, making all the citizens in all allied countries to commemorate as they won the war.

The Treaty of State Port

After the allied countries won the war, they made a demand treaty called "The Treaty of State Port": Texania and its allies had to pay for the expenses and the losses to the victorious countries (estimated 3.2 Billion West Dollars), Mexico had to give away the Baja Peninsula, Nueva Venezuela had to kill their president, and Texania had to stop producing weapons and ammunitions. This treaty made a revolt in the losers countries as everything in those places were destroyed.

Technology Era (1980-1996)

The war finally ended and Brazil could now invest in something else then Military. With the Soviet Union, France and Japan investing in space exploration and in recreation, Brazil started to develop new inventions and video games.

Video Game Industry

Brazil didn't developed a lot of new video games, but they sure invested a lot to do it so. Brazil created a new plataform called: "Netuno 16-Bit". This plataform supported many of the games Brazil and Japan developed. (WIP)
