Braskies are the former farmers and residents of the Great Plains, and one of the major groups of migrants in the Great Migrations. Most Braskies moved into Colorado and the Mississippi River Basin, Braskies are often valued for their agricultural know-how; and other technical skills. In some places, including many belt nations, they are viewed as freeloaders, abusers, and criminals.

Most Braskies are between the ages of 15-25, often Caucasian or Latino, and very often multilingual, usually speaking English, Spanish, or Krioyo Teksas. In Colorado, many learn Navajo or Sioux; and in the Mississippi River Basin, many learn Cajun, Kreyol, or Batin Tok.
