The Blockade of Guam was a naval blockade enacted by the People's Liberation Army Navy that attempted to starve off U.S. Forces stationed in the U.S. territories of Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. This was followed by a limited Chinese invasion force which failed like what happened in the Philippines. Eventually, the United States was able to destroy the blockade with a combination of destroyers, frigates, submarines, fighter jets, and long range bombers - including the famed B-52 bomber, the B1 Lancer, and the F117 Nighthawk.
