The cover image for a 1494 printing of The Beastfolk Chronicles, one of the "primary sources" in this ATL.

Hello! I am Addemup. This ATL was inspired by Meraux's World, which was never really fleshed out in my opinion. I liked the concept, and so I took it and placed it into the Middle Ages.

There will be several "primary sources" (as in from the ATL) that will be referenced throughout the pages of this timeline (and possibly even being written in their entirety), which I am doing to make it more realistic.

In this ATL, a series of strange events led to the wild animals of Great Britain gaining intelligence, soon competing with humans.

Timeline[]

1182[]

March 12: A Grey mothership appears over the British Isles, blocking the sun out for two days.

March 14: The mothership leaves Earth, leaving a rabbit that is able to speak his own language in Oxfordshire, England.

Spring-Summer: The rabbit then proceeds to teach other rabbits this language, including his offspring.

1183[]

Winter-Spring: The number of Leporine-speaking rabbits reaches 100.

October 11: The First Encounter: a group of about seven rabbits find some peasants. The rabbits, frightened by the larger humans, run from the peasants.

1184[]

The rabbits become increasingly noticed by humans as they spread across England. The humans consider the rabbits to be miracles sent by God.

The rabbits begin teaching their language to other species, namely wolves and hogs.

1185[]

Spring-Summer: The rabbits begin to wield spears.
