Bavaria (Officially The Kingdom of Bavaria) is a landlocked sovereign country in Europe.
History[]
1870-1923[]
Bavaria became a federal state of The German Empire following the victory in the Franco-Prussian war which led to Germany becoming unified.
Independence[]
Following the end of the Great War and the signing of the Versailles Treaty, the Bavarian population felt that the Weimar republic's economy was in shambles. So on 12 August 1923, Bavaria issued the Bavarian Act of Independence to the German Reichdag. Following their Independence they saw themselves no longer bound by the Versailles Peace Treaty and renounced it. On 1 December, 1923 They crowned Crown Prince Rupprect of Bavaria to become the new king of Bavaria.
Military[]
The Royal Bavarian Army consists of two branches
- The Luftwaffe
- The Royal Army
The Royal Army consists of the 1st and 2nd armies.
The 1st Army is responsible for guarding the border with Germany and is commanded by Paul von Lettow-Vorbeck.
The 2nd Army is responsible for guarding the Austrian border and is commanded by Erwin Rommel.
The Luftwaffe is commanded by Manfred Von Richtoften.
Administrative States[]
The Kingdom of Bavaria is divided into seven administrative districts called Regierungsbezirke. Each district is governed by a duke/duchess who reports to the king of Bavaria.
