Battle of Magrudzony (Napoleon's World)

The Battle of Magrudzony was an engagement during the Alaskan War between the United States' Army of Oregon and Alaska's Army of the Pacific at the fortress of Magrudzony on the Chilkotin Plateau in modern-day Borodin-Rozan, from 10-12 September 1886. It marked the end of the Fraser Plateau Campaign, in which the forces of George Jameson's Army of Oregon cemented control of the Fraser River Valley and its tributaries throughout the summer of 1886, and was the final battle in the Western theater of the war. The battle was a decisive American victory against the beleauguered and undermanned Alaskans, and resulted in the surrender of the Alaskan commander, Boris Sukov, and all of his 41,000 remaining men.
