Basseterre is the capital city of Corner Islands.

History[]

Basseterre was started in 1537 by 107 French colonist's. There were only few buildings of wood and straw. More people started coming by 1540s and in 1543 a small fort Fort de Basseterre was built. In 1560 it becamed the capital of the Colony of Îles du Cornets.
