Barlas (Timur the Zoroastrian)

The Barlas were a Mongolian tribe who settled in Central Asia after the Mongol invasion. The Barlas were descended from a direct anscestor of Genghis Khan. This tribe is also the chief clan of the Timurid Emperors, and therefore a powerful political force in Zoroastrianism.
