Axis vs Allies Revitalized is the SEVENTH and latest installment of the AvA game to date!!!

The year is 1933. Hitler has just taken power in Germany. The world is still in a depression. Unemployment is high. Choose a nation, and command it to success and glory. Will your nation become a superpower? Or will it be crushed? Make no mistake; war is coming ... with all its glory ... and all its horror.

It is never too late to join, as Pita would say.

Rules

  1. We are going to limit the nations count to one because when a person gets two countries, they usually neglect the other one.
  2. The Golden Rule: Treat others as you want to be treated ... IS NOT IT! But - you must be plausible.
  3. Nuclear programs may start in 1940. The mods will decide who finishes through the chance algorithm and then common sense (which is not so common).
  4. One half year per day.
  5. We will have resolutions/stuff when the UN is created.
  6. For now, Scraw is the mapmaker.
  7. New turns start at 22:00:00 UTC or 5:00 EST.
  8. Game is archived every 15 years.
  9. A new image file is created for every new map, which is created every two years.
  10. After a nation has been inactive for two years, Plausibility Points will be taken away. After five years, the user will be removed from the game.
  11. You may create proxies and use them in turns.
  12. You can develop TWO of the following per turn (military, economy, infrastructure)
  13. Until a player posts, all their diplomacy is to be decided by RNG.

Mod Rules

  1. The number of mods is set and the mods are handpicked for their reputation as sane and plausible map gamers.
  2. In the case that a mod leaves, the other mods will pick a replacement.
  3. Mods must be plausible in their mod events and must not target any particular nation.
  4. Carving large empires is NOT a cause for mod targeting, unless it is implausible.
  5. Mods are moderated by the mods.
  6. Mods can make up their own fancy titles!

Vassal Rules

  1. You can not make stupid vassals. This means that if you are France, you can not make a puny vassal to help in an algorithm.
  2. No carving vassals from your main nation, unless it is a location of great dispute (ex: Catalonia from Spain is OK).
  3. Main nations can declare war on a nation that border a vassal.

Organization Rules

  1. Anyone can create a terrorist organization, but anyone who is less than a primary power can not use terrorism to destroy heads of government or state, or to blow up seats of government.
  2. Organizations are not allowed in algorithms (The US player can not use the KKK when invading Canada).

Map Rules

  • Each map must be labelled "AvARv X.Y.png" where X is the year and Y is only used in the half turn.
  • Any file type except .png is not accepted.
  • Only exception to the First rule is the starting map XD.
  • A map will be made in every year that is divisible by five. Exception is the first one because it is so cute and special.

Mods: Please reign in the players. I can go down a list and name all the implausible stuff right off the bat. Brazil can't construct that many ships that fast, those kinds of ships take years. Japan is militaristic and can't ally with the west (it has a total vendetta against the west) and the list goes on. If it continues I will resign! -Feud

Japan declined them all. And Brazil didn't finish them, he just began construction. LOL -Toby

Japan only declined them after I posted my rant on the talk page. Also Brazil can not influence both Uruguay and Paraguay at once.

  • USSR: Joseph Stalin declares farms to be built in Russia to stave off famine. In many parts of the Ukraine, though, Ukrainians continue dying. Those rebeling against the government are sent to gulags in the Far East. The Red Army expands with people all over the Union signing up. Propaganda can be found in every major city. A statue of Stalin is erected in Kviv. Designs for new bombers are proposed.
    • Mexico: President Calles and his regime would be interested in growing closer to the USSR. Why don't we start off with a few trade deals?
  • Japan: Japan begins to build up its military and continues industrialisation. Meanwhile, small rebellions pop out across Manchuria and Korea, and the military begins to deal with them. Prime Minister Saitō Makoto asks the USSR for a non-aggression pact. The Democratic Party is established by Ichirō Hatoyama.
  • USSR Dip: Accepts the NAP.
  • Tibetan Dip: Request an alliance.
  • Japan Diplomacy: Prime Minister Saitō Makoto declines Tibet's alliance offer.
  • Canada: We build up our military and expand our economy. We request an alliance with Japan and Brazil. Richard Bennett tells the Canadians that even though we are lovers of peace, we will react to German acts of violence and will always follow the UK into wars.
  • Japan Diplomacy: Prime Minister Saitō Makoto declines Canada's alliance offer.
  • Brazilian Diplomacy: We accept the offer.
  • Brazil: We begin to build up our military and expand our economy. We ask for trade relations with Germany, Russia and America. We begin to improve our infrastructure. We also begin influencing Paraguay and Uruguay. We commence construction on two new battleships and five new destroyers.
  • Brazil can not influence two nations at once, especially not Paraguay. The Brazilian navy was, last time I've checked, not quite developed and seems to have been primarily used for coastal defense. You need a few years just to prepare everything for the construction of ships, and even then your economy isn't strong enough for seven ships in a half-year. -Sky.
  • Brazilian Diplomacy: We ask for trade relations with America, Germany and the USSR.
  • Yugoslavia: We build up our military and navy. Alexander Karadordevic asks Czechoslovakia If he can barrow 6.5 million dollars to build factories with. Farming is our most important industry at this time. We ask Russia, Czechoslovakia, Germany, Spain for an alliance. Our cities are being built up to be more industrial.
  • At the moment in time, you have no money to spend on industry.
  • Czechoslovak Diplomacy: OK, but your farmland must be collateral against the debt.
  • Yugoslavian Dip: We accept to the terms to make this happen.
  • Czechoslovakia: Czechoslovak engineers continue to work on innovating our tanks. The government, sick of the protests of the Sudetenland Germans, ask Germany to take them in as German citizens. We offer an alliance to Germany, and the USSR. We begin to produce tanks, offering the blueprints to any country that allies with us, for monetary gain. Our tanks are added to the military, but moving them illustrates the poor nature of our road network, so we improve them. We begin working on creating an Air Force, and request blueprints for planes from other nations, although our aeronautical engineers are working on designing planes. (Mil Turn) We offer an alliance to Hungary.
  • USSR Dip: Accepts alliance and asks for the tank blueprints.
  • Czechoslovak Diplomacy: OK, but we need money in return, please.
  • Iranian Dip: We offer a fair amount of oil and money for 50 tanks.
  • Italy: Benito Mussolini continues to deliver Italian Nationalism and Fascism to the citizens of Italy. We emphasize with Germany/Third Reich about the talk of "*Cough**Cough*Obama*Cough**Cough* I mean Democratic Idiots". In order to preserve our Fascist ways, we will discus withdrawing from the League of Nations to keep our tensions from rising over the point at a LoN assembly. Benito Mussolini States in a press conference: "It's wrong that Churchill is talking about us, and he doesn't even know what potential Fascism has." Talks begin with Germany to create an alliance, as our army and navy are improved. (Infrastructure turn).
  • My reasons for crossing this nonsense out are obvious, I believe. -Sky.
  • Turkey: In order to further the speed of the creation of a modern Turkish nation, the government introduces the law on family names and the abolition of titles and by-names. In late December, rights for women to vote and be elected are passed as well. These laws are followed by the expansion of the Turkic economy. Knowing that Turkey must also remain true to its main religion, an alliance offer is sent to Saudi Arabia and Iran in order to found the Muslim League. Acknowledging, however, that Turkey must strengthen its ties with the west as well, NAP offers are sent to Italy and Czechoslovakia: whilst Czechoslovakia is also asked to confirm the offer with tank blueprints. Being informed about the current political movements, the Turkish government also decides to offer an NAP to the USSR in order to show support for the people's choice to choose their own type of government. On the other hand, knowing that Turkey must maintain peace in these turbulent times, an offer of a trade pact is sent to the United States of America and an NAP offer to Britain seeing as how the Saudi government owes its position to the British.
  • Just FYI, I retconned my own post because all of these alliance were helping the Axis cause too far. So most alliances were retconned to NAPs. -Sky
  • Czechoslovak Diplomacy: We accept the offer, but require payment on delivery for the Tank Blueprints.
  • Turkish Diplomacy: Accepted. However, the payment will be received over the course of three years.
  • USSR Diplomacy: We accept the NAP.
  • Italian Diplomacy: Benito Mussolini accepts the NAP.
  • Saudi Dip We accept the Muslim League proposal and offer the USSR and Italy alliances (or NAPs, whatever floats your boats) due to the mutual ally of Turkey.
    • Italian Diplomacy: Benito Mussolini accepts the alliance.
    • USSR Diplomacy: Accepts.
  • Iranian Dip: We decline the alliance but offer a trade deal instead.
  • Turkish Diplomacy: Accepted.
  • Saudi Dip: Accepted.
  • Saudi Arabia: Ibn Saud has three major issues facing his still freshly birthed kingdom. The first of these issues is that Saudi Arabia has little to market in terms of resources. We lack the fertile land of many other nations and having no major KNOWN reserves for resources puts the Saudis in a tough situation. On top of that, Saudi Arabia lacks a strong military, though the military is developed, it is still inadequate compared to Europe. The third issue facing the King is the unclear borders, particularly the North Yemen-Saudi border.
  • Poland: We request an alliance with the USSR with Nazi Germany now in play. We begin researching tanks and aircraft, in the hopes of maintaining our independence. We ask Czechoslovakia for an alliance as well, and request that we may trade with them. We ask for a trade agreement with Saudi Arabia, and begin building factories across Eastern Poland. In the meantime, the government plans for war, with East Prussia on the list. Anti-Fascism is encouraged, and we treat Germans living in our nation fairly.
  • Saudi Arabia" Declines. Poland has nothing the Saudis can't get elsewhere.
  • Please let me have an alliance with Russia. It is the one way I can survive.
  • Spartan, there's no common sense in that at all. You can't have an alliance with Russia. It's ASB to begin with, but also with Nazi Germany? No way.
  • I did not offer an alliance to Nazi Germany!
  • Colombia: After the final end of the Colombo-Peruvian war, the Colombian government extends a hand to the Peruvian government in order to re-establish good relations with the government. While this, the Venezuelan government is approached with the idea of a political union in order to establish more control over territories and to solve the territorial disputes remaining within the countries without the outcome it came to happen in Peru. While this, military and navy are built up and economy expands. to accelerate the growth of the country more resources are being exported and a little more economic rights are being given to the American traders. The United States is asked for an alliance or a non-aggression pact if needed. We seek for any foreign European aid to achieve the countries growth.
    • Iranian Dip: We offer a trade deal to Colombia.
    • Mexican Dip: We offer trade deals to Colombia.
  • Mandate of Palestine: The British authorities in charge of the Mandate continue to try to keep things under control. However, the rising Jewish population caused by the rising migration of Ashkanazi from Europe furthers the tensions between Jewish and Muslim groups in the Mandate. Under the leadership of David Ben-Gurion and other right-wing Zionists the organization known as Haganah continues to grow in size and its structure shifts from a small paramilitary group into an underground army which aims to protect Jewish settlements throughout the Mandate. mild co-operation between Haganah and British Authorities continue in an effort to suppress Muslim insurgents following the end of the Riots of 1929. The small but growing Jewish community open businesses and a few try to set up small factories with British support in coastal cities such as Tel Aviv and Jaffa. The Palestinian and Jordanian population look with growing concern at the rising Jewish population and some groups lead by radical leaders continue acting out with violence to try to prevent Jewish settlement throughout the territory. Irgun and other extremist Jewish groups act out against the Palestinians in revenge. Zionist leaders continue to promote Jewish immigration from Europe to the Holy Land.
  • Tibet: Tenzin Gyatso is recognized as the latest, and 14th, re-incarnation of the Dalai Lama. He begins an urgent reorganization of the military in order to defend the nation against encroaching Chinese warlords. A core of 50,000 men are given Western-style training and begin to rearm with modern weapons. The Dalai Lama proclaims the abolition of serfdom, already virtually nonexistent, replacing the duty of providing tithes to monasteries with the duty of compulsory military service for the good of the nation. Trained sergeants begin drilling these militias. Tibet begins construction of a railway to link the country, but this is expected to take years and will likely require Western investment. Tibet begins using the power of the clergy in Bhutan to influence the country, with its king expected to acknowledge the Dalai Lama's suzerainty in the next few years. Tibet begins to encourage repressed Mongolians to Uighurs to rebel against China, sending them such arms as can be spared from the military.
    • Iranian Dip: We offer an alliance and free-trade deal to the Tibetans. An extravagant carpet is sent as a gift to Tenzin Gyasto from Reza Shah.
    • Tibet: Accepts the alliance and trade deal.
  • Tibetan Dip: We request investment in our proposed railway from an industrialized nation and offer the right to explore for minerals within Tibet in return.
  • Germany: The election of the Nazi Party to be the dominant political party has energized both a majority of the population and the Nazi leadership, who begin new efforts to rebuild the infrastructure of the country. Highways and factories are started, hoping to make the nation's economy much more efficient and reliable. At the suggestion of party leaders and young member Albert Speer, Adolf Hitler, the new Chancellor of Germany, sends geologists to other areas of the world for resources, like Saudi Arabia. This causes a rift with Heinrich Himmler and other hardline fanatics, who would rather see such funds put to use to locating Thule and sending expeditions to Tibet. Research into weapons and tanks are undertaken, as Hitler's first objective is to regain control of the Rhineland and secure the integrity of Germany's borders. To further the economic growth of the nation, trade agreements are accepted from Brazil and others who ask for it.
    • Iranian Dip: Reza Shah sends an extravagant carpet to Adolf Hitler and offer warm relations and a trade deal.
  • Greece: Asks England and Germany for trade agreement and investment of infrastructure of Greece and research.
    • Italian Diplomacy: Mussolini declines.

No offense, but that's very unrealistic to rebuild the Roman Empire, and in 1933? No way. I recommend you read this this to help you a little bit on map games

Adolf Hitler actually convinced Benito Mussolini to help him by offering to help Italy form a new Roman Empire in OTL. It was stupid, but it worked.

  • British Raj: Peaceful protests across India surge, Mahatma Gandhi continues to practice non-violence. Unfortunately, British authorities are less peaceful, a rally in the streets of Delhi takes a violent turn as hundreds are beaten by armed Indian Civil Service members. The resulting riots and confrontations across India and Pakistan alarm the British forces. A meeting is called by the Indian National Congress demanding independence from Britain at once. Gandhi, however, remains resolute in his goal of peaceful separation.
    • Iranian Secret Dip: Support is sent to Indian rebels, but only the ones in favor of breaking up India when independence is achieved.
    • Tibet asks for a non-aggression pact with British authorities.
  • United States of America: The US begins to sign into legislation under FDR multiple programs developed to help the economy putting young men to work on public works projects. However in a stunning choice, he allows for some of the men to begin working on naval ships and begins spending moderate amounts of money into fixing the economy. Along with this, the US starts to work fixing the Dust Bowl situation and begins the long road to economic recovery. The US begins to work on a few projects military research-wise. FDR is unwilling to fall behind regardless of the country's isolationism. The navy is expanded lightly in this regard with a few transports and destroyers being put up for construction. Many roads and infrastructure projects are also undertaken in order to help facilitate a steady paycheck to many of the previously unemployed men. The military, however, is cut back in personnel in order to allow for some research and equipment expansion. The US - also in order to provide more jobs and some raw materials - opens up various ore, oil, lumber, and other resource projects to be worked on to facilitate a semi-self sufficient recovery.
    • Iranian Dip: We offer a trade deal to America.
  • Australia: All is well in Australia.
  • Iran: Reza Shah's rigorous industrialization policies are continued being carried out, and the Trans-Iranian railway continues being toiled on. The Shah also expresses interest in nationalizing oil and saffron companies, as well as the banks. The military is improved and military drills are carried out regularly, and research into aeroplanes, tanks and submarines begin. To combat growing distaste for him amongst his people, Reza Shah makes some few concessions to traditionalists.
  • Liechtenstein: We ask if any country would be willing to offer us military protection as we are worried we might be conquered soon. We also ask for trade deals with Switzerland, France, Austria, and Italy.
  • Mexico: Mexico works to shake off the shell shock from its most recent revolution, which ended in 1929. President Plutarco Elias Calles establishes social reforms, though his main concern is ensuring that his longtime ally and subordinate, Manuel Pérez Treviño, becomes his successor. Should Treviño win the election, Mexico will continue to enact socialist reforms. As persecution of Catholics continues, the number of priests drops well below 500 in Mexico. Treviño hopes to take it a step farther if he is elected; he hopes to expel Christianity from Mexico completely. To ensure that Treviño will be elected, President Calles plans to foil the plans of the opposing candidate. He also takes steps to improve the economy. Calles wishes to draw closer ties to the President of Guatemala, Manuel Estrada Cabrera, who shares similar leadership styles with Calles. Mexico also hopes to influence El Salvador.
  • It's quite literally impossible to expel Christianity from Mexico apart from the fact that the entire population is Catholic. No Communist country was able to eradicate religion completely - suppress it sure, outlaw it sure, but kill it off? no way. With Blood and Iron (talk) 21:06, June 4, 2014 (UTC)
  • Hope to =/= actually be able to do it. Mexico isn't Communist and the Catholic part is OTL.
  • Hungary, just recovering from the Great Depression and World War I, is shocked that Europe has been flung into another war. Using quick diplomacy, President Ferenc Szalsl immediately asks Austria for an alliance. Hungary starts slowly improving its economy.
  • Ummm --- technically, Hungary is a monarchy although the king is in exile and the country is ruled by a regent. With Blood and Iron (talk) 13:36, June 5, 2014 (UTC)

1934

Gaston Doumergue forms a new government in France.

The Austrian Civil War occurs and concludes in the month of February. The Patriotic Front is victorious and results in the downfall of the multiparty system.

The Commonwealth of the Philippines are formed.-

Economy turn for NPC's.

  • USSR: Exporting goods to nearby countries continues boosting the economy. The famine in Ukraine begins to slow, but many are dead or weak of starvation. Ethnic Russians begin moving into the area. The models for the bombers are passed and begin construction, as well as tanks based on Czech designs. Stalin's approval among ethnic Russians grows. Communists in China are funded.
    • Yugoslavia Dip: We ask for an alliance.
    • USSR Dip: Declines.
  • Yugoslavia: We build up our military and navy. Farming is our most important industry at this time. With the money we got from Czechoslovakia, we start to industrialize each of our cities. Factories are being built in every city. The military starts to build prototype tanks and aircraft for the military. We ask Austria for an alliance. We also ask Germany for an alliance. We build up our port cities to fit more ships into our harbors. Our nation declares bankruptcy
    • Czechoslovak Diplomacy: We require our money paid back in full. As you have spent it, we must take the lands listed as collateral. Please evacuate the Czechoslovak holdings you are inhabiting. Thank you.
  • Tibet: Tenzin Gyatso begins an urgent reorganization of the military in order to defend the nation against encroaching Chinese warlords. A core of 25,000 men are given Western-style training and begin to rearm with modern weapons. The Dalai Lama proclaims the abolition of serfdom, already virtually nonexistent. The tribal militias are reorganized into a centralized system. Tibet continues to fund and arm the Uighurs.
  • Any reason this serfdom can't be abolished, given it no longer had any affect by this point? Why can't I build a railway? Please explain.
  • To be honest, dude has a point. Serfdom can indeed be abolished by the government, the same way it had be under the Chinese after Tibet's annexation. And Tibet can construct a railway if it wishes. Also, Tibet's militias were unified under a central command during the warlord era of China, and even before then, Tibet had a unified military force which combated British in the 1800s. I see no reason for these actions to be crossed out. ~Viva
  • Seriously, can I get an explanation? Or did the mods just cross this out for sadistic entertainment? (Mod response needed)
  • But in 1930 and onward, China totally smashed Tibet's military. They aren't coming back from that in a hurry.
  • Um, no. China had no unified government. Instead, it had a bunch of warlords, who did fight Tibet, but didn't "smash" anything, because they were too busy fighting each other. TIbet was crushed in 1950. And even if you were factually correct, how would military defeat prevent me from, say, re-organizing and drilling pre-existing militias. Mods, please uncross this.
  • Tibetan Dip: Asks for an alliance with Mongolia. (Mod response needed).
  • Czechoslovakia: We continue innovating tanks and planes. We start a program where for every child a family has, they are given a yearly additional monetary incentive. We offer alliances to: Austria, Germany, Hungary, Italy and the USSR. Following Austria's approval of the alliance, and Yugoslavian refusal to return our money, we request Austrian permission to move troops through their lands to take our new lands from the bankrupt nation. We do not expect much resistance, as they have little military or money. We make contact with key figures, such as one "Tito" in the Communist Party, promising Czechoslovakia will support an independent Croatia, or that he could stand for leadership of the entire of Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia included, as Communism is popular in Czechoslovakia, following trade with the USSR.
    • Austria approves the alliance.
      • Yugoslavia Dip: You do not own my land, you gave me the money to spend. So I spent it to build my country up. So I will repay you when I make enough money in my country to give it back to you.
      • Scarlet, you listed the lands as collateral. That means he can take the farmlands if you don't repay him when he wants you to. And, since you didn't actually state when the money was going to be repaid, he can technically, ask, nay, DEMAND IT whenever he wants. I mean, although it's a low move, you should have thought about it before making any agreements. -Sky
  • Iceland: We modernize our two coast guard ships and refit our ten patrol boats. . There are 20 officers, and 160 enlisted personnel in the Coast Guard. There are 20 officers, and 160 enlisted personnel in the Coast Guard, manning 12 ships and boats. The patrol ship, ICGV Óðinn is armed with two 57 mm 1898 Hotchkiss cannons, four M2 Browning machine guns, and one depth charge projector. The patrol boat, ICGV Ægir is armed with one 57 mm 1898 Hotchkiss cannon, two 37 mm anti-aircraft guns, two M2 Browning machine guns, and a depth charge projector. Fishing fleets are modernized, increasing our economy. We look into purchasing two cargo planes and six patrol planes. The police are armed with Lee-Enfield rifles.
  • Germany: The nation is struck by a tragedy this year, as Chancellor Adolf Hitler is assassinated by Communist ex-Freikorp member Beppo Romer. Shot dead by the man, Hitler dies nearly instantly in the early part of the year. The death of the Chancellor causes a massive backlash against the Communists, and many are killed in riots organized by the Brownshirts. Romer himself is beaten to death by Hitler's guards and the furious people nearby. Faced with an empty office and nearing the end of his life, Hindenburg elects Alfren Hugenburg to the office of Chancellor, noting his exceptional skill at communicating to the German people and his political experience and connections with both the DNVP and the Nazi Party as well as the Hitler government. This leads to some backlash by the Nazis, who are angry that a member of their party was not elected to the position, but the military back Hindenburg's position and keep the country relatively calm. Hugenburg, already in political union with the Nazis, bridges the gap further by introducing many Nazi politicians and members into the new government, including Bornmann, Hess, Göbbles, Speer, and Göring. Other political and military members like Ernst Röhm,  Kurt von Schleicher, and Erich Raeder, are considered for political influence. Hugenburg begins to use the power of the state to solidify power around himself just like Hitler was doing. He also passes several Nazi laws to bolster his popularity with said party, such as the Hereditary Sterelization Act, amongst others. To further instill a sense of pride in Germany, the former flag of Imperial Germany is brought back as the state flag, replacing the Black-Red-Gold with the Black-White-Red. The trade deals with Iran and other nations are agreed to, and German geologists are sent to those lands for mineral mapping. The alliance offer with Czechoslovakia is carefully considered, and will be decided upon after the successful transfer of the nearly three million Sudentenland Germans to Germany, which begins this March. Closer ties with Italy are also considered. Research into new weapon designs as well as stronger fighting vehicles continues, along with better and faster airplane designs.
  • I'm sorry MP, I know you're more or less the head mod, but are you crazy? It's completely illogical and implausible for all those Sudetenland Germans to willingly give up their homeland just to be in Germany. This makes no sense. -Sky
  • I've been deporting them from Czechoslovakia. He means when that is finished.
    • Liechtenstein dip: Asks for trade and military protection.
    • German Diplomacy: We will happily protect our Germanic brethren, and agree to trade with them as well.
    • Iranian Dip: Reza Shah personally attends Adolf Hitler's funeral. We ask that Germany aid us in our goals of modernization.
    • Canada Dip: Richard Bennett attends Adolf Hitler's funeral.
    • Iceland Dip: Ásgeir Ásgeirsson attends Adolf Hitler's funeral.
    • France Dip: Gaston Doumergue attends Adolf Hitler's funeral.
    • Yugoslavia Dip: Alexander Karadordevic attends Adolf Hitler's funeral.
    • Turkish Dip: Mustafa Kemal Atatürk attends Adolf Hitler's funeral.
  • Liechtenstein: We ask for trade with our nearby states. Also ask for military protection in return for machinery and dental products.
  • Brazil: We continue to build up our military and expand our economy. We begin to improvise our infrastructure and commence construction of factories, shipyards and other buildings for economic use. We continue influencing Uruguay.
  • Sweden: The economy is given top priority and we offer a trade deal to Germany, Poland and Brazil. We also offer a defensive alliance to Finland, Norway, Iceland and Denmark to defend Scandinavia from any invasion. The coast guard receives five new small ships to reduce smuggling.
    • German Diplomacy: The trade deal is accepted by the German government.
    • Iceland Diplomacy: We accept a purely defensive alliance.
    • Iceland Diplomacy: We ask to purchase one mine hunter.
  • Estonia: Konstantin Päts has been elected leader of Estonia. One of his main focuses, is to align with Latvia and Lithuania in an alliance which would be called the Baltic Alliance. Another priority is to build the military in terms of invasion from either the USSR or Poland.
  • United States of America: The US begins to sign into legislation under FDR multiple programs developed to help the economy putting young men to work on public works projects. However, in a stunning choice, he allows for some of the men to begin working on naval ships and begins spending moderate amounts of money into fixing the economy. Along with this, the US starts to work on fixing the Dust Bowl situation and begins the long road to economic recovery. The US begins to influence more pro-US elements in Mexico and warns the Mexicans that the socialist policies will not be tolerated here. FDR begins to increasingly influence Cuba back into the American sphere in order to expand the US economy back into the area begrudgingly moving past his previous issues of non-interventionism in the country by using its populace as a market for American goods. The military contracts Boeing with the construction of a new heavy bomber and new engines are considered for this. A man in the company privately looks into jet engine research. The US begins to put more people to work in factories and other areas in an attempt to fix the economy further. US research into more modern tanks begins remembering their effectiveness under Patton in the First World War.
    • Iceland Diplomacy: We request to purchase two cargo planes and six patrol planes.
    • Haganah Secret Diplomacy: Under the orders of David Ben-Gurion representatives of Haganah request a meeting with Roosevelt and the American congress to discuss the possibility of securing American morale support for the Jewish plight and the Zionist cause for a Jewish Homeland.
  • Ethiopia: Ethiopia's continues with its modernization, moving to establish the country's first university at Addis Ababa, under the direction of the emperor himself. Development of a railway network begins with the creation of a railway from Addis Ababa to Bahir Dar, where the emperor plans to construct a heavy weapons facility for his military forces. The military continues its training with the government seeking to modernize the military by way of introducing new firearms, artillery and possibly even tanks. Plans to construct dams throughout the northwestern portions of the country are initiated with the hope of defraying the potential of droughts in the nation. With a reservoir of fresh water, farmers will be able to water their farms with little fear of drought in the future. The dams will also double as hydroelectric plants, producing the needed power for the growing capital and the planned new urban centers across the country. The economic centers of the nation begin searching for foreign investment into the country, seeking to gain new injections of hard money to be used for the construction of the railways and the dams to power the nation.
    • US Dip: We wish to modestly invest in the country. It would be more but great depression and whatnot.
    • Iranian Dip: We offer a trade-deal and alliance to Ethiopia.
    • Ethiopian Resp: Ethiopia would be more than happy to accept the economical investment from the United States, and to establish a trade deal with the Iranian government.
  • Thailand: Thailand begins to build up its military. Meanwhile, some new Buddhist temples are built.
  • Iran: Reza Shah's rigorous industrialization policies are continued to be carried out, and the Trans-Iranian railway continues to be toiled on. All saffron and opium plantations are nationalized as the the new national company takes over. Military modernization continues on course and is expected to be fully modernized by 1950. Our first few tanks are made. Military drills are carried out along the Afghanistan border. We offer Japan a trade-deal and alliance.
    • Iranian Secret Dip: Funding to extremist Jordanians and Palestinians as well as separatist Indians grows.
    • US Dip: We agree to the previous trade deal.
  • Colombia: The influencing of Venezuela continues, as well as the creation of better relations with Peru. While this, the Mexican offer is accepted as well as the Iranian. While this, the government continues funding the trading and farming industry of the country and begins to focus into steering the country's main economy toward resources such as oil from the Guajira. and coal from the rest of the country. While this, the government begin seeking to learn to create a destroyer with aid from either Germany or Britain. The military, navy and infrastructure are built up.
  • Australia: Everything is cool in Australia.
  • Canada: Richard Bennett creates work camps for unemployed men. They will be working on roads or other projects. We expand our infrastructure, and expand our navy. We offer an alliance to the USA, and offer a trade alliance to France, Brazil and China.
    • France: We accept the trade alliance.
  • Hungary: We ask for union with Yugoslavia, so as to have access to the sea. President Szalasl builds housing and grants benefits to Jews and Gypsies, meanwhile building a prison camp 30 miles out of Budapest and locking up Communists and Slovaks.
  • Hungarian Diplomacy We accept the proffered alliance from Czechoslovakia.
  • Poland: A Communist revolution occurs in Krakow, and quickly spreads to the rest of the country. The new government is Communist, and requests an alliance with the USSR, the only other Communist country. Massive military upgrade begins, with up-to-date weapons being created, and a Polish air force being created. Tanks begin to role off the production line, and Poland is declared the People's Republic of Poland.

I ain't no mod, but revolutions don't take half a year - especially not Communist ones. Plus, there was the Polish Soviet War which really mean you wouldn't ally with the Commies.

I'm desperate. Spartian300 (talk) 12:47, June 5, 2014 (UTC)

i agree, spar, you need to develop the revolution over a few years. while Communism was popular in certain circles in Poland at the time the leader at the time was a firm right wing who had complete loyalty from the military, you'll need to take your time. With Blood and Iron (talk) 13:06, June 5, 2014 (UTC)

Also, take your military development one step at a time. With Blood and Iron (talk) 13:06, June 5, 2014 (UTC)

  • Mandate of Palestine: As violence and anti-semitism continue to grow in Europe particularly in Poland, Austria and Germany the Ashkenazi population in coastal areas of the Mandate and Jerusalem continue to grow, while Jewish settlements in other areas of the Mandate mainly near the Jordan river also grow. Tensions between the growing Jewish population and the Muslim locals also grows deeper, fueled by Iranian secret support extremists begin upping their attacks on the Jewish population and on British garrisons. British Authorities in the region and Haganah slowly begin co-operating more, and the British colonial authorities request permission from London to allow Haganah legal authority to maintain a presence around settlements and to help the British troops deal with violent groups (need another mod to respond to this. It is being requested due to the growing tensions and the fact that the Palestinian and Jordanian population are getting aid from outside forces). Independent of British responses, Haganah steps up its activities in the Holy Land in efforts to protect Jews and their new found homes. The organization of the organization continues to grow as Jewish paramilitary become better trained and grow in numbers. David Ben-Gurion continues to preach co-existence with the Muslims but states that the defence of the Jewish settlers is the highest priority and that Haganah will fight to defend the rights of the people they represent. David Ben-Gurion  also requests that the British start acting on their promise of a Jewish Homeland as stated by the Belfour Declaration of 1917. Jewish communities in cities such as Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Jaffa continue to promote growth a local industry and small businesses continue to grow. Radical Palestinians lead by Abd al-Rahim al-Hajj Muhammad begin gathering strength as they plan a revolt against British Authorities, while moderates lead by the more progressive members of the Islamic community look to ease tensions through co-operation and dialogue with the Jewish community and the British authorities. British Captain Wingate is put in charge of organizing a counterinsurgency group to help keep the Mandate under control.
    • Palestinian militants diplomacy: The Palestinian militants request backing in the forms of arms and men from the rest of the Muslim world to expel the westerners from the Holy Land. (OTL this did occur.) And leaders of the Palestinians request an opening of talks with Germany and Italy to gain support for their cause. (Again OTL, Arab nationalists did enter talks with the Axis to gain support for the cause).
  • Mexico: President Calles condemns the American meddling in Mexican affairs, stating that "whatever happens will happens. The United States should be content with that and happy that another maniac is not in charge." He continues to ensure that his political ally is elected President of Mexico. However, complications with the Mexican Congress arise. The congress wants Lázaro Cárdenas to be president of Mexico rather than Treviño. Calles arranges for several key members of Congress to be removed from office through various means. He only succeeds in driving three out. The other political opponents realize Calles' game and are wary. They call for Calles' immediate removal from office. Panicking, Calles arranges for the assassination of these key members. Little does he know, however, that a hit has been placed on him. On the Night of the Endless Wind (La Noche de Viento Interminable), sixteen Mexican congressmen are shot by Calles' men. Cárdenas is also among the targets. With Calles distracted by his plans, he does not notice an assassin entering the room. His bodyguards, too slow to realize, are on the assassin's heel. A flash of light, a bang, and a whiff of gunpowder later, Calles is on the floor. The assassin shot Calles in the back, severing his spinal cord and crippling him. The assassin is unable to finish Calles off; the bodyguards capture him. Calles makes a recovery. The Night of the Endless Wind ends with twelve dead congressmen, four missing congressmen, and a missing Cárdenas. The location of Cárdenas and his assassin are never discovered, though many conspiracy theorists believe that Cárdenas is somewhere out there, plotting his revenge against Calles and his regime. With no other significant opponents in the election, Treviño wins the 1934 election in a landslide, becoming the president of Mexico. He carries out Calles' plans. In the meantime, extermination of Catholicism continues. The number of Catholic priests in 1926 had been 4500. Today, it is around 334. Treviño looks to expand the military of Mexico. A significant change in Treviño's regime is his demeanor toward the US. While Calles was a political adversary of the US, Treviño harbors less animosity. He also brings Guatemala closer into Mexico's sphere of influence, working with their autocratic leader.
  • Portugal: The Portuguese government under António Salazar was generally supported by the Portuguese public despite the fact that it was not a democratic one. Salazar had previously felt nervous when the anti-semitic Fascist Party had won the elections in Germany and now with the Reichstag burning incident and the German withdrawal from the League of Nations; Salazar felt quite afraid as to what exactly Germany was planning. Nevertheless, these incidents did not stop him from sending the Foreign Minister to meet with Adolf Hitler's successor on October 13th, 1933 to discuss further co-operation and trade between the two states. Meanwhile, Portuguese navy and military was developed to protect Portuguese coast lands and Portuguese overseas territories from any invasion from rebellious natives or pirates.
    • Portuguese Angola: Navy and military is developed and natives are recruited to join the Portuguese Overseas Defense Forces [PODF]
    • Portuguese Cape Verde: Navy is developed and natives are recruited to join the Portuguese Overseas Defense Forces [PODF]
    • Portuguese Mozambique: Navy and military is developed and natives are recruited to join the Portuguese Overseas Defense Forces [PODF]
    • Portuguese Guinea Bissau: Navy and military is developed and natives are recruited to join the Portuguese Overseas Defense Forces [PODF]
    • Portuguese São Tomé and Príncipe: Navy and military is developed and natives are recruited to join the Portuguese Overseas Defense Forces [PODF]
    • Portuguese East Timor: Navy and military is developed and natives are recruited to join the Portuguese Overseas Defense Forces [PODF]
    • Portuguese North Atlantic Islands: Navy and military is developed and natives are recruited to join the Portuguese Overseas Defense Forces [PODF]
    • German Diplomacy: Hugenburg and Ribbentrop are happy to meet with the Portuguese minister, and are willing to discuss anything when Portugal is ready.
  • France: The plans for the Maginot Line are changed, to improve the northern fortifications beyond Alsace-Lorraine, going up the Benelux borders. The military begins to be improved, and begins to be modernized for the sake of national defense. This is called 'Le plan de Napoléon', which includes upgrading tanks, airplanes and firearms. It also includes producing more of these three things, plus more conscripting. We begin this plan in the following months after it was devised.
    • Haganah Secret Diplomacy: Under the orders of David Ben-Gurion representatives of Haganah request a meeting with the French President to discuss the future of the Middle East and to possibly obtain French support for the Jewish cause.
  • Turkey: In order to further the speed of the creation of a modern Turkish nation, the government introduces the laïcité law. Although there is no main religion, Islam still stays dominant in Turkey. The Turkish military acquires funds to adapt the Czech tanks to the terrain of the Middle East. Trade deals are offered to Greece and to the Mandate of Palestine.
    • Mandate Diplomacy: Local British authorities agree to the trade offer. However, they request that the Turkish refrain from trading firearms to locals as it might inflame the already tense environment.
    • Saudi Dip: We propose joint weapons research for our mutual benefit.
  • Finland We build up our military and economy.

Only one build up counts. ~Edge

  • Saudi Arabia: Due to the discovery of oil in the surrounding region, Interest grows in the potential of oil being discovered in Arabia. We begin to search for oil, though we struggle. We ask Germany to aid us in our search, offering them preferential trade if found for a five year period. The campaign for military improvement continues. Ibn Saud continues his plans for the North Yemen border, which remains tense. Ibn Saud appoints <Too much swag to name someone> as his public representative, who begins a wave of propaganda to increase Saudi Nationalism. over time, hopes are that this will increase the size of our military.
    • German Diplomacy: German diplomats and geologists are already in the area.
  • The government of Austria is reformed into the Federal State of Austria The Fatherland Front takes the stand in this new nation. An extreme military buildup begins. An army program named "Your Army" or "Ihre Armee" begins. Ihre Armee I where we have local armies kinda like militias in each town. Each one is called for active service for one mouth a year and has weekly drills. Every man from 16 to 35 is required to register. The President is shot and killed by a Communist assassin in a military parade. An extreme crackdown on Communists begins, with many being executed. To revive us from the depression a program called Heil Austria is formed. Heil Austria is a place where the people that are out of work can find work, building tanks, airplanes, roads, and farming. A Habsburg restoration grows in popularity. Otto Von Habsburg enlists in the Austrian army. An alliance is requested of Germany. Eco Turn

Afghanistan joins the League of Nations

The Long March of the Red Army of the Communist Party of China begins.

After Yugoslavia declares bankruptcy, its decision passes among the League of Nation members. The growing economic, political and ethnic issues occurring in Poland,

Yugoslavia and other countries of Central Europe cause a rise in nationalistic feelings which cause a growing sense of Unity and Anti-Semitism in Poland and Germany, but start causing internal strife in Yugoslavia and Romania.

Iran's efforts to support rebel groups in Palestine and India are discovered causing tensions with the British and ultimately cause anti-Iranian feelings amongst Sunni moderates in the Middle East, and amongst Indian nationalists. The Shah gains increased support from the conservative and religious leadership of the country.

Due to the growing violence in the Mandate of Palestine British officials in London try to keep a lid on growing issues, however, and continue to try to foster co-operation between the two communities. Muslims in Palestine start to have split opinions on the growing Jewish population with Palestinian and Arab nationalists advocating the expulsion of the Jewish community while moderates and progressive groups support communication and dialogue with both the British and Jewish communities.

It is a Military turn for NPCs.

  • USSR: Military technology amps up as the first of the new bombers and tanks are tested and are a huge success. The ethnic Russian population in Ukraine continues to increase. Multiple regiments cross into China, fully supporting the Communist cause in their civil war. The military's infantry grows as people from across the union rush to join in. The era is called "The Patriotic Years".
  • Thailand: Thailand continues to build up its military and continues industrialisation. Meanwhile, some new Buddhist temples are built.
  • Brazil: We continue to build up our military and expand our economy. We continue influencing Uruguay and an industrialization and urban development program begins. We ask for trade relations with the USSR, Britain, France and America.
  • Yugoslavia: We start to industrialize each of our cities. Factories are being built in every city. The economy expands in our first year after we declared bankruptcy. We split our money in three ways. One portion of our money goes to Czechoslovakia, one to our military and the other stays put in our safe to use later on. Our nation starts working on a volunteer military until we get our economy up to average again.
  • Bankruptcy means you don't repay anyone. And after bankruptcy, you wouldn't spend any money on military. -Sky
  • After bankruptcy, your nation is weak, and the economy would not grow.
  • Apart from that, your country has many issues which bankruptcy has only worsened. Industrialization without further economic support from an outside power is impossible at this point. With Blood and Iron (talk) 20:33, June 5, 2014 (UTC)
  • Canadian Dip: We advise Yugoslavia to give up their northern farmlands, because they can't use a war at this point of time. We won't participate in a possible war, but we thought we should give our advice.
  • He can, however, attempt to work on a volunteer army until his economy is rebuilt. Nothing wrong about that. SkyGreen24 20:38, June 5, 2014 (UTC)
  • Canada Dip: After a discussion within the Canadian government, Canada is willing to loan Yugoslavia three million Dinar, to help them repay their loans.
  • Czechoslovakia: We move our troops into our allies' lands, Austria and Hungary, and prepare to launch an invasion of Yugoslavia, giving them one last chance to surrender the northern farmlands of their nation before we invade. Planes fly scouting missions over Yugoslavia, reporting generally weak military force, and a lack of cohesion amongst troops. We smuggle Tito and his friends out of Vienna, under the guise of soldiers being on leave, and we prepare to smuggle him back into Yugoslavia. Propaganda leaflets are scattered over Yugoslavian cities, in support of Tito and Czechoslovakia. Czechoslovak Forces launch an assault on Yugoslavia, crossing the border. Czechoslovak planes soar down over the Yugoslavian Army, which is already low on morale. As they see the allied forces coming over the border, much of the army breaks and runs. What began as a war that looked doubtful for Yugoslavia is transformed into a massacre. Those that do not flee are gunned down, and several, with cries of "Tito for President", turn on their comrades. Czechoslovak forces take a few casualties, as the weak Yugoslavian Air Force is devastated trying to defend their forces, but manage to down several Czech Planes, highlighting the need to move on to more powerful, monoplanes, as biplanes are too slow. We take some casualties, and resistance stiffens slightly as we get farther into the country. We continue to move in, but it is slower going (Algorithm: 44.55% over two years), and we expect the war to end in two years.
  • Last turn Hungary asked for a union with Yugoslavia, so I'm guessing they would not be letting you go through their land in the attempt to conquer Yugoslavian soil.
  • Can't attack me since Hungary does not want you to go through their land to get to me.
  • Austria is my ally. And Hungary, given the choice, would probably side with the stronger side.
  • If you go into Hungary's land they could attack you.
  • Doesn't mean I can't prepare for war ... Austria is on my side. Austria borders Yugoslavia.
  • Tibet: With the end of serfdom, many people take the opportunity to enlist tin the military, seeking adventure. This enables the Dalai Lama to recruit 100,000 men both from these groups and the militias, who are given Western-style training (equal to the forces available to Chinese warlords, who controlled less territory and were hated by their subjects, so entirely plausible). The tribal militias are re-organized into a centralized system. Trained sergeants begin drilling these militias. Tibet begins construction of a railway to link the country, but this is expected to take years and will likely require Western investment. Preliminary construction nevertheless begins, providing jobs and improving the economy. The King of Bhutan, under pressure from his Tibetan Buddhist people, will soon bend the knee to the Dalai Lama. If a mod wants to cross this out, give an explanation.
  • Tibetan Dip: We offer an alliance to the Chinese Communist Party. (Mod response needed)
  • Communist Response: The Communist Party refuses the alliance officially on the grounds that they can not support a rebellious part of the Chinese state and much less one that has fallen to the Opiate of the People. However, more pragmatic leaders of the Communist Party and military hint that unofficial co-operation could occur.
  • Canada: We expand our military and infrastructure. We request a trade alliance with the USSR. To stop unemployment, more work camps are built. We try as hard as we can to stop the crisis, but it seems Richard Bennett is failing. Should Palestine need military help, they can ask Canada.
  • You're making labor camps?
  • No. In OTL Richard Bennett actually established these camps for unemployed men.
  • Romania: We improve our army and improve the living conditions in Romania. We ask if we could have a trade alliance/military alliance with Nazi Germany and Bulgaria. (Mods need to decide for Bulgaria).
    • Iranian Dip: We offer cheap petrol prices to the government of Romania.
  • Liechtenstein: Improves economy and builds infrastructure. Asks for trade with Austria.
  • Iran: The Shah's plans of Westernization continue the infrastructure and living conditions in the nation greatly increase. The Shah also gives special autonomy to Ardebil and East and West Azerbaijan. The military continues to be improved upon as well and a few more tanks join the ranks; heavy funding also begins to go into researching practical military and civilian Zeppelins. Funding to the Palestinian extremists is cut by 30% but Indian separatists continue to receive steady funding. The USA, Portugal and Yugoslavia extremely cheap oil prices. Secret plans for the eventual invasion of Afghanistan are devised.
    • Why Portugal and Yugoslavia of all nations?
    • That's for me to know and for you to find out.
  • Estonia: Estonia improves on their infrastructure and military with the country in a stable position. The country also has plans for the economy to grow, with hopefully a trade with Romania.
  • Iceland: We begin building two small airstrips, one outside Reykjavík, and the other on the east coast. The Coast Guard forms the Eastern Fleet and the Western Fleet. 100 men begin training with two Vickers six-ton tanks, 80 M1917 Enfield's, 100 M1911's, and four M2 Browning machine guns. 50 are stationed in eastern Iceland with 50 men, one tank and two machine guns, and the rest are stationed in Reykjavík. They are named the Iceland Defense Forces. It is made up of the Ground Forces, and the Coast Guard. Military turn.
(Turn Two of Four) The military contracts Boeing with the construction of a new heavy bomber and new engines are considered for this. A man in the company privately looks into jet engine research and makes some minor headway. The US begins to put more people to work in factories and other areas in an attempt to fix the economy further. US research into more modern tanks begins remembering their effectiveness under Patton in the First World War. The US accepts both diplomatic proposals from last turn.
    • Liechtenstein Dip: Asks for trade.
  • Colombia: The trading with Mexico and Iran continues and the influencing of Venezuela continues and the establishing of better relations with the Peruvian government. Military, navy, economy and infrastructure continues building up.
  • Norway: We started build up our military.
  • Portugal: The Portuguese government was delighted by the offer proposed by the Iranian government to offer cheaper oil to Portugal, despite the fact that Portugal had always had 'normal' relations with Iran. Nevertheless, the government took this as a sign that Iran wanted to establish a better relationship with Portugal and thus the government, shifted its foreign policy regarding Iran toward a pro-Iran one. Meanwhile in Europe, Czechoslovakia's attitude toward Yugoslavia was disliked by Portugal who believed that Europe did not need any war and adopting a peaceful policy was the only way for European nations to succeed. Nevertheless, despite what Salazar had said, the Portuguese Foreign Minister had gone as far as threatening to reduce Prague to ash if it invaded Yugoslavia and 'Jewry Controls Prague' were the headlines of Portugal's famous newspaper. The Foreign Minister had been quickly dismissed, and Salazar offered to apologize but Portugal's stance toward Czechoslovakia was the same which was that Portugal would not approve of an invasion of Yugoslavia despite the fact that the nation was bankrupt, corrupt, a center for drug smuggling and near to collapse. Meanwhile, the military was developed with the construction of two cruisers and infrastructure was developed to attract tourists to Lisbon. [Eco Turn] [Infra Turn]
      • Portuguese Angola: The nation famously known as the breadbasket of southern Africa provided southern African nations with bananas, sisal and coffee. The extraction of oil and mining of diamond continued on large scale and thus, the economy was developed. The military had frequent border patrols and a large military exercise was conducted during March. [Eco Turn]
      • Portuguese Cape Verde: With the island barely having any resources or enough wheat surplus on feed its population, the Portuguese government instead plans to construct ports on the islands to develop it as a major economic and tourism center. The port is generally believed to be utilized for exporting materials from Senegal and Gambia by the British and French authorities. [Infra Turn]
      • Portuguese Mozambique: 100,000 metric tons of Alumina was extracted every year which was then exported to numerous neighboring countries. Unlike his predecessors, Salazar ordered the Poruguese to conduct a geological survey in Mozambique to discover whether the nation possessed more resources. [Eco Turn]
      • Portuguese Guinea Bissau: Mostly underdeveloped, the Portuguese government instead of developing the nation work on exporting cashew nuts, ground nuts, timber, etc, which are the nation's major exports. The people are generally angered by the government's ignorance toward developing the state and protest against the government's policies during February. [Eco Turn]
      • Portuguese São Tomé and Príncipe: With the island barely having any resources or enough wheat surplus on feed its population, the Portuguese government instead plan on constructing ports on the islands to develop it as a major economic and tourism center. The port is generally believed to be utilized for exporting materials from French Cameroon, French Gabon and Spanish Equatorial Guinea. [Infra Turn]
      • Portuguese East Timor: The spices produced on the island are quite famous in Portugal and are generally brought back to Portugal for the people to utilize. Oil extracted from the Timor Sea is converted to petroleum which is then exported to Australia. Coffee beans, another major export are produced in large amounts, and converted to coffee for the Portuguese public to utilize. Salazar promises the people of Timor that he will work on developing the nations infrastructure and reduce rural settlements. [Eco Turn]
      • Portuguese Azores and Madeira Islands: Major ports are constructed on the islands considering their strategic locations which allows them to control all ships entering the Mediterranean Sea from the North Sea or vice versa. Tourism is expanded upon and it is generally believed that as many as 13,000 tourists would visit the island this year. [Eco Turn]
      • OOC: Considering the fact that Thailand, Brazil, Canada, Estonia and US have developed more than either both their economy and military or military and infrastructure. I came to the conclusion that moderators have therefore allowed us to develop two of those three instead of one.
    • Portugal really would not care about what was happening in Czechoslovakia.
  • Bulgaria: A coup is devised and executed by Bulgarian generals, and the presidential government is replaced by a dictatorship. The new Fascist leaning government is led by Kimon Georgiev. All political parties are banned except for the "Zveno" party supported by almost every Bulgarian general. Backed by the military Chancellor Georgiev removes Tsar Boris III from power and is executed and the remaining heirs are imprisoned. Georgiev is crowned and becomes "Tsar Kimon I". Still affected by the great depression, the Tsar first enacts a co-operative economic system based much like one followed by Italy. Bulgaria focuses its budget on revitalization of infrastructure, repairing and improving roads, railways and canals.
    • Bulgaria Dip: Bulgaria proposes a trade agreement with Italy, Germany and Czechoslovakia.
  • Ethiopia: Using the foreign investment from abroad, the Ethiopian government puts the money toward expanding its infrastructure by building new roads, railways and dams to power the nation. Construction of a dam on the Blue Nile, on the nation's northern border. Construction on a power grid for the country is underway, with plans to expand the one in Addis Ababa also underway. The building of a military complex outside of Bahir Dar continues, with the production of khaki uniforms already underway in the facility. 12,500 uniforms have already been made by the complex, and have been given to the first division of Ethiopian soldiers fully trained in Western combat. New rifles are under production outside of the capital to equip the Ethiopian Army of the Left. With difficulties with the neighboring Sudani tribes raiding parts of the Gojjam Province, where the dam construction is underway, the Army of the Left has been stationed in the region to project the land from the raiders. Production of another 20,000 uniforms for the Army of the Center are currently underway as well. The first 500 students of the University of Addis Ababa have been admitted into the institution. These pupils will learn all there is to know about modern engineering, physics, agriculture, and politics, will serve as the first batch of future leaders and economists who will guide the nation into industrialization and modernization. With the military, economy and infrastructure enhanced by the government, plans for the next year's actions are being drawn up by the government officials.
  • Tibetan Dip: The Dalai Lama requests a trade agreement with Ethiopia.
  • Poland: A Communist Party begins in Krakow. It gains a strong following in Poland, and publicly crictises the government.

Spar, I recommend letting the tensions rise before you do something like that, as a half year ain't enough.

Fine...............

• Romania: We accept the trade alliance with Estonia. We ask if we could have a trade alliance/ military alliance with Nazi Germany, Bulgaria, the Soviet Union, and Italy.
    • Bulgaria Dip: We sincerely decline.
  • Turkey: The Saudi offer from last year is accepted. The economy is developed in the effort to make Turkey self-sufficient. An offer is made to Saudi Arabia in which a portion of the oil search will be funded by the Turkish government in exchange for 10% of the oil found. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk supports the creation of new political parties, such as the Social Democratic Worker's Party, the Justice party and the Development party.
  • France: The President agrees to the Haganah meeting. Meanwhile, we observe the volatile situation in east Europe with interest. We continue 'Le plan de Napoléon'. Due to this plan, the Renault R35 is designed, and is quickly ordered to replace the Renault FTs. The Somua S35, is also designed and produced. The Hotchkiss H35 is also designed and produced. Production of the Char B1 continues. In aircraft, the Amiot 143 is designed and produced, along with the Bloch MB.210, both bombers. Increased production is ordered of the Besson MB.411, Blériot-SPAD S.510, Bloch MB.81, Bloch MB.131, and many other planes. Increased production of rifles, handguns, sub-machine guns, machine guns, anti-tank weapons, anti-aircraft weapons, artillery, grenades, mines, and mortars are all ordered. We ask Germany for a non-aggression pact. We begin constructing more factories in our cities, hoping to increase production of everything. Colonel Charles de Gaulle is given command of the new 4e Division Cuirassée. This is due to his theories and tactics that have not been seen before in the French Army, regarding tank warfare. President Doumergue calls it, "The rebirth of the French military."
  • In the Republic of China, nationalist leader Chiang Kai-Shek is confident that the Communists, under Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai, are being pushed far enough back to the north and west that they can be successfully contained. The Republican forces, at 200,000 men, begin to relax conscription, dropping to only 150,000, which Kai-Shek is sure will be able to hold off the 90,000 demoralized Communist troops. Meanwhile, the arrival of greater Soviet support, including aerial assistance, prevents any major battles from wiping out the Communist forces. The arrival of the Soviet planes and dropping of propaganda does encourage downtrodden farmers to join the Communist resistance.
  • Saudi Arabia: Military is improved. Turkey's diplomicy is considered, and we are willing to negotiate a deal about it. Propaganda continues. disputes with North Yemen continues.
  • Mexico: The members of Congress killed in the Night of the Endless Wind are replaced with more socialist-leaning politicians to spite the US and to further the agenda of the new President of Mexico. The nation works on integrating the policies enacted by Treviño. Extermination of Catholicism continues. Mexico heavily expands its military this year at the urging of former-president Calles. In the meantime, Mexico brings itself closer to Guatemala. Revolutionaries from Mexico enter El Salvador to launch a revolution to bring the Central American nation into its sphere of influence. Revolutionaries are also sent to Cuba, but in fewer numbers.

1935

The drought in the US worsens, in what is known as the "Dust Bowl".

The Chaco War between Paraguay and Bolivia ends.

7.1 magnitude earthquake in Balochistan, British Raj.

With Soviet Aid the Communist forces reverse the long march, beginning to push them back to Jiangxi.

The Saar votes on its potential future in a plebiscite. Most of the population votes for union with Germany.

  • USSR: Moscow Metro opens to public. Prototypes of the new bomber is successful and the plane begins mass production in factories. Ukraine, especially Eastern Ukraine, continues its ethnic Russian growth. Economy is worked on with trade throughout its borders continues. 100,00 men are sent across the Chinese border to aid the Communist rebels, bringing USSR forces there to approximately 140,000. The Jewish population begins to decline as many move to Palestine.
  • Thailand: Thailand continues to build up its military and continues industrialisation. Meanwhile, some new Buddhist temples are built.
  • Czechoslovakia: Tito runs for president, gaining much of the vote. He is inaugurated in May. Tito turns Czechoslovakia into a Communist nation, which draws the ethnic groups closer. He also runs in Yugoslavia and the area we hold elects him leader. We drop pamphlets into Croatia, inciting rebellion against the remnants of the government, whilst the war continues, we push farther into Yugoslavia. We continue to research monoplanes and create a prototype. We also work on our tanks, creating faster, stronger tanks, after a few were destroyed in Yugoslavia. We also work on making them harder to immobilise. We work on issues of comfort and inaccuracy, and also weakness of armour and armament. All these issues will be dealt with shortly. We work on these issues and hope to have addressed them shortly.
    • Bulgaria Secret Diplomacy: In the event of a Czechoslovakia victory over Yugoslavia. Bulgaria asks for the southern half of serbia as it holds strong ties to Bulgaria. If need be, Bulgaria can aid you in the war as long as Bulgaria gains all land south of the town "Nis". In the event of a two front war Yugoslavia stands no chance, and the quicker this war is over the less Czech lives will be lost. We believe that an alliance between our two countries is very wise and will lead to success for the both of us.
  • Tibet: The Dalai Lama proclaims the revival of Tibet as an independent state. “As I return from death, so shall Tibet return from prostration beneath the boot of foreign powers.” The military is expanded from 100,000 to 150,000 men, mainly former serfs now intensely loyal to the government that has delivered them from bondage. (Again, Chinese warlords with insecure territorial bases and hated by their subjects could muster forces this size and larger, so this is plausible.) The railway begins construction, with track beginning to be laid. Primitive factories are built in Lhasa to construct military materiel. Influence in Bhutan grows, with the threat of a religious revolution among the peasantry convincing the king to acknowledge the ascendency of the Dalai Lama.
    • Bhutan: The King of Bhutan recognizes the power of Tibet and manages to placate the peasantry by acknowledging the Dalai Lama as both his religious and temporal ruler (The culmination of centuries-old Tibetan power in Bhutan, very plausible). Seeking to regain his power, he discusses the formation of a Himalayan Confederation with the Tibetans, an ice they consider excellent. The military is expanded to 25,000, with some retired Gurkhas used to train the troops.
    • This is your final warning, Tibet. Stop. Try to make a ridiculous army again, and you are kicked.
    • Prove it's ridiculous. So far you've offered only your opinion, which, interesting as it is, is hardly valid. Chinese warlords with no territorial base, disloyal subjects and constant, chaotic warfare raised armies of 200,000 on short notice. I have a secure territorial base, loyal subjects and a stable state. If you want to be a mod, try to declare things implausible based on facts and not opinions. With Blood and Iron (talk) 20:53, June 6, 2014 (UTC)
    • I can't confirm on the military forces but your vassalizing Bhutan is not possible as they are a British protectorate basically, not to mention Tibet is to an extent as well. With Blood and Iron (talk) 20:53, June 6, 2014 (UTC)
    • Britain did have a degree of influence in Tibet, but the distances were too great for much. Sadly my attempts to establish diplomatic relations with British India were crossed out last turn, so I assumed mods found British-Tibetan interaction implausible. I see you're right about Bhutan. Thanks for explaining yourself; it helps. But about the military ... Tibet has a longtime militia system and is at a level of advancement rougly equal to rural China right now. Even feudal African countries were able to raise armies of 100-120,000 on short notice, like in the First Italo-Ethiopian War . TIbet is more modern, more organized and better able to supply a large army than 19th century Ethiopia, yet can't raise an army of 100,000 during a period of peace using a pre-existing militia system? Ridiculous. Krasnoyarsk (talk) 20:58, June 6, 2014 (UTC)
    • I didn't cross out the turn. I'm merely commenting. I'll take a look at the levy system in Tibet. However, it'll take you a while to centralize your state. That's all I can say. OTL Tibet took years to do it under progressive leaders and failed for the most part due to the fact that they fell before they could finish the process. With Blood and Iron (talk) 21:04, June 6, 2014 (UTC)
    • 'See here for a period account of Tibet's militia system, describing how it could be called up on the moment.' One doesn't need a centralized state to have an army of 100-150,000, either. As I said, warlords and feudal Ethiopia were able to do it, and both are less of centralized states than Tibet. Please uncross.
    • I totally back Tibet on this. Kurt Cobain's Haircut (talk) 23:07, June 6, 2014 (UTC)
    • Could a mod please uncross this, unless the original crosser sees fit to defend his actions with facts that disprove or supersede my points above?Krasnoyarsk (talk) 00:16, June 7, 2014 (UTC)
    • Standing Army =/= to temporary militia. I'm with the mod. Feeding and clothing a standing army over 50,000-70,000 is completely out of your league. Tibet may be able to field a temporary force for a small amount of time equalling 100,000 but a standing army? That's beyond your current logistics. -Feud
    • As I said, Chinese warlords - who literally had to take all their food from unwilling peasants - were able to sustain forces of 200,000 for long periods of time. Menelik, the Emperor of Ethiopia, was able to supply a standing army of 100,000 after a famine in 19th century Africa. Tibet has capabilities easily equal to an individual Chinese warlord, and so should be able to raise an army of said size easily. The militia system only means that there is a pre-existing system in place to supply troops, making it even easier to sustain a standing army.
    • Even countries the size of Bolivia and Paraguay could maintain standing armies of 100,000 easily. Bolivia is an illustrative example, since it's an alpine, landlocked nation, just like Tibet. Tibet, though, has a transport system dating back thousands of years, while Bolivia has no such thing. And it sustained and supplied 250,000 men in the middle of one of South America's driest areas, at about this time. So I don't think an army of two-thirds of that, built on a pre-existing supply system and road system,  is unreasonable for Tibet. Please uncross.
    • It's completely unreasonable. If you actually knew about the war, you'd know that Paraguay essentially fought a guerrilla war and the Bolivians never mobilized more than 60,000 men at any given point in the Chaco region. Bolivia had a logistical nightmare dealing with that war and couldn't field its full force in the region for this specific war. The Tibetans are nowhere near a militarized society, would have no want for a large military, and regardless of a pre-existing supply system still wouldn't be able to afford or supply armed forces of over 60-70,000. The Tibetan region - regardless of the supply system - just couldn't afford it whatsoever. Having an army of 150,000 essentially puts you at a ridiculous economic disadvantage which wouldn't be tolerable.
  • South Africa: George Villiers uses some of the government's money to build a railroad throughout the whole country. We increase our military and navy. Port cities are increasingly able to fit more ships into our harbors. Our factories make prototype tanks and aircraft for the military. We try to become more modern - like Europe. We use European building designs to build our buildings.
  • British Empire: As the threat of Germany and Italy grow in Europe and Japanese aggression threatens British interests in the Orient, British military leaders in both the navy and army begin developing plans for containment and defence of the extensive - and at this point overstretched - British Empire. Military development continues as one of the ways to improve the growing labor issues back home. Industrialization continues in colonies of greater importance, while the vast resources are exploited both locally and back in the isles. A friendly hand is offered to any state opposing the growing threats of the extremist right governments on the continent and that posed by the Red Bear in the east. British representatives in the U.S.A. look to strengthen ties with their American friends and trading partners. Efforts to improve the current tank, planes and ships of the navy. Naval expansion also occurs mainly with new aircraft carriers and subs being commissioned along with three heavily armored battleships being proposed and put to the drawing board. New weapon designs are toyed with. The British reaffirm their alliance with France though they are ambiguous in the amount of support they would give the French in case a war on the continent breaks out. Efforts to ease tensions with the Germans are also begun. This, however, sits bad with Churchill and other outspoken anti-Germans, and anti-Communists. The increasing plight of the Jewish population in Europe is taken into consideration along with the requests from Haganah. Ultimately, the British government does not give any comment on how they will handle the issue but they promise they will protect the rights of Jews within the British sphere and will also keep their promises to the Arab population. This causes tensions with both groups and more troops are sent to the Mandate. The British offer to begin talks with the Indian moderates to discuss they fate of the sub-continent. All dominions are called to send representatives to London to discuss the future of the British Empire and to discuss the possibility of granting further liberties to the White dominions. British offer the nationalists funding and training to combat the Communists. Interested in the prospects of oil in the Chaco region British support Paraguay in the war.
    • Mandate of Palestine: Authorities receive the new re-inforcements from the homeland and thank London for the reinforcements. However, internal strife in the colony continues to grow as the Jewish population from the Soviet Union starts trickling into the Mandate which causes the extremists to increase their violence, and the Jewish paramilitary groups ot increase their activities. Small scale industrialization also continues in the settlements. While not officially aligned the British and Haganah continue co-operating  to keep order and British authorities begin supplying weapons to the organization. The special night squad under Captain Windgate is formed (OTL predecessor to both S.A.S. and to Mossad) to help keep the colony under control.
  • Tibetan Dip: A non-aggression pact is requested with Britain.
      • Iceland Dip: We request to purchase two Hunt-class minesweepers.
      • Rit Dip: The British agree.
  • Iran: The sumac and oil companies are nationalized by orders of the Shah. Funding to Indian separatists increase and also begin funding separatists in China's Xinjiang province and in French and Italian Horn of Africa. New tanks are made and further research goes into practical Zeppelin use. We begin to expand out navy significantly, and begin the construction of two destroyers, with plans of another destroyer being completed by 1936. Tanks continue to be produced and a primitive air force is created. The military begins to be mobilized as plans for an assault begin to be carried out.
    • British Dip: Infuriated at the Irani nationalization of British oil companies and their growing aggressiveness, Britain demands that they be returned to British control and that Iran allow British troops to be stationed on Persian soil to protect British interests. Threatened a blockade and embargo if the Irani government does not seize their actions. Local troops in the Mandate of Mesopotamia and Palestine are raised.
    • Iranian Dip: We'll agree to a temporary base near Hormuz for the next two years.
    • Brit Dip: And the return of all oil shares taking by the government.
    • Iranian Dip: Very well.
  • Liechtenstein: We build a new industrial area to increase industrial production. Economy is improved, and we continue trading. We thank Germany again for trading with us and giving us military protection.
The US also in order to provide more jobs and some raw materials opens up various ore, oil, lumber, and other resource projects to be worked on to facilitate a semi-self sufficient recovery. The US begins to influence more pro-US elements in Mexico and warns the Mexicans that the socialist policies will not be tolerated here. FDR continues to bring Cuba into the US economic sphere (Vassalization process starting Turn One of Three) The US begins to put more people to work in factories and other areas in an attempt to fix the economy further. US research into more modern tanks begins remembering their effectiveness under Patton in the First World War. FDR implements multiple programs in an effort to stabilize the economy, and begins to implement topsoil conservation acts and even builds windbreaks and plants, a square of hedges and trees as natural windbreaks and topsoil holders to prevent more massive runoff. The US continues a moderate expansion of the fleet using the new factory and military jobs to start a whole string of supply and demand running from resource extractors, to manufacturers to the assemblers hastening the US economic recovery. Agriculture for the time being is semi-moved to other areas to prevent more topsoil issues, and allow for farming to take place in other available states. The US secretly sends aid to the Nationalist Chinese including prototype designs of some of the New American tanks, with all distinguishing marks tieing them to America removed. The US begins to switch to animals and hay in the affected Dust Bowl areas to lessen or improve various affected areas, The government provides moderate loans to farmers in this regard under a government loans project. The US sends two battleships and some attendant fleets. The USS Texas, and USS New York are sent and some 5000 US troops are sent to monitor the situation from spiraling completely out of control.
    • Brazilian Diplomacy: We ask for trade relations with America.
    • US Dip: We accept.
    • Haganah Secret Diplomacy: Under the orders of David Ben-Gurion representatives of Haganah request a meeting with Roosevelt and the American Congress to discuss the possibility of securing American morale support for the Jewish plight and the Zionist cause for a Jewish Homeland.
  • Brazil: We continue to build up our military and expand our economy. We continue influencing Uruguay. We continue our industrialization and urban development program.
    • US Dip: The US advises Brazil to refrain from any annexations on the continent as the US does guarantee the independence of all nations on the continent.
  • VZ: Military improves alliance with France and Great Britain is asked.
  • República de Argentina: Argentina begins to influence Paraguay (Turn One of Three) The National Assembly passes several acts called the Las Actas de Modernización de 1935, in these acts school systems are nationalized to provide public education. Desiring to become a modern nation, several public works are announced in several cities including Buenos Aires. Some of the works includes construction on metro lines in the city as well as better roads. These works are slated to put many unemployed to work and take most of the decade to complete. People clamour for open elections despite the public works announcements. many people are not pleased with the direction of the country under military leadership. Juan Alfrez is appointed as Minister of Internal Affairs. Juan is a unique choice, as he is an outspoken critic of the coup and is considered a moderate and a supporter of democracy. The military establishment does not trust him but cannot risk removing him due to his popularity with the public, which has grown increasingly restless as of late. Argentina looks to Uruguay, seeing at as a territory of Argentina, declares war and invades the nation in an effort to bring it under Argentine rule. The military orders a modernization campaign in conjunction with the war and reaches out to the United States to purchase arms, munitions, tanks etc. for the military.
    • US Dip: The US agrees to this on the condition democracy be returned to Argentina.
    • Colombia Dip: We ask for an alliance with Argentina.
    • Argentine Dip: We accept the offer of alliance from Columbia.
    • Secret communication from the Ministry of Internal Affairs Minister Alfrez will work to restore democracy, though it must remain covert for now.
  • Saudi Arabia: Military build up continues, with development this year including a naval research/development program. The search for oil continues. The propaganda program continues, increasing Saudi nationalism. A wave of industrialization begins in Saudi Arabia. Ibn Saud, Prince Saud, and the royal military advisers, seeing Iran as an increasing hostile nation, prepare for the idea of war with the nation IN SECRET.
    • Iranian Dip: We offer a ten-year non-aggression pact.
  • Iceland: We install five radar stations around our nation. Each is supported by 15 civilians. Our Coast Guard looks to purchase a mine hunter, and begins training exercises. We begin to build an ammunition factory, and small arms facility. The Coast Guard looks into building a small shipyard. A new power plant is completed and exploration for copper begins. Economy turn.
  • Bulgaria: With the new government fully in place. The Tsar begins funding in military rearmament and military research programs, and as most of the government is run by experienced generals, discipline and organization is in top order. The Tsar also enacts a four-year plan of recruitment to protect Bulgaria from a repeat of The Second Balkan War (Current standing army is estimated at 150,000). Anti-semitism is a growing ideology and people begin to blame the loss of the Second Balkan War and the great depression on the Jews. The Tsar continually instills National Socialist Ideas as nationalism propaganda becomes commonly seen on every corner of every city. The economy is beginning a slight stabilization and the unemployment rate is dropping as Bulgaria is in the most peace in almost 20 years.
    • Romanian Diplomacy: Romania asks Nazi Germany and Italy for a trade/military alliance. We improve our navy and army. We make a deal with Bulgaria, saying if they have a trade/military alliance with us, we'll lower the price of imports they make with us by 45%. We send a large supply of fish and wheat to Estonia.
    • Iranian Dip: We offer Bulgaria a trade deal.
    • It would be appreciated of you write all this underneath your nation, not someone else's ... I had to fix it for you. RexImperio (talk) 14:07, June 7, 2014 (UTC)
  • Colombia: The government begins a new perspective. Instead of focusing toward agriculture it begins seeking for a heavy upgrade process to bring Colombia into an industrial level. However, the first cities to start this policy are only Bogota and Medellin being the main centres of population. While this, trade in Cucuta and Paraguachon grows heavily as the government seeks to generate a lot of growth in trade with Venezuela, trying to bring the countries closer together by the use of such. The first project for an oil refinery takes place in Bogota, shipping the oil from Casanare. However, the refinery itself is said to take five years to be built and the project is barely starting. While this, the government begins making treaties between Liberals and Conservatives to avoid the power conflict between both. Military, navy, economy and infrastructure continue to be built upon. The government talks with Peru continue as well, focused in healing the relations between both nations. While this, the British are asked to "teach" the Colombian navy how to develop a destroyer or battlecruiser as well as to train our troops. Argentina is asked for an alliance.
  • Ethiopia: The government announces that it is one year away from completing some of the dams it began construction on about a year before. Plans to construct a number of new housing blocks across the country to urbanize the population begin, starting in Bahir Dar and Aksum, where the major industries are located. Another 13,000 military uniforms are produced by the clothing factories of the nation, and the Army of the Center is given the uniforms as part of the modernization program of the country. New rifle designs drawn up entirely in Ethiopia at the recently constructed Gafat Armament Engineering Complex, has been adopted as the new standard combat rifle of the Imperial Army. These new Gafat rifles as they are called by the military, are purchased in large quantities to fill the need for a new, modern rifle for the troops. To that end, 100,000 rifles are ordered, and the first 15,000 are expected to be delievered to the Imperial Guard by the end of the year. Railway construction continues, with the cities of Addis Ababa, Debre Markos, and Bahir Dir linked together by the first railroad built in the country since the 1890s. Plans to extend that rail to the city of Gondar are underway, while the cities of Aksum, Adwa, and Adigat are currently being linked together by a wide-gauge railroad. The rail in Gondar will link up with the one in Aksum, and the rail ending in Adigat will be expanded south to the city of Mek'ele, where it shall continue on south to the capital within the next five years. The military, economy, and infrastructure of Ethiopia are thus expanded in the process. The University of Addis Ababa admits an additional 600 students into its halls, expanding the total number of students at the university to 1100 total. Plans for a full university of 6500 by 1942 are being devised, as the imperial government seeks out the best and brightest of its subjects to take on the role of Ethiopia's future leaders.
  • France: We continue producing all the new vehicles we've designed, and continue to recruit men into the army. Generals are beginning to be replaced with ones that favor mobile warfare or are being re-trained to think this way. Work on making the Maginot Line stronger continues. Fortifications are built along the Moselle, Meuse, Seine, and Saône rivers. The French Army begins to receive the new vehicles, and new equipment. The armies begin to move to the new fortifications along the eastern border. We ask Germany for a non-aggression Pact, and the USSR for an alliance.
  • Norway: We suggest that all of the Scandinavian Nordic countries make a joint alliance in case of war. Then northern countries would work together, and will not be thrown down so easily. In addition, we develop our infrastructure, if it is possible.
Meanwhile, the military was developed with the construction of two cruisers and infrastructure was developed to attract tourists to Lisbon. With the recent military build up in Europe, Salazar made sure that Portugal was not left behind. Two cruisers recently built by Portugal had ten four-inch (ten cm) high-angle guns with appropriate fire-control equipment attached to it to provide larger warships with protection against high-altitude bombers. A meeting was held as to whether or not construct more heavy cruisers to defend the coastline from any invasion. The Portuguese military was well equipped with modern weaponry but the tanks were heavily outdated, thus a request was sent to France for the purchase of their tanks. The Spanish-Portuguese border had many mines placed near it in case the Spaniards ever attempted to conquer what was supposedly, once part of 'Hispania'. [Eco Turn] [Mil Turn]
[Eco Turn]
    • Portuguese Mozambique: 100,000 metric tons of Alumina was extracted annually which was then exported to numerous neighboring countries. Unlike his predecessors, Salazar ordered the Portuguese to conduct a geological survey in Mozambique to discover whether the nation possessed more resources.
[Eco Turn]
[Eco Turn]
    • Portuguese Macau: A major tourism hub utilised by the Chinese, trying their best to escape the miseries they face from the government. The infrastructure is highly developed and many casinos have been built through Macau. Salazar is still deciding with his generals as to whether or not deploy battleships to protect Macau. [Infra Turn]
    • Portuguese Solor: The territory is mainly utilized by Dutch merchants who attempt to enter the Timor Sea to get to Australia from OTL Sulawesi or vice versa for Australia, the port is widely used and thus allowed the Portuguese to further develop it by constructing more houses, as well as roads. A permanent militia of 10,000 men are deployed at the island. [Infra Turn]
    • Portuguese Goa: The territory of Goa was highly developed and utilised by the Portuguese as tourism as well as economic centre. Salazar was quite keen on deploying the Portuguese navy at the Indian Ocean and did so, after consulting his generals. Meanwhile, tourism and its usage as a major port; strengthened Goa's economy. [Eco Turn]
    • Portuguese Daman: Mainly utilised as a tourist hub, a lot of work is done on developing Daman's infrastructure. It is generally believed as many as 10,000 tourists would visit Daman in March. Spices produced are exported to Portugal. [Infra Turn]
[Eco Turn]
  • Germany: Hugenburg continues to solidify power around himself while at the same time expanding the armed forces in secret. Research into new tanks and planes continues. Germany is pleased by the result of the Saar referendum, and tells France that if France allows the Saar to reunite with Germany, Germany will accept the NAP with France. Despite this, Germany fully intends to honor the result of the plebiscite, and sends officials to the Saar to help them rejoin the nation. Following Hitler's death and the death of Hindenburg later that year, Hugenburg has been able to solidify his control of the country, combining the roles of President and Chancellor together under his control. Despite this, a noticeable rift emerges in the DNVP party that Hugenburg leads. Many in the DNVP still want a return of monarchism, even though Hugenburg himself is opposed to such a notion. Unable to completely trust the Nazi party yet unwilling to afford the loss of the DNVP, many think that a compromise will be in order, or the military will end the rivalry and take control. The offer of the Romanians is accepted and Germany expects a profitable relationship with the Romanian people.

No offense, but I think that Heinrich Himmler should be the current Führer, as it is often agreed he would lead Germany in the event of Hitler's death. Spartian300 (talk) 19:50, June 7, 2014 (UTC)

Hindenburg decided and Himmler wasn't really a big force in the Nazi party at this time, I believe. "This is not your grave but you are welcome in it." 21:16, June 7, 2014 (UTC)

  • Austria: Economy grows, Habsburgs rise in popularity. Austro-Catholic nationalism rises.
  • Finland: We ask for a military alliance with Norway.
  • Poland: The Communist Party continues to stir up pro-Communism, and gains support across the country. They promise to defend Poland from Germany and many feel that there should an increase in defense of Polish nation.
  • In the Republic of China, nationalist leader Chiang Kai-Shek continues to be pushed farther and farther back. Now, Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai begin to plan a large attack near Nanchang. The skeleton Republican army seeks greater re-inforcement, but none comes. As more and more Soviets pour in to aid the Communists, Kai-Shek begins to consider his options. Northern China is under Communist control, and many eagerly join the army with promises of a golden future. Propaganda and bombs, both dropped by Soviet aerial missions begin to turn the public opinion of almost all Chinese against Kai-Shek and toward Mao. Using Soviet funds and money from other sources, Mao begins construction of factories in the northern parts of the nation to create a modern navy and air force.
  • Mexico: Anger grows toward the United States over their continued attempts at intervening in Mexican affairs. Mexico increases its military and economy as it works on influencing Guatemala (Vassalization Turn One of Three). Mexican revolutionaries act in El Salvador, sparking uprisings in the Central American state. More revolutionaries in Cuba act, working to counteract the American attempts. The phrase, "Cuba por los Cubanos" becomes popular against anti-Americans in Cuba. The navy of Mexico is increased as Mexico, wary of American aggression, works to increase its navy for defensive measures. The ground forces in Mexico, however, are also expanded.

The "Labor Day" hurricane, one of the strongest hurricanes to make landfall in the US, hits the coast and over 400 lives are directly lost to the cyclone. The damage is estimated to be over six million dollars USD.

The loss of almost half their country causes the Yugoslavian government to collapse. The Czechoslovaks annex the nation, and the King is killed in the chaos following the Czechoslovak forces securing Belgrade.

  • Thailand: Thailand continues to build up its military and continues industrialisation. Meanwhile, some new Buddhist temples are built.
  • Czechoslovakia: We annex Yugoslavia, following the government collapse, and Tito is elected President of the Czechoslovak-Yugoslavian State. We keep our forces in Yugoslavia, mopping up the remains of the Yugoslavian Military for much of the year. Monoplane production begins in earnest. Our tanks continue to be improved, but this year, we focus on repairing the road network of Yugoslavia, shattered by war, and the road network of Czechoslovakia, which lay in disrepair anyway. We send construction teams into Yugoslavia, and they work to complete the partially built factories in many cities. This leads to more jobs for Yugoslavians, but mostly there is emigration to areas with more work, finally breaking up the Ethnic divisions in Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia, as the ethnicities all slowly merge, until by the end of year, many people, between the ages of 15 and 25, view themselves as "Slavic" first, and Croatian, Czech, Slovak, Bosnian or Serb merely as an after thought. Tito encourages this, and it begins to spread throughout the population, albeit slowly.
    • Yeah ... not that fast.
    • In one small age group, which is generally the first to accept these changes? I really don't see why not ... ~Local
  • South Africa: George Villiers uses more of the government's money to build railways throughout the whole country. We increase our military and navy. Port cities are increasingly able to fit more ships into our harbors. Our factories mass produce tanks and aircraft for the military. We try to become more modern - like Europe. We use European building designs to build our buildings. In secret we ask Germany and the USSR to help us get rid of the British control in our nation. We ask England to fund us more money for our military and navy.
    • Iranian Secret Dip: We may not be Germany or the USSR, but we'll help the Afrikaner people throw off the chains of their British oppressors.
  • Brazil: We continue to build up our military and expand our economy. We continue our industrialization and urban development program. We decide to join the Argentinean-Uruguayan War on Uruguay's side to protect their sovereignty and requests high-grade military equipment from Germany and the USSR. We also requests that the US and other nations stay out of the war.
    • US Dip: As a result of Brazilian negligence the US declares a police action on Brazil and using its fleet sent last turn invades Rio De Janeiro to preserve peace and demands that Argentina in regards to this leave Uruguay relatively autonomous.
  • Iran: After the British demands was met with many accusations of weakness, but the Shah defends himself by saying that the consequences of not answering the demands would be far worse. Standards are raised for all SAVAK (Iranian secret service under the Shahs) agents whose wages and training are amplified. Funding to Indian separatists remains constant, while funding to separatists all over the Horn of Africa increases and also suspends funding to Palestinian extremists until further notice. Five tanks are made and put into service and further research goes into practical Zeppelin use, which begins to show some fruits as a Zeppelin bomber is devised  and Zeppelins begin to be used in long-distance small-scale transport. To help improve the nation's infrastructure a program to get a functioning metro in every city with over 300,000 people is put in place - on top of the Trans-Iranian railway which is soon to be finished. Troops begin to mass along the Iranian-Afghani border with the Shah himself in command. Funds begin to be sent to some tribal leaders in Afghanistan, promising them a more lucarative existence under Iran. A letter is sent to the British Empire saying that the Shah hopes this wouldn't complicate relations further.
    • South African Dip: That would be good if you help us but wait until WW2 starts, OK?
    • Saudi Dip: The NAP from last turn is accepted.
FDR continues to bring Cuba into the US economic sphere (Vassalization process starting Turn Two of Three) The US begins to put more people to work in factories and other areas in an attempt to fix the economy further. US research into more modern tanks begins remembering their effectiveness under Patton in the First World War. FDR implements multiple programs in an effort to stabilize the economy, and begins to implement topsoil conservation acts and even builds windbreaks and plants a square of hedges and trees as natural windbreaks and topsoil holders to prevent more massive runoff. The US begins to switch to animals and hay in the affected Dust Bowl areas to lessen or improve various affected areas, The government provides moderate loans to farmers in this regard under a government loans project. The US sends two battleships and some attendent fleets. The USS Texas and USS New York are sent and some 5000 US troops are sent to monitor the situation from spiraling completely out of control. With Argentina coming under attack from Brazil, the US makes the executive decision to send almost 30 prototype B-17's and another 50 prototypes of the P-40 Warhawk to Argentina as well as their air crews. The US declares Brazil's attack on Argentina a bid to increase its own influence over Uruguay and revive an old rivalry with Argentina and declares a police action over the area and stages an invasion of Rio de Janeiro while using the new B-17's to drop bombs on the Brazilian forces. In response to the hurricane the US, seeing a notable improvement in the economy, decides to put the created Industrial corps to use here in repairing the area and the national guard delivering aid to people. The damage, however, is expected to take nearly a decade to fix but some investment moves into the area to help fix necessities. The USS Langley is sent into South America to deal with the rising situation there. Roosevelt undergoes many sleepless nights due to the issues and the Good Neighbor policy failing due to domestic actions in South America. He does, however, justify this to the American public that Getulio Vargas was become more aggressive and undiplomatic and US's previous warnings having fallen on deaf ears left the Fleet no choie but to take action. The account is met with mixed results but his decisiveness leads to a small upward swing in a popularity poll. US operatives counteract Mexican influence in Guatemala informing them that they have longstanding issues with Mexico, and fund El Salvador as well. The US begins to Influence Panama (Turn One of Three).
    • Icelandic Dip: We protest the bombing of Rio de Janeiro as indiscriminate targeting of both military and civilian property and lives, killing both combatants and noncombatants.
    • US Dip: We have only bombed military targets of significance and done as much as possible to shorten the action ... I do not see where you're getting the information on US forces killing civilians.
  • Iceland: We find aluminum and construct a small smelting plant outside our capital city. The Coast Guard is enlarged by a bit to crew and repair the two minesweepers recently introduced. Our radar is now fully operational. Military turn.
Argentina looks to Uruguay, seeing that as a territory of Argentina, declares war and invades the nation in an effort to bring it under Argentine rule. Argentina accuses Brazil of wanting to cause instability on the continent and joining a war they have no reason joining. Argentine forces begin to assault Brazilian forces as the Air Force begins bombing runs. The new supplies from the United States bolster Argentine forces, allowing for more mobility on the battlefield. In response to Brazilian aggression, the military Junta orders a massive war time effort to build as many tanks and aircraft as possible without risking economic damage. Propaganda is pumped throughout Argentina and surrounding areas, blasting the Brazilian's unnecessary attacks. The Brazilian emabassy is raided and all diplomats are arrested and to be tried as spies.
  • Poland: Tensions continue to rise as the Communist Party stirs up more violence against what they call the "capitalist tyrants", and things seem to be taking a turn for the worst.
  • Liechtenstein: We recruit five more men into our police force and we improve trade with Germany. Asks for trade with Austria again.
This, however, sits bad with Churchill and other outspoken anti-Germans and anti-Communists. All dominions are called to send representatives to London to discuss the future of the British Empire and to discuss the possiblity of granting further liberties to the White dominions. British offer the nationalists funding and training to combat the Communists. Interested in the prospects of oil in the Chaco region British support Paraguay in the war.
  • There is no war in Paraguay. Argentina has no problems with Great Britain.
  • The Chaco war, Bolivia vs Paraguay.
    • Mandate of Palestine: Authorities receive the new re-inforcements from the homeland and thank London for the re-inforcements. However, internal strife in the colony continues to grow as the Jewish population from the Soviet Union starts trickling into the Mandate which causes the extremists to increase their violence, and the Jewish paramilitary groups ot increase their activities. Small scale industrialization also continues in the settlements. While not officially aligned, the British and Haganah continue co-operating to keep order and British authorities begin supplying weapons to the organization. The special night squad under Captain Windgate is formed (OTL predecessor to both S.A.S. and to Mossad) to help keep the colony under control.
  • Ethiopia: Ethiopia continues to expand its national infrastructure by building new houses, factories, roads, railways, and power plants to support the nation as it modernizes. The first order of Gafat rifles have been procured, with the second order underway for another 15,000. The military's "Army of the Right" receives modern military uniforms, and receive their modern training as well. They are deployed along the border with Italian Somalia, and hold their positions to maintain a defensive line against the Europeans. Elsewhere, the construction of a heavy weapons plant is completed in Bahir Dar, where the production of howitzers is to begin. It is hoped that Ethiopia will be able to produce aircraft at home in the future with the help of foreign investment. Government officals go into the countryside to encourage inhabitants to move into the cities, rationalizing the easier lifestyle, and greater income and resources. Though the government has difficulties in encouraging people to give up their nomadic ways of life, it does get a number of the nomads out of the countryside and into cities to add to the manpower of the new factories. The military, economy and infrastructure are thus expanded.
  • Tibet: The Dalai Lama decides to create a more sustainable but modern army, rather than an unsustainable and outdated large one. Accordingly, 75,000 men are organized into three divisions of 25,000. They begin to be supplied with modern weapons and training. Factories in Lhasa are upgraded to produce mdoern artillery and small-arms in numbers large enough to supply the military, although this year only about a third is supplied. The militia system is centralized, and has a theoretical capability of 500,000 men, although all recognize that calling up such large numbers is impossible and 100,000 is probably the maximum possible. Railway construction begins, with track laid through eastern Tibet, but construction will take some more years.
    • Iranian Dip: We ask if Tibet would join us in joint Zeppelin research. We offer Tibet all current Zeppelin technology (which is basically blueprints for some crude transports and bombers).
    • Tibet: Accepts and will set aside $5 million per year for this research. A factory to manufacture Zeppelins also begins construction.
    • Pretty sure the Dalai Lama is supposed to be a peaceful person.
    • Not this one.
  • France: We accept the Brazilian and Liechtensteinian requests for trade. We accept the VZ's alliance request. We politely decline to giving Portugal tanks. We agree to let Germany get the Saarland back if they agree to the NAP. We continue building the Maginot Line. We also continue producing arms and vehicles. We continue recruiting. The Prime Minister, Doumergue, denounced Communism. One morning, a few months after he started denouncing Communism, he is found with his throat cut, and a note saying, "Mort aux élites capitalistes! Vive la révolution!". This causes quite a stir, as people weep for the Prime Minister, as well as wait to see who the new Prime Minister will be. Communism begins to slowly grow in France. Fascists and Communists both compete to win the election.
  • Mexico: Socialism in Mexico spreads as the president enacts more socialist reforms. Mexico denounces the United States' bombing of Brazil, calling it uncalled for. Warnings of United States aggression is sent to various nations around the world, urging them to distance themselves from America's warmongering. Furthermore, Mexico demands that the United States cease attempts to influence Mexico. Mexico increases its military, especially its navy. The ground forces are expanded, too. The influencing of Guatemala continues (Turn Two of Three) as Mexico sends funds to revolutionaries in El Salvador. Revolutionaries in Cuba also work to negate America's damage to the nation's sovereignty.
    • US dip: The US responds to Mexico denoting that their nation cannot compete with the United States whatsoever. FDR, while attempting to be cordial, will not allow for Mexico to become expansionist in Central America and warns them that further expansion will be met with US agreements to guarantee the sovereignty of the Central American nations.
  • Hungary: Hungary is shocked at the collapse of Yugoslavia, not realising how fragile the nation was. Former Yugoslav refugees are sent to internment camps as the Hungarian government negotiates what to do with them with the Czech government. Hungary increases military by 0.25. Hungary asks for alliances with Austria and Romania. Hungary starts building a small navy which patrols the Rhine and Danube rivers.
  • Norway: We accept military alliance offer from Finland. We also build our military again.
  • Denmark: King Christian X accepts the defensive alliance offer sent by Sweden, hoping that the alliances between the Scandinavian nations will help protect Scandinavia from any outer threats. To strengthen the ties between the Danish and Swedish royal families, King Christian offers the hand of his son, Crown Prince Frederick of Denmark, to Ingrid of Sweden. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Thorvauld Stauning, who belongs to the Social Democrats, attends to the internal affairs of the country. He passes a few reforms concering the social welfare state, starting its early development. Some of his reforms also give slightly more power to trade unions. Thorvauld also sends an offer of a non-aggression pact to Germany.
  • Colombia: The military and navy are built up. The influencing of Venezuela continues as well as the establishment of good relationships with Peru.
  • República Portuguesa: The Portuguese government was delighted by the offer proposed by the Iranian government to offer cheaper oil to Portugal, despite the fact that Portugal had always had 'normal' relations with Iran. Nevertheless, the government took this as a sign that Iran wanted to establish a better relationship with Portugal and thus the government, shifted its foreign policy regarding Iran toward a pro-Iran one. The Portuguese infantry was well equipped with modern weaponry but the tanks were heavily outdated, thus a request was sent to the United Kingdom for the purchase of their tanks after France had declined the request Portugal had sent to it. The Spanish-Portuguese border had many mines placed near it in case the Spaniards ever attempted to conquer what was supposedly, once part of Hispania. The complete Portuguese navy now consisted of seven battleships, 13 cruisers, nine destroyers, and 18 frigates which were distributed amongst Portuguese overseas territories. [Eco Turn] [Mil Turn]
[Eco Turn]
    • Portuguese Mozambique: 100,000 metric tons of Alumina was extracted annually which was then exported to numerous neighboring countries. • Portuguese Guinea Bissau: Mostly underdeveloped, the Portuguese government instead of developing the nation work on exporting cashew nuts, ground nuts, timber, etc, which are the nation's major exports. The people are generally angered by the government's ignorance toward developing the state and protest against the government's policies during February [Eco Turn]
[Eco Turn]

The naval program continues, with the testing of our first patrol boats commencing. Propaganda continues, increasing nationalistic feelings across the country. Prince Saud is sent to the disputed territory with North Yemen with an army in an attempt to bait a response from the Yemeni government. The plan works and the North Yemeni government launches an attack at Prince Saud's army.
    • Austria Diplomacy: Asks for an NAP and Alliance.

  • Thailand: Thailand continues to build up its military and continues industrialisation. Meanwhile, some new Buddhist temples are built.
  • República de Argentina: Argentina begins to influence Paraguay (Turn Two of Three). One year on, the modernization act has gone a long way to improve schooling. Desiring to become a modern nation, several public works are announced in several cities including Buenos Aires. Some of the works includes construction on metro lines in the city as well as better roads. These works are slated to put many unemployed to work and take most of the decade to complete. People clamour for open elections despite the public works announcements. Argentine forces continue to assault Brazilian forces as the Air Force begins bombing runs. The new supplies from the United States bolster Argentine forces, allowing for more mobility on the battlefield. In response to Brazilian aggression, the military Junta orders a massive war time effort to build as many tanks and aircraft as possible without risking economic damage. Propaganda is pumped throughout Argentina and surrounding areas, blasting the Brazilians' unnecessary attacks. All Brazilian diplomats captured are to have a trial before the Junta in May. The sentence, if found guilty of spying, the penalty will be death. Minister Alfrez travel on diplomatic mission to Columbia, hoping to continue to build South American co-operation. Diplomats also travel to Europe to meet with the Prime Minister of Great Britain and will discuss the future of certain areas of South America.
  • Australia: All is well, we move our fleet northward in wariness of Japanese activities.
  • Spain: in July, a coup designed by José Sajurjo overthrows the republican government. Nationalist forces begin moving through the nation, seizing control of military points, as well as several other locations - notably the border with British Gibraltar. Republican forces, caught off guard, are mostly overwhelmed. But a few in a couple locations resist the Nationalists. The Spanish civil war has begun.
  • Liechtenstein: We declare neutrality in the ongoing conflicts and build another hotel to encourage tourism.
  • 'Iran: ' Funding to India is increased but diverted  mainly to Sikh separatists and separatists in Kashmir. Three tanks are built and put into service and further research goes into practical Zeppelin use, and three small Zeppelins are built and put into service transporting supplies to soldiers. The navy is expanded with two cruisers and  two battleships to be completed by 1937. Several airplane factories open up in Urmia, Fars, Hormuz, and Tehran in hopes that Iran could build its own planes to supply its air force. The Trans-Iranian Railway is almost complete and believed to be finished next year on-schedule. Westernization of the country continues rapidly and the Shah continues to be hit with criticisms of being dictatorial in doing so. A declaration of war is sent to Afghanistan and the massed army of Reza Shah numbering nearly 300,000 invades backed by a dozen tanks and Imperial Iranian Air force (which consisted mainly of slightly-old British and German aircraft) (will need an algo). We inform the British that even with no Afghanistan India will still be safe from the USSR so long as we have it.
  • France: The election results are in. A radicalist is elected into office. Communists and Fascists alike are not pleased with this result. Communists and Fascists in France begin to rise up, causing chaos. The Fascists are easily put down by the military, but the larger Communist Party is harder to take down. The Communists eventually seize Paris in a matter of months. They announce the formation of the People's Republic of France. They change the flag of France to one with Communist symbols, and change the anthem of the nation to The Internationale. However, the short lived nation quickly topples in on itself as the military stages a coup, resulting in them coming to power. At their request, Napoleon VI is put onto the re-established throne of France. The flag is reverted back to the normal tri-color. The anthem is changed to 'La Marche vers la Gloire', a song used by the Grand Armée extensively during the Napoleonic Wars. The name of the country changes to the Third French Empire. The Communist revolutionaries are executed. The government declares support of republican Spain.
  • Saudi Arabia: War in North Yemen continues, with the military production in overdrive to compensate for what is lost in the war. We continue to research into Naval technology, with production of further patrol boats continuing. The propaganda program continues, increasing Saudi Nationalism. In North Yemen, the numerically and technologically superior Saudi Army and Navy pushes into the disputed territory and into North Yemen.
  • Colombia: The military, navy, economy and infrastructure. While this, the government shifts toward the influence of Ecuador initiating soon. While this, troops begin training in the Amazonian rain forest and the Guajirean deserts in order to be prepared for an all environment war as well as in builtup "false" cities in order to get used to the different types of warfare. The republic begins bringing the idea of buying airplanes from the British and Americans to make a stronger air force in the region really capable of self defense. While this, the current government continues establishing a procentral group in order to avoid conflicts between liberals and conservatives groups. While this, the Argentinian representative is welcomed to discuss the joint co-operation between the nations. Industrialization of the capital and Medellin continues.
  • Hungary: The industrialisation of Budapest and Debrecen begins, with a munitions factory opening and the construction of Erszébet Bridge over the Danube underway. Infrastructure is increased by 0.25. Hungary again asks Austria and Romania for an alliance and opens borders with Czechoslovakia. The Hungarian pengő starts experiencing inflation, with a current rate of 7.5%. Hungary also suggests the idea of Austria influencing Switzerland, and maybe Austria having Switzerland as a vassal. President Szálasi revealed to have been born in Slovakia. Hungary wishes to take out a three million pengő loan with Czechoslovakia and offers the heavily industrial county of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén as payment.
After requests by Portugal to both France and UK were turned down, a final one was sent to USA for the purchase of US tanks. With a civil war now going on in Spain, it seemed less likely to António Salazar that Spain would ever attempt to conquer Portugal; thus the placement of mines throughout their border drastically reduced. Whilst Portugal declared that it would remain neutral in the conflict, it did however secretly send supplies to Francisco Franco [Eco Turn] [Mil Turn]
    • Portuguese Angola: The nation famously known as the breadbasket of southern Africa provided southern African nations with bananas, sisal and coffee. A permanent militia of 10,000 men are deployed at the island. [Infra Turn]

  • USSR: Soldiers in Yugoslavia begin to come back to their homeland. The regiments in china continue hunting nationalist strongholds with the Communist Chinese army. The ethnic Russian population of Ukraine continues to grow. The military grows, with the new tanks and planes seeing first use by both Soviet and Communist Chinese forces. We disapprove of the aggression of Iran.
We ask England to fund us more money for our military and navy. Our leader asks England if you are having problems with the Jewish population, we would love to take the Jews off your hands if you send them to us. The nation of South Africa would love to have a Jewish community in our nation. Halfway through this year George Villiers dies due to sickness. The new leader of the nation is Kemba Iverson. He is the first black leader of our nation.
    • This is extremely implausible for a black leader to be elected in South Africa during 1930s ... In fact, Nelson Mandela became the first black president in 1994! So this shouldn't really happen ... Also, although there is no problem with the Jew thing; I believe it would make absolutely no sense for South Africa begging to want Jews and loving Jews. I mean, they are not aliens or something, so ... RexImperio (talk) 16:35, June 9, 2014 (UTC)
    • Impossible for a black to gain power at this time. Also, there is no Jewish problem and i want the Jews in Palestine. It helps my plans along just fine. With Blood and Iron (talk) 19:52, June 9, 2014 (UTC)
  • Hungarian Diplomacy: Hungary requests permission from the USSR to be able to have access to the sea via the Danube Delta in the Ukrainian SSR. Hungary also asks what is happening to former Yugoslavia. Hungary is also interested in an alliance with Portugal and asks for permission to establish a naval base on Azores.
    • Portuguese Diplomacy: António Salazar is extremely reluctant to allow the state Hungary a naval base at Azores, and instead suggests more military co-operation and trade between both nations to further improve their ties. It would indeed make no sense for the Portuguese government to allow Hungary to build a base on the strategic islands when the relations between both states are mediocre at most
    • Hungarian Diplomacy: To strengthen ties with Portugal, Hungary allows the Portuguese drilling rights in the Algyő oilfields, free trade on resources, proposed joint military excercises, and a newly built embassy in Budapest
  • Poland: The Communists try to stage a revolution. This leads to civil war.
  • Seriously?
  • IDK what but something is happening in Poland which is making very little sense ... First, a civil war, then Communists take over few provinces, then enlist themselves as a party for elections, now a revolution and civil war again?
  • OK, I'm putting my foot down.
  • Mod Event: Due to the continued political instability in Poland the areas of Eastern Poland were Belarus and Ukrainians form a majority begin revolting against Polish rule and the German minority in the Polish corridor begin demanding a return to Germany. Ethnic violence begins to spread throughout the country, particularly in the south.
  • Turkey: Economic expansion, recovering from aiding in the war against Yemen.
This, however, sits bad with Churchill and other outspoken anti-Germans and anti-Communists. All dominions are called to send representatives to London to discuss the future of the British Empire and to discuss the possiblity of granting further liberties to the White dominions. British offer the nationalists funding and training to combat the Communists. Interested in the prospects of oil in the Chaco region British support Paraguay in the war.
    • Mandate of Palestine: British and Haganah forces engage the Arab rebels in brutal warfare throughout Palestine and Transjordan while attempts to reach a settlement are made by the moderates of both communities. Anti-arab nationalist Muslims in the mandate form the so called peace bands (OTL organizations) after persuasion from colonial authorities, while the Night Squads engage in counter insurgency operations brutally suppressing rebel strongholds. The Jewish population continues to grow with the large expulsion from the U.S.S.R. and  the growing troubles in Europe. With a population of 600,000 in the Mandate, Jewish settlements and communities along the coast continue to grow and expand into the interior and the recruits for Haganah also grow, now supplied with British weapons. Training and professionalization of the group continues as its leadership is boosted with ex-military from European countries. Small industry continues to grow.
    • Why do you keep saying that about Japan? I haven't even posted until recently, and I haven't had a single war. I even ended skirmishes against China and have been moving toward peace.
    • Canadian Dip: William Lyon Mackenzie King goes to London personally.
  • Austria: Nationalism grows. Economy grows. Habsburgs rise in popularity.
  • Czechoslovakia: We continue to use propaganda to bring Slavs together. We accept Hungary's offer, claiming our new lands. The creation of a pan-slavic language is begun, and Tito sponsors this project. We send our troops into Southern Poland, to claim the land for Czechoslovakia, and protect the local people from the ravages of war. Tito decides to change the name of our great nation, from Czechoslovakia, to Západslavie. We begin to produce monoplanes as our main aircraft. Czech forces begin to return from Yugoslavia, passing through Hungary as they do so.
  • Finland: We continue to build up our military.
  • Canada: We expand our economy and infrastructure. We request Czechoslovakia to halt their invasion of Poland. William Lyon Mackenzie King goes to London. He goes personally, because he wants to discuss Canadian independence.
    • Czechoslovak Diplomacy: We are sending troops in the protect the Polish from the constant revolutions tearing the nation apart, as we do not believe slavic people should suffer such hardships.
    • Canadian Dip: No, you said you were sending troops into Southern Poland to claim the land for Czechoslovakia.
    • Czechoslovak Diplomacy: Because Czechoslovakia's manifest destiny is to unite all of the Western Slavs. The Polish government has proved inadequate at protecting their people, who now flourish in Západslavie.
    • If it's meant to unite all Western Slavs why does it have the name of only one Slavic (Slovak) group and the name of one Germanic group [Czech (considered Germanic until after WW2)] in the name. Shouldn't it become Westoslavia or something? And why did it start with the country whose name means "Land of Southern Slavs" (Yugoslavia) if you're going for Western Slavs?
  • Sweden: Accepts the Danish royal marriage and extends the defensive alliance to Finland walong a trade agreement. Gustav V leaves for France in order to meet the new monarch of France and propose a trade agreement. Iceland is offered five patrol boats and a mine sweeper for a cheap price. We send humanitarian assistance to Poland.
  • Ethiopia: Ethiopia continues it modernization efforts, producing additional military uniforms to modern standards, and equipping the troops with the new Gafat rifle. The construction of new roads, housing, factories, and power facilities, continues as planned, and the development of the nations transportation network proceeds on time. Addis Ababa sees many portions of the city rebuild, with a modern grid street system, a superior postal system that can allow for mail to be delievered directly to the house of the receiver instead of the local post office. The electric grid of the city is expanded to include at least 50% of the inhabitants, and a modern sanitation system in developed for the city to cut back on health issues and pollution. The railway network in the northern half of the nation has been completed, with a single wide gauge rail running throughout most of the area's major cities. Plans to expand it to a greater size are drawn up, and industries being developed there now have greater potential to export their goods beyond their areas without costly transportation costs. The military, economy and infrastructure are thus expanded by the government.

  • Liechtenstein: Builds infrastructure and starts industrialisation.
  • Hungary: Construction on the Erszébet Bridge is completed and trade relations commence with Portugal. Hungary begins building 38M Toldi and 41M Turan II tanks. Military increases by 0.25. With the money from Czechoslovakia, the pengő is stable for the forseeable future. The funny thing is that three million pengő converts to 270,000 Czechoslovak koruna. President Szálasi is assassinated, and Admiral Miklós Horthy is sworn in to office. Hungary's flag is changed to have a red band through the green bottom third, a green band through the red top third and the Wehrmacht Cross in the middle. In Hungary, the Wehrmacht Cross is slightly altered and is known as 'Győzelem Varázsa' or Victory Charm.
    • Bulgarian Diplomacy: We propose a military alliance and a trade pact between Bulgaria and Hungary.
    • Hungarian Diplomacy: We accept this proposal.
  • Estonia: Estonia accepts the offer from Romania and will return with the offer of limestone in our country. The government of Estonia, on the other hand has other ideas after declaring that the population of Estonia must be shared equal. The idea, gets scrapped two days later after public backlash.
  • Colombia: The military, economy and infrastructure are built up. While this, the influence of Ecuador continues and the plans to continue training the troops in the forest and the desert, while the industrialization in Colombia continues as well.
Meanwhile, the military was developed with the construction of two cruisers and infrastructure was developed to attract tourists to Lisbon. With the recent military build up in Europe, Salazar made sure that Portugal was not left behind. All cruisers built by Portugal had ten four-inch (ten cm) high-angle guns with appropriate fire-control equipment attached to it to provide larger warships with protection against high-altitude bombers. A meeting was held as to whether or not construct more heavy cruisers to defend the coastline from any invasion. Meanwhile, Salazar was grateful by Hungary granting the Portuguese official drilling rights to their oilfield, but with Iran already supplying Portugal with cheap oil and the extraction of oil from Angola; it seemed quite less likely for Portugal to ever look for fossil fuels in the coming future. Thus, the oilfield rights were politely declined; instead António pushed on better military ties between the two states for Portugal sought to use Hungary as a way to prevent Czechoslovakias constant aggression. Salazar also showed interest in importing dairy products and textile from Hungary. The Foreign Minister questions the German Leader, Hindenburg whether Germany would be interested in selling its tanks to Portugal. [Eco Turn] [Mil Turn]

A few more geological surveys conducted resulted in the discovery of a 4200 billion cubic metres of natural gas off the coast of the Cape Delgado Province. By this time it seemed appropriate for António Salazar to say 'We've found our very own golden egg in Mozambique'. • Portugal Diplomacy: António Salazar personally arrives at the port once informed of Miklós Horthy and Horthy is invited for dinner with Salazar.
    • Horthy accepts this proposal, noting that they need to discuss Czechoslovakia.
  • Iranian Dip: We offer to buy old ships from Portugal.
    • Portuguese Diplomacy: The offer is accepted and one cruiser and three destroyers are sold to Iran
Minister Alfrez satisfied by the growing co-operation in South America, returns to Argentina. The War with Brazil is ended with a status quo antebellum and all diplomats are released. The war with Uruguay continues, military specialists believe the war may be complete by the fall of 1938.
    • I am not a moderator and I see no problem with you influencing Paraguay; but if by any chance you're 'vassalizing' it, then I believe it is extremely implausible for you to vassalize a sovereign state and even if you do so; don't you think it would take longer than 50-60 years? Unless you take military action, which acts like a catalyst RexImperio (talk) 16:57, June 10, 2014 (UTC)
    • Um --- what are you blabbing about? Paraguay is an NPC nation, meaning it is perfectly acceptable to vassalise the state, well within the rules. If it was a player nation the I would not be able to, but it is not. Therefore your argument is invalid. Good day.

  • Sweden: A military build up program is launch to modernize and expand our army with the goal of having 55 000 soldiers by 1938. The air force is also expanded with more plane being build and research for a new modern plane being launched. We offer to Finland a defensive alliance. Iron continues to be exported to Europe and America. Estonia and Portugal are offer a trade deal.
    • Portugal Diplomacy: Trade offer is accepted and the Minister for Trade and Investment suggests the sale of cheaper iron by Sweden, in return for granting them access through the Portuguese Exclusive Economic zone, into the Mediterranean Sea for free [Use Wikipedia To Find Out What EEZ Is]
  • Bulgaria: Since the new government has been put in place the nation has begun a new era. Unemployment is at an all time low and the economy hasn't been better since the 19th century. The military now stands at 450,000 and development of the navy and air guard are now the main focus. Troops are stationed along the western border since the collaspe of Yugoslavia and the Tsar once again asks Czechoslovakia for the return of its lands (that have stong ethnic ties to Bulgaria) that were taken by Serbia in the previous Balkan Wars.
    • Bulgaria Diplomacy: We send an alliance (we accept the previous trade offer) to Romania in the term that is returns all Bulgarian land taken in the Treaty of Bucharest (this includes land from the town of Silista to the Black Sea). We also send an alliance and trade offer to Italy, Germany and Austria
  • Iran: Several tanks are built and put into service while several new tank factories open up across the country. Several more small Zeppelins are put into use and are found to be quite handy in the rugged and mountainous terrain of Afghanistan, though they have been found to be shot down somewhat easily. Plane factories open and Iran begins to supply for its own air force, building planes based of current British and German planes owned by the Imperial Iranian Air force. Development continues as the Trans-Iranian Railway is nearly complete, but plans are made to rename it the Trans-Persian Railway and also expand it into Afghanistan. The British military base in Hormuz is soon to be shut down. [Mil Turn] [Infra Turn]
  • Romania: We accept Bulgaria's alliance and agree to give back old lands. We once again request a military/trade alliance with Italy and Nazi Germany.
  • Turkey: Military expansion, development of tank. Economic expansion through investing in industry. Offer to join in on the Trans-Persian railway by expanding it into the Trans-Oriental railway. [Iran].
    • Iranian Dip: We like this Trans-Oriental Railway idea.
  • United States: The United States works to improve its military and economy, expanding the Air Force especially, though the navy is also increased. The influencing of Cuba reaches its final stage as Cuba officially becomes a vassal (for lack of a better term) of the United States. The US offers more trade deals to Britain and to France. In the meantime, President Franklin Roosevelt continues his campaign for re-election, winning the election in November. In other news, President Roosevelt attends the dedication of Thomas Jefferson's head at Mount Rushmore. The Hoover Dam on the Colorado River, which was completed earlier this year, is officially dedicated on September 30 of this year. The upstream face of the Hoover Dam begins to slowly be covered with water as the river accommodates the Hoover Dam into its landscape. The US attempts to negate the effects of the dustbowl, but it has little luck. Attempts to fix the economic downturn, however, are jump started by production of supplies for Argentina.
  • Canada: William King requests full independence from the UK, no longer as the Dominion of Canada, but as the Canadian State. Our army reaches 1,000,000 men. 10,000 men are sent to intervene in Poland, as they are politically unstable. We suggest we let the Polish people decide what direction they want the nation to go. We launch the National Housing Act and the National Employment Commission. The worst of the crisis is over. [ECO TURN]  [INFRA TURN].
  • Saudi Arabia: Military and economy improve. War continues in North Yemen. King Saud continues his search for oil, hoping that they are drawing closer, as the Saudi Economy grows stagnet, with the ongoing war not improving the situation. Occupied Yemeni Government is set up in the gained territories and adminstered by the army and Prince Saud. (Not a real vassal, just a temporary government for now).
    • Iranian Dip: We offer military support to our friends across the gulf.
  • USSR: The ethnic Russian population in Ukraine keeps growing. The Communist Chinese forces continue aid, and Russian planes continue to aid the growing Communist Chinese forces against the nationalists. A design for a semi-automatic rifle made to withstand thick mud is called groundbreaking and the prototype is deemed.
  • New Zealand: Economic and Military improvement. With the New Zealand Labour Party now in charge, New Zealand becomes slightly more socialist economy-wise, also improving the economy, while maintaining the democratic system. Socialism increases slightly. In response to this, the United and Reform parties merge to form the New Zealand National Party, a centre-right party. Labour also increases the military, and sets the country on a path to socialism.
  • Iceland: We agree with the offer of Sweden. The economy continues to improve and the fishing grounds become more profitable.
  • France: With Napoleon VI on the throne, he sends four divisions of men to Indochina, equal to 60,000 men, to put down the rebellions. Six more divisions are at the ready, meaning 150,000 troops are ready to fight to keep Indochina. Defenses in the east continue being built up.

The Royal Dutch Air Force begins building additional aircraft, and the shipyards begin to work on new vessels for the Navy.
  • Iran: Development continues as the Trans-Iranian Railway is finally completed, and it begins to be built in whatever safely-secured regions if Afghanistan under Iranian occupation. Reza Shah personally leads his army to several military victories before an Afghan counterattack took most of the army by surprise, which would result in a series of defeats that would cost Iran most of Aghanistan. The war continues, for now. Zeppelins continue to be researched and a new model shows prowess as a bomber against Afghans. The still-modest but growing navy continues to grow as plans for two destroyers, two cruisers, and three corvettes and one submarine are to be made by the end of the year. Tanks and planes are now produced in a steady fashion, supplying the military with a decent consistent amount. To make the economy less-dependent on oil and therefor stable a program begins to shift some of economic burden onto the recenty-nationalized spice and opium industry. [Econ Turn] [Infra Turn]

Nevertheless, the government took this as a sign that Iran wanted to establish a better relationship with Portugal and thus the government, shifted its foreign policy regarding Iran toward a pro-Iran one. The placement of as many as 48,000 sea mines along Portuguese waters with the majority placed nearby the Straits of Gibraltar, thus the military made sure that no Nationalist-led Moorish invasion fleet ever succeeded in reaching mainland Portugal without facing severe casualties. Anti-aircraft equipment were developed in the navy and the military constructed their very own bomber plane as well as a recon one which was used to conduct reconnaissance within Spain. During the meeting between Admiral Miklós Horthy and António Salazar, it was agreed upon by both that Hungary would sell its tanks to Portugal. Hungary was also granted permission to construct a naval base at the Azores islands. Meanwhile, the Spanish Civil War is still taking place at the Iberian Peninsula, and supplies are sent to Francisco Franco by the Portuguese. Much French and Russian weaponry utilised by the Republican forces is captured and rebuilt in Portugal by reverse-engineering. The tanks include the Russian T-26 and BT Tank. Another armed vehicle, the Bravia Chaimite was built by a Portuguese Company. Salazar hoped that the Spanish Civil War would severely weaken Spain and make it less of a threat to Portugal, and he no longer cared whether it were the Nationalists or Republican who won the war. As time passed, it became more and more members of the Portuguese Parliament demanded Salazar to invade Spain and secure Portuguese interests. While moving through Lisbon, Salazar is killed in a bomb. [Czechoslovakia conquered Yugoslavia and gained outlet to the sea] and the ships dispatched would also receive assistance from the Air Force which was ordered to conduct bombing of major Czech cities. [Previously Yugoslavian]. António Salazar requests major European powers to intervene and prevent Czech from carving Eastern Europe into their Empire.

... Portugal has no ability to strike Eastern Europe.

I don't really see how not considering the fact that I am merely imposing a naval blockade and bombing the coastal cities. I already possess the warships and all I have to do is dispatch them ... I mean, we've seen Czechoslovakia crossing the border and conquering all of Yugoslavia, then declaring Tito their leader despite how Tito was the one that turned Yugoslavia into a somewhat fail state in this map game and I think we also ignored the Czechs supposed attack on Western Poland or whatever they were planning despite the fact that Czechoslovakia couldn't even stop Germany from taking over their entire land ... Now a third war which is the bombing of Hungary ... So please uncross it? I also find it extremely strange and biased that Portugal dispatching its navy, Canada condemning the invasion and requesting UK and Commonwealth to take action have all been crossed out. Portugal was, at this time, focused on itself. The Western Populace was war-weary and had no interest in fighting a major war at this point. Also, Langue. Lin Sen soon hears of this and takes advantage of it, striking at the now leaderless Communists, crushing the small Communist territories previously controlled by Mao. It is decided to start building up infrastructure, and fortifications are built on the wall with Manchukuo, as well as construction on the coast, called the Pacific Wall, made with concrete, machine guns, anti-air artillery, and anti-naval weapons, it will be completed in five or so years, jokingly called the Second Great Wall, or Fortress China. Efforts are also placed into a wall with the Soviet Union, though this is not as much a priority. Lin Sen, seeing the recent actions in Japanese dominated Manchukuo, orders the revmping of the military, ordering new weapons manufacturers, and the creation of a large national army to combat any possible Japanese "adventures", it is hoped to reach eight million in the upcoming years, and arm them as weapons are imported from Europe and America, while the air force is to reach 2000 aircraft with six years.
  • Iceland: We retire four inshore patrol boats and offer to sell them to any willing buyer. Search for metals continues. Construction on a coal power plant begins. Military turn
    • Hungarian Diplomacy: Hungary is interested in buying these boats after the war for a million forint.
    • Icelandic Dip: We agree to this deal.
      • This is extremely implausible because Hungary is a landlocked state with no outlet to the sea except maybe a port that Czech allowed you to use via Yugoslavia? Anyway, patrol boats would have little to no use during your war with Czech because not only can Czech prevent the boats from ever reaching Hungary's military, the money used on the boats could be used elsewhere. RexImperio (talk) 08:26, June 13, 2014 (UTC)
      • Excuse you, I think you're being biased. We have rivers and the Danube passes through Hungary so Romania permitting we can use the Danube Delta.
      • In OTL, the Hungarian Ground Forces maintain a river patrol force, even as a landlocked nation. Daeseunglim (talk)
      • I don't really see why patrol boats would be purchased for defending a river and I don't remember any agreement between Romania or Hungary referring to Hungary being allowed to use Danube Delta. [Although they are on pretty good terms in this game]. Anyway, it is Hungary's choice to make so anyway, I don't want to starting arguing. RexImperio (talk) 13:37, June 13, 2014 (UTC)
      • Never mind, I take back what I said considering the fact that Hungary has the strongest inland navy or something in Central and Eastern Europe although I fear Yugoslavia might try to stop the patrol boats from reaching Danube Delta so make sure they are guarded. RexImperio (talk) 14:26, June 13, 2014 (UTC)
  • Colombia: The government of Columbia continues influencing the government of Ecuador. While this, the republic continues training its soldiers, although many begin questioning such actions, military and navy are built up, and the infrastructure continues to be built up, although the oil refinery has been finished to be built after several years of construction. The leadership begins seeking for three main defensive plans, two of them involving North and North Eastern invasion by sea or land (from the Caribbean Sea or Venezuela). One from South and Southwest (Peru, Ecuador or Brazil) and one for western and forest invasions if needed (Panama through Darien and Brazil through the Amazons).
  • Ethiopia: Ethiopia begins work on developing its armored forces, constructing a heavy weapons plant in Gondar, where it will begin producing light tankettes for the Imperial Army. The military has placed an order for 300 tankettes, known as gan, Amharic for "tank". The G-1 tankette had been in design by engineering students and foreign contractors hired by the Emperor of Ethiopia to increase the hitting power of his military. While the G-1 is to enter production, plans to design aeroplanes for the military shall proceed next. With the increase number of railways and power plants, the industrialization of the nation can begin properly. Oil exploration in Ethiopia has lead to the discovery of Ethiopia possessing the potential to produce a total of 700 million barrels of oil, that being the current estimate of the government-sponsored foreign investors. Plans to exploit that oil potential are drawn up for the next year. The military and economy are developed further by the government.
  • Iran:  Modern tanks and aircraft as well as experimental Zeppelins are added to the military. The economy is improved as Westernization continues. [Mil Turn] [Econ Turn]
    • Iranian Dip: We offer Japan a trade deal.
  • Canada: We call for Commonwealth, especially the UK, to react against the Czechoslovak aggression (MOD RESPONSE NEEDED). [Mil Turn] [Eco Turn].
  • France: When the Germans take back the Rhineland without permission, we put trade sanctions on them. We prepare our troops on the German and Benelux borders in case of any further acts of aggression. Emperor Napoleon VI supports monarchists in Germany, and seeks to mend relations, if the Germans would stop making efforts against the French.
  • Italy: Builds up its economy and military. The Radio Balilla is released in the colonies of Libya, Eritrea and Somalia. The Army is experimenting a new type of airplanes.
  • República Portuguesa:The Portuguese government was delighted by the offer proposed by the Iranian government to offer cheaper oil to Portugal, despite the fact that Portugal had always had 'normal' relations with Iran. Nevertheless, the government took this as a sign that Iran wanted to establish a better relationship with Portugal and thus the government, shifted its foreign policy regarding Iran towards a pro-Iran one. Meanwhile, the military was developed with the construction of two cruisers and infrastructure was developed to attract tourists to Lisbon. With the recent military build up in Europe, Óscar made sure that Portugal was not left behind. The placement of as many as 49,000 sea mines along Portugal's coastlands and some within Portuguese waters made sure that no invasion fleet ever succeeded in reaching mainland Portugal without facing severe casualties. Many French and Russian weaponry utilised by the Republican forces are captured and rebuilt in Portugal by reverse-engineering. The tanks include the Russian T-26 and BT Tank. Another armed vehicle, the Bravia Chaimite was built by a Portuguese Company. Óscar accepted that a referendum should be held to consider the wishes of the people of Olivenza and Táliga. A referendum was held in Olivenza and Táliga both of which were claimed by Portugal. Spanish Nationalists won in Olivenza with 76% vote and 70% in Táliga [Random.org] much to Óscar's surprise who claimed cheating had taken place and secretly sent a telegram to the Spanish leader stating:

Olivenza and Táliga were once a crucial part of the Portuguese Empire, stolen by the Spanish from us. I believe cheating occurred during the referendum for the land of Olivenza needs to forever remain one with Portugal. You see, the aid that Portugal provided to your nationalist forces and the fact that we allowed german ships carrying weaponry through our waters to Seville further shows our support and love for Spain for we feared a weak state would collapse thus, we concluded supporting the nationalists was the only way for a stable government to form. The Portuguese military could have easily targeted a weak Spain during your Civil War as well as establish a complete naval blockade but we did not do so for we do not wage wars and merely want peace. The territory of Olivenza and Táliga might not have returned with the referendum but they certainly can as a gift from Spain. I'll be looking forward to your answer and Portuguese relationship with Spain under your reign. Meanwhile, the BT and T26 Tanks were produced in large number for Portugal wanted to defend itself if war broke out at the Iberian Peninsula. Secretly, Óscar feared a war between France and UK against Germany and was worried in case war ever reached Portugal itself. [Eco Turn] [Mil Turn]

    • Portuguese Angola: The nation famously known as the breadbasket of southern Africa provided southern African nations with bananas, sisal and coffee. The port is generally believed to be utilised for exporting materials from Senegal and Gambia by the British and French authorities. A military base was built and five destroyers dispatched to guard the islands. [Mil Turn]
    • Portuguese Mozambique: 'Portuguese Mozambique: 100,000 metric tons of Alumina was extracted annually which was then exported to numerous neighboring countries. Huge coalfields are discovered in the Tete province which according to Portuguese the Minister for Energy and Resources would result in no longer any need to import coal. A few more geological surveys conducted resulted in the discovery of a 4200 billion cubic metres of natural gas off the coast of the Cape Delgado Province. The extraction of gas and digging of coal had started in large scale with the natives employed as workers. Coal and gas extracted were transported to Portugal albeit the majority was exported to African, Oceanian and South East Asian states. [Eco Turn]

The port is generally believed to be utilized for exporting materials from French Cameroon, French Gabon and Spanish Equatorial Guinea. [Eco Turn]
Óscar was quite keen on deploying the Portuguese navy at the Indian Ocean and did so, after consulting his generals.

1938.5

This game is already losing steam, but for now it shall continue.

I refuse to play until Local loses his modship and Czechoslovakia is fixed. Kurt Cobain's Haircut (talk)

I've left, eejit.

Left after ruining the game with your implausibility, that is.

Oh, do shut up, Daxus. It's Pita-less AvA. What did you expect?

Why don't we just start over, same nations, but this time without the ASB stuff.

I'm done with map games for a while, and AvA should probably be laid to rest.

ASB stuff will continue to happen unless experienced moderators are picked who make sure implausible actions are not taking place. In AvA, not only was the moderator himself implausible (with five players against him and zero supporting him), but other moderators were not even concerned regarding what was happening. They should've intervened and ended the problem ASAP.

^^^ This. Essentially, the game is dying because of bad moderating.

  • Thailand: Thailand continues to build up its military and continues industrialisation. Meanwhile, some new Buddhist temples are built.

We ask England to fund us more money for our military and navy.

  • Hungary: Come on, can this war be over? Czechoslovakia isn't responding. Hungary takes Vojvodina and Belgrade and Bratislava are under siege.
  • Colombia: Build up an infrastructure as usual, Influencing of Ecuador continues.
  • Portugal and Colonies: A meeting is held as to whether or not accept the alliance with Spain. Pressure mounts on Óscar from many Portuguese nationalists who demand Óscar fulfills his promise of bringing back Olivenza. [Mil Turn] [Eco Turn]
  • Italy: Benito Mussolini visits the FIAT factory to see how the new type of airplanes is coming. [Mil Turn] [Eco Turn]
  • Turkey: [Mil and eco turn] The Atatürk becomes sick and "leads" the nation from his bed. Because of this, the numerous Turkish parties prepare for the expected elections that would start in 1939.
  • 'New Zealand: Military and economy improvement. The New Zealand Labour party wins the election by a landslide. Turning its attention to Czechoslovakia and the Canadian request for Commonwealth aid, New Zealand builds up its economy and gives the New Zealand Organization for National Security and the army a boost in funding, saying it will aid Canada should it declare war on Czechoslovakia.
    • Canadian Dip: We thank New Zealand for their support.
  • Finland: We accept Sweden's free trade proposal from some time back.

Impeachment of Local in the talkpage, I want this game to survive!

1939

After a decimating defeat, Czechoslovakia falls apart into the Czech Republic and the People's Republic of Slovakia. Without direct access to Yugoslavia, the nation splits as well, causing the recreation of the Karađorđević dynasty in Serbia, Montenegro, Vojwodina and Macedonia and the Republic of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegowina and parts of Vojwodina (Srijem).

Tito, who led the Yugoslav-Czechoslovak union turns out to be an imposter with the real Tito leading the rebellion against the Czechoslovak government in Yugoslavia.

Judging by the recent events, Local loses his mod position, Rimp is banned for a week and I will handle this ASB cluster in Local's area. SkyGreen24 - Join the party 14:18, June 16, 2014 (UTC)

The NZLP, in response, develops their economy, increases funding to the New Zealand Organisation for National Security and calls out for Commonwealth aid, particularly Canada. We develop the north of Sweden with wood industries and many factories being installed in the cities and large villages. Tourism is also developed by building small chalets that we loan to tourism for a high price. We offer South Africa support to develop their nation. Trade with Finland continues and we propose to turn the League of Nations into something more "solid and useful", pointing at the Czechoslovak invasion of Yugoslavia and the chaos that follows. Among our propositions, we propose a peacekeeper force that would protect innocents in dangerous zones.
  • Hungary: Slovakia and Serbia are absorbed into Hungary and we declare war on Croatia, starting to launch attacks.
  • LOL, no. That's not how you conquer nations. You need an algo and a plausible casus belli. -Sky
  • Hungary: I had previously conquered parts of Slovakia and Serbia and you don't need casus belli or algo for NPCs. Uncross it.
  • Yes, you do. Take the tone down, too. ~Edge

I still conquered Slovakia and a portion of Serbia. ~Copper
