Atomic World (Map Game)

Welcome to the Atomic World! Atomic World is a map game set in the immediate aftermath of a major nuclear war between NATO and the Warsaw Pact in the year 1962 AD. No one knows who launched first, but the results were all the same, total annihilation of civilization. All that remains are the few survivors and scavengers who were left after the initial exchange.

In Atomic World you can play as almost anything you can imagine. Small survivor states and tribes banding together for survival. Remnants of pre-war governments determined to rebuild from the ashes. Hordes of raiders and bandits ready to lay waste to whatever remains. You can decide the fate of the post-apocalyptic Earth in Atomic World.

Rules

How To Play

Sign up and create a faction under "Factions". A faction can be anything you want! A survivor state, band of raiders, surviving army division etc. Just be realistic (a faction cannot start too overpowered).

Once your faction and faction leader are created, just specify where your faction is located and I will mark it down on the map.

Then you can begin. You may only post once per turn. In your turn you can role-play, perform diplomacy with other nations (once you have made contact), build up your military, population and industry, expand and go to war!

• USA: After the atomic destruction of Washington D.C and most of the government, the surviving remnants are evacuated to Cheyenne Mountain Facility. Robert McNamara is sworn in as President Of The United States in the NORAD Command Facility and assumes the role of Commander in Chief. His first orders is to secure the area around Cheyenne Mountain. We expand our territory to include the surrounding areas. Meanwhile, the surviving remnants of the US Army train to face whatever threat may face them out in the Wasteland. So far, however, we have not encountered any of the dangerous creatures or mutants lurking in the wastelands. An attempt is made to contact other survivors of the war. [Player Response Required] Using whatever materials on hand, we attempt to fortify and expand the Cheyenne Mountain base, our new Capital. Elections are suspended for now, as we struggle to rebuild ourselves from the ruins. We continue to expand and grow our nation, preparing supplies for the incoming Nuclear Winter ...
  • Northern Counties Dip: We offer an alliance with the reformed USA ask they recognize our claims to England.
    • USA: We accept the alliance offer and officially recognize the Northern Countries as the successor state to Great Britain. May our alliance continue long into the future, and may God bless you during these troubled times.
  • Final Command Dip We inform the US government (or what is left of it) that the 1st Infantry Division survived the nukes, but is now the autonomous and independent organization known as First Command, lead by General Hudson McCollum.
    • USA: The US Government demands that the 1st Infantry Division obey the authority of the Commander In Chief, President Robert McNamara and swear allegiance to the legitimate government in Cheyenne Mountain.
    • Final Command Dip: General Hudson McCollum refuse to recognize the authority of McNamara as 36th President and as Supreme Commander of the US military, as Final Command is the official successor of the US military. We demand total recognition of our autonomy.
    • USA: We instead propose an alliance between us for duration of this national emergency. After order has been restored in the continental United States, we can discuss the reconstruction of the Union.
    • Final Command Dip: We would agree to a non-aggression treaty, as alliance would mean we recognize MCNamara administration. We also warn that no troops from the "US" must go into Kansas, in exchange of which we will not enter Coloraado (a deal similar to the one in Korea).
    • USA: Deal.

• The Alliance of Northern English Counties: Alston is declared the capital and a military of farmers is formed and they are sent out on patrols to keep control of the North Pennies region; to ensure Scottish raiders and southern refugees don't enter. Due to the decrease in amounts of agriculture food is rationed heavily and all civilians are required to have a fallout shelter to live in majority of their time and are only to leave when performing actions on the surface. Houses are to be fireproofed and water stockpiled.

• Mongol Horde: Relatively unaffected by the nuclear holocaust, ethnic Mongols begin to create a unified state under Monarch Genghis Khan II. We request an alliance with the Kazakh tribes in the west and south, hypothetically putting them under Mongol control albeit under strong autonomy. We expand farther into eastern Mongolia and Xinjiang. We send expeditions into Siberia in hopes of finding abandoned Soviet technology, in order to give the Mongols an advantage over potential opposing factions.
  • Mod Response: Some of the Kazakh Tribes accept to live under Mongolian control (expecting supplies and support of course) but some of them don't, saying Mongolians are not to be trusted. They also attack Mongolian expedition squads.
• The Fighters of Buddha: We start recording creatures we found in the rain forests of our region. We divide our hunters to hunter-gather both in sea and land. We try to find new ways to clear our fish and animals so we don't get sick. We started education for children and nursing schools for women in Angkor Wat. We established a new outpost and expanded our territory.
• The People's Republic of Siberia: Following the nuclear exchange, the People's Republic of Siberia is born as the successor state to the Soviet Union, with its capital in Novokuznetsk. Military buildup and economic expansion begin as we begin to recover from the war. Attempts at recovering pre-War technology begin as we expand into the rest of Siberia, laying claim to the entire historical region. Our scouts and troops begin to expand outside of Novokuznetsk and the surrounding territory, particularly to the south as the nuclear winter begins and begin slowly and gradually grabbing bits of Siberia in an attempt to restore order. We also declare ourselves to be the successor state of the Soviet Union. Infrastructure begins restoration and this includes everything from basic food and water supplies to communications infrastructure. Attempts are made to contact the outside world [Player Response Necessary].
  • USA: We manage to get a faint signal of the Soviet message and send a reply. We offer a ceasefire to our former enemies, as there is no more point in warring against one another with our armies decimated.
    • Siberian Diplomacy: The People's Republic of Siberia accepts the offer of the United States. Our predecessor's biggest mistake was starting the Third World War, and we will recognise it as the biggest mistake of humanity's history.
    • USA: We completely agree, may humanity never make this horrible mistake ever again.
  • Australian Dip: We manage to gain a faint signal and send a reply. "Hello, [Radio Breaking up] the Australian Conf-[radio breaking up] are at Coffs Harbour [radio breaking up]. Damn Radio...[Radio Signal lost].
• Turkey-Bulgaria: The government starts complimenting the National Army and recruits more troops using propaganda. TV is used as well as posters to encourage war against Greece and the former USSR, more troops are stationed at the border.

• • Mod Response Please remember that this a post apocalyptic map game and it's unlikely you have the capability to do the things you describe immediately after a nuclear war.   • Okay then. The new established Turkish Government tries to re-build its former glory, they start a talk in the national assembly and share their ideas about improving the country to restore the technology as well as dealing with radioactive/destroyed cities in the east. The city of Istanbul, is completely destroyed, The National Assembly talks about rebuilding the old city. But as resource levels go down, Turkey has began trading with minor tribes in Syria. 
• Final Command: Self proclaimed General Hudson McCollum began to turn Fort Riley into a true fortress, hoping to make it his Command Center in the following years. Due to the military ambiance of the Fort, McCollum is able to keep his troops organized and disciplined. He then send Colonel James F. Pratt with troops to take control of Junction City and other cities East of Fort Riley. Final Command take control of eastern territories.
• Islamic Alliance: We begin to rebuild madrasas (religious schools), jails, printing machines, TVs and cities affected by the war. Madrasas become very popular because it gives people somewhere to live, eat and learn religion, science, math, Arabic, and history. Hand cranked radios become the TV for now. People are paid to make happy or join the army posters and murals across Anbar with hopes of easing the shock. We begin to set up Water purification areas where people come to clean their water and learn more about radiation animals begin to be domesticated and some are killed for food. The Malik outlaws cigars calling them "a suicidal machine." Our militias and ex-military begin to organize and train each other under command of our Malik, while they are sent to madrasas to know why they're fighting. We begin an assault on Baghdad only facing a few militias taking it in hours. We begin to send troops to Syria to the town of Al Bukamal. We try to ally with Sunni Tribes across Iraq and Syria [Mod Response]. Attempts are made to the out side. [any player response necessary]
  • Mod Response: Many of the Sunni tribes neighbouring the territory of the Islamic Alliance join the Alliance, believing the nuclear holocaust to be punishment from Allah.
• The Australian Confederation: With the nuclear annihilation of Australia, we set up Coffs Harbour as our diplomatic and political capital while we set up Armidale as our military capital. We send 500 soldiers to Newcastle (Australia) to recover as much military equipment and if possible, try to recruit more men and women in the nearby Newcastle area. We send diplomats to the refugee and mercenary tribes in Newcastle and Sydney to try to form an alliance and if possible, try to accept them into the Confederation [Mod response needed]. We set up military outposts in the border to stop mercenary raids in the area. Infrastructure such as roads, houses, schools, ports and refugee camps. We attempt to contact people from the outside world as no one knows if there are any survivors left in the rest of the world [Player response needed].
  • Mod Response: The tribes of Newcastle join the Australian Confederation. However, the Sydney tribes are not so easily convinced and turn down the offer, opting to remain independent.
  • USA: After establishing a weak but workable signal, we offer to set up diplomatic relations between the US Government and the new Australian Confederation. Best of luck to you these hard times and God Bless.
    • Australia to USA Dip: We accept the offer.
  • Islamic Alliance DFip: We receive you message only able to reply with this in Arabic "Hello [radio breaking up] Hello... This is the Islamic [breaking up] we are based in Iraq and we are asking for [breaking up] we have set up many [radio signal lost] 
  • Jakartan Empire: We ask Australia for an alliance.
    • Australian Dip to Jakarta: We graciously accept, although we would only provide limited support for now.
  • Final Command Dip: General Hudson McCollum received news of the existence of the Australian Confederation, and as supreme commander of the US Military recognize its independence and autonomy. We would like to ask for the same.
• Jakartan Empire: Indonesia has suffered greatly from fallout from other countries, but had limited bombings due to the non-aligned movement (mod approved). However, several islands and cities declared independence, and Indonesia became several tiny states based on different islands. Java is currently in Civil war, with the Jakartan Empire fighting to regain control of the Republic of Semarang and East Java. We fight Semarang, and add conscription for males in certain age groups. Fallout badly affects Jakarta, and we try to find ways to make cleaner water. Sukarno is the President, and Islam is made the official religion.
• Turkey: Turkish scientists re-invent TV, which they use as a messaging system with motion-picture, almost like Skype or Whatsapp. They give two to the tribe in Damascus, one to the one in Aleppo and five to the tribes in Lebanon. We recruit and send 2000 soldiers and settlers to Istanbul and Trebzon to settle and make cities there.
• Greater Patagonia: The government consolidates itself in Montevideo, in an effort to stabilize the near-fragile union of Argentina and Uruguay. Seeing the nuclear devastation in the world, Patagonia offers to open its borders to Western European and North American refugees. Efforts to restore communication lines between Buenos Aires and Montevideo commence. Infrastructure in these cities is strengthened and agriculture in the surrounding areas is increased to provide an adequate food supply to the country. Patagonia expands 15 px west towards Chile. The remaining signal and broadcast towers start to be reworked.

1963 A.D

As the ash and the atomic dust settles, a harsh and cruel nuclear winter manifests over the land. Many perish in the cold and expansion is extremely limited this turn.

Cut-throat raiders step up their attacks against the survivors, desperate to claim supplies and shelter to protect themselves from the haunting cold.

Tensions run high, as a small military unit in Kansas, the Final Command declares its intentions to mutiny from the US Government. President McNamara reaches a non-aggression deal with General McCallum, but how long it will last, nobody knows.

The Mongol Empire continues to expand, the Australian Confederation extends its influence across the continent, rival clans in Britain battle for supremacy, but their greatest enemy is Mother Nature itself. Will humanity's light be finally extinguished?

Can the young survivor states survive their infancy in this cold and terrifying Atomic World?

Welsh Rebellion Front: NOTE: I didn't have time to do the turn last turn because of Christmas and all that, read the 1st part of the history page to find out what happens in that turn. We continue to expand 15 pixels towards Aberswithis, hopefully reuniting it soon from the evil tribes. We continue to recruit more men for the army, we have got a grand total of approximately 1000, roughly half being in the former British Army. We offer and alliance to North England. We also state to the Celts that if they don't attack Wales, then we can be friends. We gather supplies for the upcoming nuclear winter. Thankfully, because of no nukes landing in our present area, al of our infrastructure is nearly fine, with only a little but of fallout coming from the Swansea bomb. Monthly meetings take place in Tenby Hall (a place that doesn't exist in the ATL), everybody in the Welsh Rebelion Front is invited, most turn up. We consider changing our name. We also reach contact with the survivors of the U.S. And we offer them an alliance if they accept us the ruler of Wales, Cornwall and Devon. We build our military. We also welcome immigrants from South Wales and England if the men go in the army, the women stay home and raise a family. We try not to let most people starve.

• Final Command Dip: General Hudson McCollum sent a message to the WRF. As supreme commander of the US military, he officially recognize Thomas Ward as the legitimate ruler of Wales, Cornwall and Sumerset. Of course, a similar gesture from your side would be appreciated.
• USA: As the sole legitimate government of The United States we recognize Thomas Ward as ruler of Wales. We ask that they recognize us as the sole entity with authority over the United States.
  • The Philippine Premier recognises no sole authority over the former United States.
• Northern England: We recognize Wales as independent and their domain over Cornwall but not Somerset because there are no Welsh people there. We suggest they join us in holding back on recognizing the government of the US while we establish which one is legitimate.
• Australian Dip: We recognise Thomas Ward as the legitimate ruler of Wales and its territories.

Final Command: Snow raiders rapidly became a problem for the paramilitary organization. After securing a non-aggression treaty with the Colorado government of McNamara, General McCollum make his move against the raiders. He send his est troops, under the command of Colonel Pratt, to accomplish black ops operations on the raiders' bases, kidnapping their leaders. The leaders captured are then judged in Mrtial Court by Colonel Pratt, who find them all guilty and send them to the firing squad. Without the leaders gone, Final Command move to annexe the raiders territories up north.

On a more domestic level, General McCollum institute a conscription for every man between 18 and 40 years old, saying it is to "protect order and peace in the region". Many new recruits arrive from the cities annexed last year, which allow Final COmmand to gain in strenght. Because of those cities, new supplies begin to arrive at Fort Riley, and production of basic needs for the army create some jobs among the civilians. Plans are made for the annexation of the Kansas City in the following months.

USA After reaching a fragile deal with the so-called "Final Command", we turn our attention to consolidating and expanding the territory under US Government control. However, we are set back after attacks by raiders and brigands, primarily based out of the neighbouring city of Colorado Springs. After fighting off the initial attack we prepare for a major assault to reclaim the settlement of Colorado Springs. 1000 US Troops assault Colorado Springs and retake it from the raiders. Colorado Springs is then incorporated into the United States.

• Afterwards, we use our supplies stored inside Cheyenne Mountain to feed the starving populace of Colorado Springs. We then draft 9,000 of the citizens of Colorado Springs, incorporating them into the rapidly growing US Armed Forces. The rest are put to work rebuilding the town and constructing fortifications. The entire Colorado Springs regions and the outlying military bases are fortified to protect against further assaults from raiders. Colorado Springs becomes a bastion and place of refuge against the harsh nuclear winter and the looming threat of raiders.
• President McNamara and Vice-President Robert Kennedy deliver rousing speeches to the huddled citizens of Colorado Springs, improving their morale and toughening them against the worse and harder trials which lay ahead. The President selects a provisional cabinet from the Military Staff at NORAD and the best and brightest of Colorado Springs. He states elections for a new Congress and President will be held at the latest in 1966, or at such time the Union is restored to its pre-war self.
• Otherwise, we continue to expand our territory and consolidate our hold on Colorado. [Secret: We send spies to Kansas to observe the activities of the Final Command] We continue rebuilding, looking forward to the day mankind can pull itself out of this new dark age and when we can finally rebuild our beloved Union.

• Islamic Alliance: We begin to rebuild madrasas (religious schools), jails, printing machines, TVs and cities affected by the war. Madrasas become very popular because it gives people somewhere to live, eat and learn religion, science, math, Arabic, and history. Hand cranked radios become the TV for now. Seeing a coming Winter we begin to work on stocking up food, water, and everything. We begin to give our people firewood and teach them how to make a fire. Raiders are all sent to a firing squad,unless they give up.We tell the people the winter and Nuclear war was a punishment and test from Allah and who ever help us will pass the test. We send a message to North America [North American players response needed] in Arabic "Hello,hello this is the Islamic Alliance and we are seeing a coming winter and [Radio break up] We are based in Iraq [RADIO BREAK UP] and we fear more hard times will come [Lost Signal]

• • Final Command Dip: The weak signal sent by the Islamic Alliance reached Final Command. A long speech was sent as a reply, expressing how we are the only surviving structure of the US Army. We also try to send them information on the overall situation in the US and we try to learn what we can, but this part of the message is cut by the weak signal between Final Command and the Islamic Alliance. Waiting for news. 
  • USA: "Hello, [static] this is the [static] United States Government. We wish to set up diplomatic... [Static] and we recognize the troubled times which lay ahead. [End Of Transmission]"dangerous threat of the Nuclear Winter which has manifested. We ask you [Static] to recognize us as the sole Government Of the United States Of America and view the so-called "Final Command" as an illegal entity. [Static] May God be with you in these trouble times ahead.
    • I.A Dip: (To USA) "Why should we allie with you [static] when you allied with Zionist, when we fought them for many year?" (To Final Command) "Why should we allie with you an.. [static] what are you political views?" (To both) "We are based in the [Static] Anbar and now into Syria."

On international policy, we take a more isolationist position, as we do not have any goal out of North America, although we are willing to offer political support to any nation willing to recognize us.  
• Alliance of Northern English counties: As food shortages become an issue we send raiders out to take supplies from the north and we make it clear that we have a strict policy on refugees. Slavery is reintroduced and anyone wanting to enter the Northern England must agree to become a slave and it is their masters job to feed them. We send troops to take Penrith. We keep expanding our fallout shelters and fireproofing what we can. We offer to recognize the Final Command as the government of the United States in exchange for food.
  • Final Command Dip: We agree to the deal to send part of our supplies to the ANE, although we are dubious. Didn't you agreed to a deal with McNamara government last year?
    • Alliance of North England: No what we said was that we recognized them as an organization not as the government. We acknowledge they exist as a belligerent party but not as the government of the USA. We are now recognizing you as the legitimate government of the US as we have entered trade relations with the legitimate government of the US. Thank you for the food.
• The Fighters of Buddha: The tough rain forests and hot environment of our region makes it easier for us to endure Nuclear Winter but we start to build underground bases as it may go harder to endure. We send explorer teams to Former Cambodia's capital, Phnom Penh in hopes to find survivors and supplies, we also try to set up a broadcasting tower, to use in both in-group and international. We send mutants and radioactive creatures to special rooms in Angkor Wat, our nurses will do autopsies and learn about them.
• Australian Confederation: We halt expansion as we fear that the Atomic Winter will fall upon our settlements. We begin to stockpile supplies as our citizens resort to nearby Fallout Shelters and bunkers. Refugees flood in as we continue to accept them. Rumours now spread that seven ICBMs hit Sydney but it is Unconfirmed. Raids from the south lessen as the dreaded Atomic Winter takes a toll on the raiders, but raids from the North escalate so much that there are as many as 1000 (approx) casualties for the Northern raiders. Raids also appear on the east as pirates raid the east coast, but most fail miserably. However, there are no raids in the west due to the rough terrain. We build small tunnels from our Military bases to our borders and outposts to ease mobility during the Atomic Winter. We send this radio transmission to the nearby tribes and clans in Australia: "This is the Australian Confederation [STATIC] we will accept anybody, as long they don't do any harm [STATIC] please visit our outposts at Port Macquarie, Armidale or Coffs Harbour [STATIC] we have Fallout shelters and Bunkers [STATIC] After the winter, we will accept any clan or tribes to join our Confeder- [STATIC] May God guide you to survival, Thank you. [SIGNAL LOST]"

• Chinese Empire: Economy, infrastructure and military improve and supplies are produced or discovered. With collapse of People's Republic of China due to nuclear war, more Chinese tribes are formed. But this time the Chinese Empire, with Hui Xuang as first emperor, is recreated and took ideas from the former Qing Empire. The glorious empire begins to rebuild everything all that has been destroyed by nukes and remove Fallout winter from green healthy farms by warming up with firewood. Population continues to grow by finding as scouts survivors to join unified Chinese people. Wuhan has been selected as capital city, as might rebuild this wonderful city. More houses, cultural and public buildings, markets, shops and mining plants are rebuilt. Roads, railroads and farms are rebuilt or improved and cities continue to rebuild and grow. Education is improved and more educational buildings are rebuilt. Broadcast towers are built or rebuilt to spread propaganda across surrounding areas to contact with remaining Chinese survivors, tribes and clans on radio and TVs and then joining the Chinese Empire as citizens much easier. Territory continues to expend to include the surrounding areas really fast. Firewood are now free for use of warming in houses and continues to find many bunkers to include more Chinese survivors or building bunkers underground to survive the harsh winter. Emperor Hui Xuang continues to plan new reforms for China and continues investing heavily in technology and science.
• Kingdom of the Philippines: The Philippines rapidly expands into Palawan. In addition, the Philippines plans to expand into Visayas within the next months. There is heavy emphasis on economic autarky and self-sufficiency, outdated farming methods are removed from use and newer ones like hydroponics become widespread. There is also heavy emphasis on human capital, including education and more. The Philippine economy begins to experience rapid domestic consumption-led industrial growth motivated by the ambitions of militarily-dominating the Southeast Asian region. Huge, family-owned business conglomerates rapidly grow and expand. Infrastructure is improved and modern technologies are introduced to improve productivity per worker.
• The People's Republic of Siberia: Attempts to make contact with the outside world continue, as we have already established contact with our predecessor's former enemy: the United States, but despite that, no transmissions have been received from elsewhere on the planet. However, our forces continue to gain territory after territory, but not before we run into an organised group of what we believe are nomadic tribes (this implies contact with a possible organised group close to Siberia). Meanwhile, reconstruction our infrastructure continue and agricultural efforts begin to compensate for our lack of food supplies. We begin expansion East and South of Novokuznetsk and continue our current efforts to expand into the surrounding area. 

• Caribbean Union: What remains of the Cuban remnant is overthrown in a coup in the worst of the winter. The new "President" attempts to expand and push out of Havana into other areas, without much success (just to clarify, was Havana nuked or no?). the name of the new nation clearly states the President's ultimate goal, to unify the Caribbeans in these hard times. We send a transmission to the Americas, not knowing who will respond, but attempt to verify what happened to our northern neighbor. The transmission is as follows: "Greetings, Americans! • United Kingdom of the Celts: We refuse to recognise the Welsh Liberation Front, and we begin to send our armed forces to Wales in order to re-conquer it. The plan is known as Operation Pendragon, and we plan to send a majority of our troops to their territory in Wales by transport ships and we'll use blitzkrieg tactics to quickly invade the land. In terms of internal affairs, we begin to push into central Ireland and Cornwall by offering vassalization to the local Celtic tribes. We also offer an alliance to Munster. • Republic of New Zealand: After some of the more concerns that could come from Nuclear Winter, we expand 15 px to north. Also some food shortages believed to be constant raids from tribes and nuclear winter, as that might be worry for most of the NZ people. Keith says there's nothing much left to do with the food shortages, as he believes it'll be bad because of nuclear winter, while it faces the fallout.

• Alliance of the Scottish Isles: Orkney and the Shetlands have joined together to try to simply support each other in the aftermath of the nuclear war. Their distance from the majority of the major cities of the old Kingdom has spared them from most devastation and radiation but supplies are low and so with a loose structure under Reverend Drummond they've begun to send men to land in northern Scotland to find food stores. Most work is focused inward towards new fishing vessels for simple survival. As of yet we have no knowledge of events in the majority of the United Kingdom and are working to find a sufficient radio transmitter.

1963.5 A.D

The bitter nuclear winter has lifted from the land, expansion, travel and trade are now much easier. However, the post-atomic horror still continues, mutant beasts roam the land, preying on those weakest, whilst raiders step up their game with the milder weather.

Meanwhile, a new group emerges, those calling themselves the Simpletons. In a large backlash against the technology which had destroyed the world, they wander the land, murdering intellectuals and destroying pre-war technology. Several groups have formed to combat these barbarians, however, they are outnumbered greatly. It is up to the so-called governments of the land to maintain stability and aid the protection of pre-war artifacts.

In the British Isles, the brave soldiers of the Welsh Rebellion Front fend off an assault by the Kingdom of Celts. However, the Welsh suspect the threat from Ireland is not over. In Kansas, the Final Command suspects that there are spies in their midst, as several pieces of military equipment have been sabotaged. The United States continues to expand throughout Colorado. Several new nations have also developed since the end of the nuclear winter, and more war might be coming to the land.

War, radiation and death. Can the young nations brave out the Humanity's greatest battle and survive the post-nuclear horror? Will this time be remembered as Mankind's finest hour or shall they go quietly into the night, in this brutal Atomic World?

• Fighters of Buddha: We started frequent patrols around our border which are supposed to keep Simpletons out. As our gatherers come back with great supplies from Phnom Penh, we start to get an army together to capture Phnom Penh in the year of 1964. We set up our first broadcasting tower in Angkor Wat and sent shortwave signals to meet any survivors around. [Oceanian players' response needed] We're trying to found a treatment plant for clean water. We recruit combat medics. We continue expanding.
• Philippine National Union: We begin to construct a treatment plant to clean the water from the main dam in Cebu City. Meanwhile, exploration parties are set out to make contact with the surrounding islands (Note: the island province of Cebu is the core territory of the regime.) One of the expedition parties reached Bohol, and the local governor of the province, together with the local police and military chiefs, pledge allegiance to the new regime. So was in Negros, Panay and Leyte. Meanwhile, we began to raise an army by drafting young males age 16 and above. A treasure trove has been found upon discoveries of local arsenals with weapons such as rifles, useful for the impending conflict with the Antipolo regime. TV towers were also restored. As a first line of defense against Antipolo's attack a naval blockade is set up on the northern seaboard of Cebu, Aklan and Negros, augmented by massing of troops in Northern Cebu, Aklan, and Northern Negros.

Long-range communications infrastructure is restored and used to communicate with surviving regimes. The Philippines invades the Cebu-based regime and bans all leftist, intolerant, extremist, Fascist and nationalist ideologies.
  • Siberian Diplomacy: We request that both governments of the Philippines step down and place a transitional government in control of the archipelago, which will then host elections after a period of time decided by the parties agreeing to this. 
  • USA: We support the Siberian proposal. 
  • Australian Dip: We support the Siberian proposal as we fear that conflict between the two nations will result to all out war.
  • José Marocs refuses to accept the Siberian proposal due to the Fascist, intolerant and nationalist nature of our southern brethren.
• Caribbean Union: We accept all the alliance proposals sent to us, and continue broadcasting to make contact with survivors. We recognize the USA as the sole legitimate government but question why they need it. We expand and take up as much of Cuba as we can, attempted landings in Haiti are unsuccessful.
• United Kingdom of the Celts: Following our failed invasion of Wales, we send the rest of our troops back to Ireland. We begin supporting Celtic nationalist groups in Wales, and we begin giving them our military supplies. We continue to refuse to recognise the Welsh Liberation Front as a legitimate government.
• Republic of New Zealand: Following the nuclear winter that has been lifted, the food shortages is still the problem in this world. So far more concerns about post-atomic horror that it continues with some various mutant beasts roaming the land. We continue to recruit more troops as much as possible. We still expand 15 px to the north.
  • USA: We offer New Zealand an alliance with us.
  • Australian Dip: We will send a helicopter full of food for exchange of military equipment and firearms.
  • New Zealand Dip: We accept an alliance with USA.
• People's Republic of Siberia: As we run into more groups, our military finally encounters an enemy more organised than what we have seen: the Mongols. [Moderator Response on this regard, please] As we continue our expansion, the situation is not going well in the region and much less with the recently encountered Mongols. We begin to send some our generals farther north as the winter calms on military campaigns to conquer the nearby lawless zones to absorb them into Siberia. As a result of our confrontation with the Mongols, we officially begin to declare them and any affiliates with them as enemies of Siberia. We continue improving infrastructure, and agricultural assets and begin technological investments. Contact with the two Philippines is sent, asking for both governments to step down and requests the placement of a transitional government in the Philippines. 
• New California Republic: The votes are in and the five cities of Sierra City, Reno, Meadow Valley, Quincy (Capital), and Wilford become the first five states of the New California Republic. We establish a small army draft too secure land and create an army, establish industry, and taxes across the states. Scouts spread across our newly formed borders to check for raider bases or tribes.  
• Islamic Alliance: We begin to rebuild madrasas (religious schools), jails, printing machines, TVs and cities affected by the war. Madrasas become very popular because they gives people somewhere to live, eat and learn religion, science, math, Arabic, and history. Hand cranked radios become the TV for now. We begin to set up Water purification areas where people come to clean their water and learn more about radiation animals begin to be domesticated and some are killed for food. Our militias and ex-military begin to organize and train each other under command of our Malik, while they are sent to madrasas to know why they're fighting. We begin to send troops to Syria, Iraq and Jordan to the town of Deir ez-Zur, Tikrit, Arar, Samarra, and Ad Dumayr. we begin to work on stocking up food, water an everything. Raiders are all sent to a firing squad, unless they give up. We tell the people the winter and Nuclear war was a punishment and test from Allah and who ever help us will pass the test. Seeing groups of people (simpletons) on war against pre war tech we have imams and sheikhs declare a fatwa against them, any one found in these groups will be sent to jail. We begin an assault on Damascus, Arar and Ar Raqqah. We begin to work on the quickest way of killing the new mutants, by studying them.We find two American journalists hiding in a Baghdad hotel close to death, we hospitalize them not sure what to do with them our Malik say "we'll keep them until they're healed." We begin to work on set up trade routes across our land sending this to anyone to Asia, North Africa, Europe [player response needed].

• USA: With the end of the harsh Nuclear Winter, we get to work restoring the city of Colorado Springs. In the meantime, we expand 15 px north towards Denver. We send scouting parties north, south, east and west to chart out the land across Colorado, as far as the state border. Also, messengers are sent on a long and harsh journey to the East Coast, to spread the news that the US still exists. However, we do not send any scouts beyond the demarkation line at the Kansas-Colorado Border, to avoid breaching the treaty. (SECRET: Our spies evacuate Final Command territory before they are discovered, they report back to us vital information on the Final Command). Meanwhile, we send platoons of our 10,000 strong force out to patrol the wastes and aid survivors and guide them back to secure United States territory. The President enacts a harsh policy on raiders, ordering troops to kill on sight. The President also issues an executive order, declaring those affiliated Simpletons to be a criminals and issuing a warrant for their arrest. As we attempt to quell the violence in the wastes, we encounter monk of the Albertian Order Of St. Leibowitz, a group nominally affiliated with the Catholic Church. We vow to offer whatever support to their order, but we cannot do much at the moment, as the order is located far south in New Mexico. We continue to upgrade our infrastructure, train our populace in combat, expand our territory and population and re-establish contact with the outside world.

• Welsh Rebellion Front: We continue to expand 50 pix, hopefully reuniting it soon from the evil tribes. We continue to recruit more men for the army, we have got a grand total of approximately 1000, roughly half being in the former British Army. We gather supplies for the upcoming nuclear survival. Thankfully, because of no nukes landing in our present area, al of our infrastructure is nearly fine, with only a little bit of fallout coming from the Swansea bomb. We consider changing our name to the 'Welsh Republic' of the 'Welsh Federation'. We offer to the people of South Wales to peacefully join us and live a rich and peaceful life. (Mod response needed). We also reach contact with the survivors of the U.S, we would like First Command and the U.S. To give us food. We offer them a temporary alliance with anybody if they accept us the ruler of Wales, Cornwall and Devon. We demand that the Celts give us reparation for their invasion of Wales and also give us four airplanes and one tank. We also say that we need some money for the infrastucture that they damaged when they were here. We build our military. We also welcome immigrants from South England and Wales if the men go in the army, the women stay home and raise a family. Many people immigrate to us for a better life and not sicknes. We try not to let most people starve. We begin to rebuild from the Celtic Invasion of Wales, rebuilding towns and Tenby (which they destroyed when they was here), the capital is moved to Haverfordwest Tiperary. Meetings are held in Havardwest Hall now. We begin building memorials in all the towns in our country, with 4000 flowers to represent how many Weslg soldiers died protecting us.

  • Celtic Dip: We refuse to give the Welsh pretenders reparations, and we continue to militarily fund Celtic nationalists within their territory.

• Final Command: With the Snow Raiders problem dealt with, General McCollum can finally move to his main objective: the annexation of Kansas City (or what's left of it). Being one of the biggest cities in the region before the Nukes, it could be turn into a symbol of Final Command's power in the States. Although the 1st Infantry Division possessed an Artillery Brigade, it isuse for defenses purposes only. And the road to Kansas City is long. Under the supervision of Lt. Colonel Cohen, numerous motorcycles are salvaged or taken in order to be used as transportation for the military. A third of the forces of Final Command are send under Lt. Colonel Cohen command to annex Kansas City, most of them going on bikes. Kansas City is annexed.
  • News came that some spies from McNamara could have join Final Command through the conscription with fake papers, although a search provide no final evidence of spies. And sadly, the spy network of Final Command is a mess, unable to get vital information on McNamara's administration. However, news from travelers teling that the McNamara is sending messages up West to tell of the survival of the USA. General McCollum decide to do the same, sending messengers in the East to spread the survival of the US Military. Final Command also continue to recruit new soldiers and to rebuild te cities under its control.

• Union of Tuvalu and the Cook Isles: We notice some people who hate technology,we decide to arrest these enemies of technology. We hope to gain control of Tuvalu and the rest of the Cook Islands. We expand seven pixels to the west and four pixels to the east. We attempt to contact more survivors near us.

• Cascadian Conglomerate: After much struggle on Vancouver Island a hegemony is established by a pseudo-Fascist aristocratic organization that united the island. As the prime objective of the newly-formed Conglomerate is survival, many farms and greenhouses are set up on the newly-unified island and the government begins to subsidize sheep farmers to an extent, as the Archduke wants to ensure that the populace has a variety of warm clothing made from wool. The general stance on the Conglomerate is that any God that may have existed before the nuclear catastrophe had forsaken humanity, and subsequently all pre-war houses of worship are taxed heavily. Scavengers and hunting parties alike are sent throughout Vancouver Bay, particularly to the ruins of Vancouver and Seattle to scavenge technology and food, as well as to bring back any willing survivors. A type of legion system is organize in the military, with each of the currently-three legions having regular equipment as dictated by their respective Legate. However, the Archduke also creates his own personal army that answers solely to the executive branch as to prevent any type of coup or large power struggle. As technology is hoarded it is hoped that within the coming year contact with the outside world could be established.

• Australian Confederation: Seeing as how the nuclear winter have been lifted, we expand North seven px and West eight px. Our population is boosted due to the amount of refugees who came due to or bunkers and fallout shelters from the Nuclear Winter. We send diplomats to the Grafton, Tamworth and Orange tribes to form an alliance and if possible, try to accept them to the Confederation (Mod Response needed). The deserted city of Cessnock is annexed but soldiers struggled to annex the city due to the Simpletons. Some soldiers are traumatised due to to the Simpletons. We mobilise troops to the border to keep out from continuous Simpleton raids and attacks. Finding a simpleton Camp nearby our border we conduct a full blitzkrieg of the camp. As we discover a radio dish in Cessnock, attempts to contact the outside world is resumed. (Player response needed). Economy and infrastructure is improved and infrastructure are continuously built.

We improve our military, and use conscription to fight the forces. We invest in schools, and spread propaganda which favors social order.
  • Mod Response: Republic of Semarang joins your empire but turns out that the space between Jakarta and Semarang is occupied by the Simpletons.
• Alliance of Northern English counties: We offer coal, lead and zinc to anyone in exchange for industrial machinery to anyone. We push up into Scotland and take everything south of Edinburgh and Glasgow while we keep a stern policy on refugees. Simpletons are shot on sight while at Whitehaven we start constructing a mostly timber based fleet using our limited resources.
• The Alliance of the Scottish Isles: With food storage now under control we begin to gather men and start taking over the North of Scotland aiming towards Inverness. Five ships also head to the Outer Hebredes to see how the populace there are doing and whether they would join this temporary alliance. (Mod Response needed). Outside of the Reverends influence a small group of fishermen begin raiding parties on the farther south parts of Scotland for resources. Finally we also salvage a small radio and begin sending a small localized signal to determine what other groups have survived down south in the United Kingdom. (British Isles players' response needed)
  • Mod Response: People of the Outer Hebrides seem divided, Isles of Lewis and Harris join the alliance but the others refuse. Turns out that the Island of Barra is occupied by the Simpletons, they attack your ship.
  • Welsh Rebellion Front: We contact the Alliance of the Scottish Isles but do not wish for an alliance just yet. We tell them we claim all of Wales, Devon and Cornwall.

1964 A.D

2 years have passed since the end of the Era Of Greed in destructive Atomic fire. Many more nations have already risen up from the ashes. In the western Americas lies the Cascadian Conglomerate and the Legion. In the east lies the two Philippines, and the empire of Jakarta. With new nations being forged and civilization slowly rebuilding, war has also returned to the land. Violence engulfs the British Isles between the rival clans, while the two Filipino states are on the brink of war. Even in America, the tolerance for each other between the USA and Final Command grows thin. As the world threatens to throw itself into war once again, raiders and Simpletons multiply as disorder and chaos reigns supreme in the Unclaimed Lands. A new generation of settlers makes their way west, just as they did a century ago, to escape the radioactive fallout and devastation and begin a new life. These settlers are drawn by rumours of the survival of the United States and the reconstruction of civilization out West. These settlers begin moving en masse from the ruins of New York, Washington D.C and Boston on the eastern seaboard, to the lands of Colorado, Nevada and the West. Roaming Mercenaries are also drawn by rumours of the US Military's survival. Many seeking adventure and riches head to Kansas City, seeking employment at the hands of the ambitious Final Command.

Simpletons continue their crusade against technology, groups such as the Order of Leibowitz attempt to preserve pre-war knowledge, safe from the roaming Mobs of the wastes. However, the Simpletons are facing set backs as the new Governments attempt to enforce the law on the criminals of the Unclaimed Lands.

The two American Journalists in Baghdad awake. However, when questioned they avoid giving a clear answer. The nature of these two men and the reason that they were in Iraq remains mysterious. Some Baghdad residents spread rumours that they may be members of the CIA. Clashes break out between soldiers of the Philippine Nation Union and the Kingdom of the Philippines. It was reported that monarchist troops opened fire on Regime forces who were a part of the Blockade. Many on both sides scream for war and vengeance. It is up to the embattled leaders, however, to prevent the Philippines from collapsing into all war and anarchy. Radioactive Fallout spreads throughout the world as a result of the War of 1962. Radiation soon blankets the world, as many sources of water are now partially irradiated. The survivors must be wary of the spreading radiation.

Celtic fanatics start a rebellion in the South Wales, where they get the weapons from is unknown but predictable.

Radiation spreads, survivors resort to war against their fellow man, settlers head west for new hope, mobs pillage the land. With a new era in human history dawning, could it be man's last one? With all these new threats emerging, how will the brave survivors handle this new Atomic World?

• Kingdom of the Philippines (North Philippines): North Philippines Philippines rapidly expands into the island of Mindoro. In addition, the Philippines expands into Samar (to counter the illegitimate Cebu-based regime) and Palawan. A foreign policy of interventionism and expansionism is implemented. There is heavy emphasis on economic autarky and self-sufficiency, outdated farming methods are removed from use and newer ones like hydroponics become widespread. Land all owned by commoners are redistributed. Water desalination and purification plants are built in coastal provinces. There is also heavy emphasis on human capital, including education and more, creating a highly disciplined labour force of mostly skilled labourers. The Philippine economy continues to experience rapid domestic consumption-led industrial growth motivated by the ambitions of militarily-dominating the Southeast Asian region. The economy further monopolises as huge, family-owned business conglomerates rapidly grow and expand, dominating the domestic market and outcompeting smaller businesses. Urban infrastructure is improved and modern technologies (such as automation systems) are introduced into outdated facilities to improve productivity per worker. Long-range communications infrastructure is restored and used to communicate with surviving regimes. Using our 3-times higher per capita income, and higher industrial capabilities, the Antipolo-based invades the Cebu-based regime and bans all leftist, intolerant, extremist, Fascist and nationalist ideologies to quell any opposition.

• Philippine National Union: Just like the Kingdom, we also start our own economic progran. To increase food production, and decongest major cities, many slum residents, or squatters, were relocated to the idle countryside. Agrarian reform continues, and the 'business aristocracy' begins to be dismantled by nationalizing the biggest surviving corporations, and stop conversion of farmland into luxury resorts, and to decrease poverty, trying to usher in an era of a larger and more successful middle class. We immediately implement these plans, and poverty begins to slowly decrease. Most of the decrease in poverty is due to new jobs created in the construction and industrial sectors, as well as other more white collar jobs, as Cebu was spared from the nuclear attack, and surviving industrial machines were used as a template for making new equipment and eventually modernising. We also decry the attack by the Kingdom and declared that they had lost respect to our territorial integrity. We also begin constructing new factories to support a growing economy and an impeding war. A new aircraft factory has been constructed to supplant our air force, and tanks for our armoured corps.
• New California Republic: As our overall success continues, our military strength has grown and we have to ability to expand. We continue to receive traders from a road we patrol to Meadow Valley. After many scouting reports, we find out about a bay town on a lake. We mobilize our army west to occupy the lake and get a bigger holding in the western wastes. After annexing the area, the town of Buckington agrees to join our federation growing our states to six. We receive a foot hold in the east wastes and start a military operation to continue our push into the west.
• The Union of Florida: Our nation starts to rebuild all the damaged infrastructure in our nation. Ports are being rebuild so that we can send ships out to start fishing for food we need. Farmers start using the land to grow food again. The military of the nation starts to recruit people to go on missions up north to see what is left of the west and northern part of Florida. Fort Myers has the largest military base in the nation. Our capital city is made Orlando. Steven Rubio is made president after C. Farris Bryant is killed by an assassination attempt. New jobs are being mad slowly so that we can kick start our economy. Factories are being made so people can have jobs. A new constitution is made, just like the US one.
• United Kingdom of the Celts: We continue to fund Celtic nationalists in southern Wales. We also continue to expand into Irish territory, and we begin to improve our infrastructure in Dublin. Our Taoiseach, Donald MacMahon is re-elected and continues his controversial policies of nationalizing health care, social security, and education.
• Republic of New Zealand: We continue to recruit more troops, while nuclear winter has been lifted. Population grows in at Wellington, but accordingly, most few of them. Some of our ports are building for cargo ships and battleships. We expand 15 px north.
• Chola Empire: After the devastating atomic war, A man who descends from the greatest Tamil dynasty emerges as Erajaraja Cholan declares that he will lead his people to victory. We continue to expand our influence south but do not outwardly show signs of any technology we have to help workout the levels of Simpletons within Scotland.   • Australian Dip: We humbly accept your offers. We send you information that the USA still exists and that the American continent is in a mess. There is a new successor state of the USSR, The People's Republic of Siberia. The British Isles is also in a mess, as war between the Celts and the Welsh just began.
• Cascadian Conglomerate: The Archduke's policy of importing and encouraging sheep farming has so far been a success, with many of the citizens now well clothed. However, food is on short supply and so several hunting camps and small settlements have been founded around Vancouver Bay and Graham Island. The Archduke orders for a crown-owned fishing fleet to be constructed. Radio communication is established in a short range through most of the West Coast and parts of the Pacific. The Olympic Peninsula is completely annexed, and though a populace to completely colonize it hasn't arrived, a legion is dispatched to keep the entire area secure and free of raiders. Scavengers continue to be sent out to retrieve food, information and old technology for the Conglomerate, and freelance scavengers are paid well for anything valuable they bring.
  • Cascadian Diplomacy: Contact is made with the Order of Leibowitz and they are offered a save haven within the Olympic Mountains to establish a base of operations under the pretense that they follow Crown Law and share technology with the Conglomerate [Mod Response].
  • Mod Response: The Order of Leibowitz sends a message via radio about how generous that offer is but also say that going from Arizona and New Mexico (where they are settled) all the way up to Olympic Mountains is quite hard in these conditions but they look forward.
• Greater Patagonia: the President formally announces a claim to all of the Patagonian Peninsula, Chile, and Paraguay as part of the nation. To prove his point, he orders the armed forces to occupy areas 15 px west into Chile, in an effort to reclaim a Pacific Coast. Farms are collectivized and given to families to ensure efficiency, with the government providing them the necessary equipment and fertilizer to do so. Pastures, long a source of Argentina's food supply, are regulated and developed upon to feed the populace. The military enforces conscription to raise the army to 100,000 men. Communications between Buenos Aires and Montevideo are restored, while telephone and electricity lines beging to spread outward into neighboring communities, towns and cities to bring all of Patagonia out of the information blackout.
• New Hawaiian Republic: Having survived the Nuclear Winter of 1963, Hawaii emerges like a phoenix-reborn. The Hawaiian people are banded together-united in their common struggle of survival- and Hawaii can survive- for her vegetation is lush, and her people are hard working. With news of the destruction of the United States, The state of Hawaii declares herself independent-as the New Hawaiian Republic- with the great shining city of Honolulu former governor, and hero of the Hawaiian people- John A. Burns as our first President. The land reforms that President Burns was instrumental in implementing against the Big Five Oilgopy and their Republican political cronies continue. As such, President Burns continues to fight for the common people and increases the minimum wage and worker rights. President Burns also sends the Hawaiian army to annex Naval Station Pearl Harbor. Since the USA is presumed collapse, Naval Station Pearl Harbor is now under Hawaiian control and the United States Pacific Fleet becomes the New Hawaiian Republic Pacific Fleet. Now that Hawaii is no longer under federal rule- President Burns also repeals the Merchant Marine Act of 1920- which used to cause foreign ships to skip Honolulu’s ports in favor of ports on the west coast of mainland United States. Instead President Burns and the Hawaiian Congress open our ports-especially Honolulu-to foreigners to trade, tour and settle. President Burns and the Hawaiian Congress also make Hawaiian pamphlets depicting Hawaii as a land of peace and prosperity- where all can come and make a new life- as long as they are willing to be peaceful in Hawaii. Domestically, President Burns and the Hawaiian Congress create incentives for small businesses to start up and a national campaign is put to encouraging start ups- including giving  entrepreneurs the capital to start up new businesses. We also give subsidies to agriculture, and invest in massive public works projects, such as the University of Hawaii (and other public schools), the Honolulu International Airport, and the Hawaiian Navy. Meanwhile, the NHR attempts to make contact with neighboring civilizations, hoping to trade and attract tourists.    
• New California Republic: We push our forces west, but run into heavy raider activity so we fortify our forces in the west. We then send battalions down a highway from Bucks lake and encounter another lake in the area. The lake is heavily populated by tribes. We send rangers down a "stream" connected to the lake only to find a great river going in many directions. Too secure the lake and river, we keep our battalions in the area and create Camp Madrone (named after the lake). The tribes are enraged by our presence and declare war with us. We easily push back the tribes and continue our Madrone Campaign. We push our forces down the river and create another makeshift camp. This camp becomes a harbor and trading post and volunteer ranger scouts agree to traverse down the river.    
• The Australian Confederation: We discover that our diplomat to Grafton was murdered, we initiate "Operation Gift", which is retaliation for our killed diplomat. We will capture and annex Grafton using blitzkrieg and possibly, exile the leaders of the Simpletons, but we will spare the innocent civilians (Just to clarify, does me or the mod decide the outcome of the conflict of a non-player civilization or do I need to the war algo for this). We propose a trade agreement to New Zealand, which we will trade food for military equipment. We send diplomats to the Bourke, Broken Hill and Dubbo tribes (Mod needed). We begin to recruit more men and women to the army as the Simpleton threat grows. Raids from other tribes (who are not sided with the Simpletons) are nearly devoid as more and more Simpleton raids begin. Infrastructure is improved and built, Economy grows due to the recent population boost and Agarian reform laws are passed. Even though this might affect our diplomatic relations with the USA, we plan to use socialist laws. We encourage the population racial equality as a limited minority of Aboriginal refugees come. We continue to recruit more men for the army, we have got a grand total of approximately 1000, roughly half being in the former British Army. We gather supplies for the nuclear survival. We begin planning a massive wall on the outskirts of Cardiff and Swansea, this means that no immigrants wonders into Swansea and Cardiff and get themselves ill. We consider changing our name to the 'Welsh Republic' of the 'Welsh Federation'. We offer to the people of North Wales to peacefully join us and live a rich and peaceful life. (Mod response needed). We also reach contact with the survivors of the U.S, we would like First Comand and the U.S. To give us food. We offer them a temperary alliance with anybody if they accept us the ruler of Wales, Cornwall and Devon. We begin aiding nationalist movements in the UKOTC. We build our military. We also welcome immigrants from South England and Wales if the men go in the army, the women stay home and raise a family. Many people immigrate to us for a better life and not sickness. We try not to let most people starve. We begin to rebuild from the Celtic Invasion of Wales, rebuilding towns and Tenby (which they destroyed when the a Celts were here), the capital is moved to Haverfordwest teperary. Meetings are held in Havardwest Hall now. We begin building remorials in all the towns in our country, with 4,000 flowers to represent how many Welsh soldiers died protecting us. We crush the Celtic rebellion in South Wales with all our might. We make a colony in Devon, which is only one pixel. We build a port there. We hope that we can colonise South when weve conquered Wales.

• USA: As a new year dawns, the American people continue as strong and as resilient as they have ever been. The reconstruction of Colorado Springs continues in earnest, as many begin moving back into the city. The settlers migrating across the Colorado Trail are astonished to find the United States continuing as strong as ever. President McNamara in his famous Cheyenne Address, speaks to the thousands of travellers camped outside Colorado Springs and states how with their help, America will be a great nation once again. We expand 15 px north and annex Denver. 15,000 more are recruited into the army, and our greatest craftsmen get to work restoring pre-war tanks and aircraft, as well as making new weapons. The United States Armed Forces now consist of 25,000 soldiers, 35 M103 heavy tanks, 75 M48 Patton medium tanks, 50 M113 Armored Personnel Carriers, 15 A-4 Skyhawks, 25 UH-1 Iroquois ("Huey") Transport Helicopters, five CH-47 transport helicopters and one SH-3 Sea King to serve as the Presidential Helicopter and one 707 jet recovered from Denver International to serve as the Presidential Plane, (Air Force One) We continue to train our armed forces in both counter-insurgency warfare and conventional warfare, to keep the peace in the Wasteland and to deal with the Final Command threat respectively. Our population now numbers 75,000 and we control most of central Colorado, from Colorado Springs to Denver. However, we face a new threat, the growing radiation. We set at work attempting to clean the irradiated water supply with desalination techniques. We also deal with the Simpleton threat by creating a new military division, the US Army Rangers , which consists of 1000 of our most well trained troops. These troops, inserted by UH-1, can be deployed throughout Colorado to keep the peace and enforce order. A platoon of 100 Rangers is also sent south to New Mexico to guard the Monastery of the Albertian Order Of St. Leibowitz. We with our communications facility at Cheyenne Mountain up and running again, we attempt to send out a signal globally and attempt to establish contact with other nations worldwide as well as gain contact with any Military Units which survived the war. (PLAYER RESPONSE NEEDED) We continue to expand, rebuild and maintain order until the day we can once again become a Superpower.

• Cascadian Conglomerate: Expansion continues; Graham Island is annexed along with the Alexander Achipelago, and a 4x4 px colony is established in Seattle. Scouting parties are sent as far north as Anchorage and as far south as Northern California, where many survivors are picked up and are given free transit back to the Conglomerate, most of them given free tracts of land in the Olympian Mountains and in homesteads around Vancouver Bay. With the success of Kansas City anexation, the idea of creating a special force using bikes is put in motion by Lt. Col. Cohen. During that time, the General supervise the annexation of new territories (expand 15 px west). Many new job are created,and Kansas City rapidly turn into the economic center of Final Command.

• United Kingdom of the Celts: Throughout the week of 9-14 August 1964 in Dublin, multiple groups of young adults peacefully protest near the Capitol building due to poverty issues, an extreme minimum wage gap between men and women, and most importantly the current war against Wales. On 14 August, a group of protesters clash with police officers, causing the officers to violently attack the crowd with tear gas, rubber bullets, and guard dogs. Five people are killed and over twenty people are injured in the incident, with it being known as the "Breaking Point", as this event leads to widespread looting and violent protests across the slums of Dublin, and clashes with the local police force becomes commonplace. After a few months of this occuring, Taoiseach Donald MacMahon is forced to resign from his office by King Neill II after multiple death threats were to sent to the King that were traced back to MacMahon's administration. In his replacement, Minister of State Sean Kelly was unanimously elected as the new Taoiseach of the Celts. We immediately begin to end any form of funding with the Celtic nationalists in Wales, and we send an official apology to the Welsh government for any military actions we have sent against them. We officially recognise the Welsh as an independent state, and we offer to sign a treaty with the Welsh government in Dublin to officially establish relations with the country. We offer an alliance to the Northern Counties in England and with the Alliance of the Scottish Isles. In terms of internal affairs, we begin improving our infrastructure and we offer vassalage to Celtic chiefs in Northern Ireland.

Due to the decree, persecution of Simpletons, orchestrated by GN Chief Claudio Carranza, has begun. Meanwhile, with the Kingdom's incursion to our territory a force 8000 soldiers deployed from the Core Territory plus 12,000 local fighters loyal to the regime in Leyte marches to the San Juanico bridge to block Kingdom expansion. Our naval blockade holds, albeit a slight reverse. Meanwhile, a high ranking official named Angelo Briones secretly slipped out on Lahug Airport and flies incognito to Calamba to arrange negotiations, at Valento's expense. SECRET: With growing desperation a contact was made with the Jakartan Empire and the First Order of Japan to help them destroy the Kingdom, a future threat to Jakarta due to expansionist policies.

• Welsh Rebellion Front: We begin an invasion of North Devon, hopefully expanding 50 pixels in the next six months, hopefully reuniting it soon from the evil tribes. We shoot the Simpletons at first sight when we see them in North Wales and Devon. We have troops patrolling the North Devon port at night, hoping to fend of the raiders. We continue to recruit more men for the army, we have got a grand total of approximately 2500, roughly a third being in the former British Army. We gather supplies for the nuclear survival. We continue planning a massive wall on the outskirts of Cardiff and Swansea, this means that no immigrants wonders into the ruins of Swansea and Cardiff and get themselves ill and eventualy died. We seriously consider changing our name to the 'Welsh Republic' of the 'Welsh Federation'. We might change it next year. We offer to the people of Central Wales to peacefully join us and live a rich and peaceful life. We hope that we can colonise South when weve conquered Wales. We accept an alliance with the UKOTC, with pressure of the Welsh people. We stop nationalist movemeets in the Celts if they help us rebuild the cities they destroyed in their invasion and the rebellion. Thomas Ward makes a speech on the radio about the last two years being hard for the Welsh but the future will be bright.

More houses, cultural and public buildings, markets, shops, factories and mining plants are rebuilt. Roads, railroads and farms are rebuilt or improved and cities continue to rebuild and grow. About ten cities, including its capital city, are fully rebuilt. Education is improved and more educational buildings are rebuilt. Broadcast towers are built or rebuilt to spread propaganda across surrounding areas to contact with remaining Chinese survivors, tribes and clans on radio and TVs and then joining the Chinese Empire as citizens much easier. China continues to expend 15 px south and the Chinese Empire now includes provinces all way eastward to Zhejiang and its eastern coast. Emperor Hui Xuang continues to plan new reforms for China and continues investing heavily in technology and science.

President McNamara also announces that those wishing for political office may file for candidacy next year, in the run up to the 1966 election. Water Desalination devices also begin distribution as the radioactive fallout worsens. To spread the word of the survival of the United States, we set up the Radio Free America radio station to broadcast news about the reconstruction of the United States and offer survival advice to those in the wasteland. Our nation continues to rebuild, as our powerful army patrols the plains.

A new year dawns, with it brings fresh hope, and even graver threats.

Tension and intrigue ensues with the discovery of two alleged CIA agents in Baghdad. In a post-atomic world, shall the rule of law prevail, or the law of the jungle?

Simpletons and raiders still hold their iron grip over the Wastelands of the world, but the soldiers of the survivor states and the assistance of groups such as the Albertian Order of St. Leibowitz are helping reclaim the land from the vile thieves and warlords which currently reside in it.

In Rome, the Roman Catholic Church has reformed, establishing New Rome. The reformed College of Cardinals picks Peter II as the new Pope. He demands allegiance of Catholics worldwide to follow his lead in the wake of the nuclear holocaust.

Chola Empire: After the devastating atomic war, a man who descends from the greatest Tamil dynasty emerges as Erajaraja Cholan declares that he will lead his people to victory. The glory of the original empire. We inspire nationalistic Tamils who in the large part have not been affected by nuclear radiation to join us as we rebuild our nation. We use our unirradiated settlements and farms to begin to advance our settlements. We scavenge for weapons and things of value to be brought back to the king. For all people who oppose us, we exterminate them. We try to include existing settlements into our nation. We continue to build a navy using fishing boats and conscript an army. We begin to pump propaganda into the public to be loyal to the king and we send troops to neighbouring areas to secure them. We expand another 15 px south.

First Order of Japan: Almost all of the Japanese isles have been fully reclaimed by the First Order. Seeing the Philippines in Chaos, we send expeditions to Guam and Taiwan hoping to keep the Filipinos contained in their area and not to push the war elsewhere. Akihito pays a visit to Okinawa, where former American and Final Command soldiers are sent to under heavy guard.

The Commonwealth is divided into five states, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachussetts (the parts south of Boston), New Berkshire (the western parts of Massachussetts) and New Hampshire (the southern parts of Vermont and New Hampshire controlled), based in New London, Newport, Plymouth, Worcester and Portsmouth, respectively. The navy begins evacuation of several Caribbean islands, whose populations face starvation with their food supplies interrupted, and establishes an outpost at the north end of Lake Maracaibo in Venezuela.

Philippine National Union: The defense of Leyte continues. A garrison is establised in Tacloban by the defenders of San Juanico Bridge.   Cascadian Conglomerate: Several state-owned lead mines are opened in hopes to line some buildings with the heavy metal to reduce the amounts of radiation taken by settlers of Vancouver Bay.
