[edit] Current Situation, Conflicts

  • Full session of military command to meet to discuss and vote on Celtic Alliance demands for action in Canada to support democracy in North America
  • Canada seeking support to defend its borders

The ADC is actively engaged in discussions with the LoN on future relations with the Mafia republic of Sicily. A main reason for setting this is the increasing aggresivity of the "Mafia State" which has culminated in the 1st direct military conflict in Europe since Doomsday with Pais del Oro, a founding member of the Community.

ADC Defense Force

  • Army
  • Fleet Command
  • Air Corps
  • Medical & Research

Army: approximately 100,000 serve in the Army (+army reserve all adults over 16 = 10 million). The force is divided into six areas for administrative and operational reasons, and in each area there is an infantry brigade. The six areas are Antartic (Canada & Greenland), North Western (Celtic Alliance & Iceland), Baltic (Nordic Union), North Sea (Celtic Alliance & Norway), Azores (País del Oro & Portugal) and Mediterranean (Greece & País del Oro).

In addition to the Brigades Structure, there is also a Defence Forces Training Centre (DFTC), a Logistic Base and a number of special establishments such as the Equitation School, Army Bands, and the Army Ranger Wing. In the case of Corps which support the Infantry, a Corps Director and staff are provided to coordinate specialised equipment, and the execution of specialised training, etc

The six brigade group structure envisages distinct operational areas of responsibility for each of the brigades. Each has primary responsibility for operational tasks in their area. Practical operational considerations dictate the requirement to outline operational areas of responsibility. The brigade group structure is based on strengthened combat and combat support elements and streamlined combat service support elements

[edit] Foundation

The foundation of the ADC took part on September 26th in 2007 in Punta Delgada on the Azores Islands by representatives of the then-already cooperating surviving states & territories in the Northern Atlantic. The foundation (and current) members are

Within the first few months after DD, the surviving NATO members in the northern Atlantic quickly started cooperating in a wide array of fields. That comprised military cooperation, exchange of supplies, mutual support in restructuring. The old NATO bonds proved a precious basis for this co-operation. So after long years the above mentioned countries finally decided to realize a new formal treaty laying the foundation for a new northen Atlantic military organisation.

A main reason for setting this strong sign is the increasing aggresivity of the "Mafia State" of Sicily culminating in direct military conflict with Pais del Oro.

[edit] Politics

The ADC is a natural ally of the ANZ Commonwealth and cooperates intensely with the ANZC military forces. It strongly opposes the Sicilian aggressions against Pais del Oro. Additionally the ADC is heavily committed to fight the rising piracy targeted at the precious aide convoys both between the ADC members as well those coming in from Brazil and other SAC countries

  • All members of the ADC must up hold the basic principles of the rule of law and liberal democracy
  • All members must have a commitment to reducing were possible military conflict between each other
  • All members must be committed to improving the conditions of the nations of the Northern hemisphere
  • All members must be committed to the principles of the Leauge of Nations, though they need not be members of the Leauge
  • All members must be committed to assisting and defending other members states from aggression

Political Level The command structure of the ADC is based on the principles of the old NATO alliance with the Atlantic Council being the principal decision-making body within Community. It brings together high-level representatives of each member country to discuss policy or operational questions requiring collective decisions. In sum, it provides a forum for wide-ranging consultation between members on all issues affecting their security.

Strategic level At the strategic level, there will be only one command with operational responsibilities, Atlantic Command Operations commanded by Central Command. It will perform the operational duties undertaken until Doomsday by the Supreme European Allied Command. In addition, a new functional command, Allied Command Transformation, commanded by SACT (the Supreme Allied Commander Transformation) will be established to take responsibility for promoting and overseeing the continuing transformation of the Communities forces and capabilities.

[edit] Physical Structure

The Headquarter of the ADC has been set up in Punta Delgada on the Azores Islands within the territory controlled by the Portuguese Interim Government. This was the logical location to choose because it being the geographical centre of the ADC member states and also the infrastructural preconditions were the best possible due to the airport and seaport being among the largest surviving.

So the military as well as the governmental HQ are concentrated in Punta Delgada.

All fleet and airborne operations comprising suppply convoyz and there escorts as well as the military outposts maintained in former UK and Portugal are supervised and controlled by the ADC Central Command. The Central Command also acts as the connection point to the tightly allied ANZC military forces and steers the Reconaissance Missions to Continental Europe and Western Africa. In addition a project to secure safe passage through the Mediterranean Gibraltar Strait and the Suez Channel has been setup by proclaiming a Suez Channel Zone - similar to the Panama Channel Zone - which is neutral territory. Military bases have been setup on both sides along the channel enabling nearly secure passage through the Channel. The number of naval ships guarding the Mediterrenean Entrance is to be further increased as Sicily is about to announce a blockade of its sovereign seas putting the Pais del Oro Garrison holding Malta in the hotspot of European politics.

The League of Nations is expected to take over Administration of the Suez Channel Zone in mid-2009.
