By 1801, Europe only controlled a few colonies in Africa, India, and South East Asia, while the Russians and Turks are compeeting for the control of Caucasus, Britain is expanding from India into Central Asia competing against the Russians.
Except for a few colonies in the South and the North of Africa, Africa is mostly unexplored by Europeans. A few kingdoms in West Africa provide slave labor to the Americas, and the Ottomans control most northern Africa.

By 1801, Sub-saharan Africa was pretty much unexplored and uncolonized by Europeans. Except for the Portuguese colonies of Mozambique and Angola, and the Dutch colony at Capetown.

Britain had gained undisputed control of India after the Seven Years War, but India was still divided between several kingdoms with more or less allegiance to the British.
Russia is consolidating the dominion of central and northern Asia, but rather as integral part of the empire than as colonies.
