Argentina is a major power on the South American continent, and a close ally of nazi germany. Athough after The Second Latin American War, there was beliefs that the two would split up, Germany was loath to lose such a important ally.

Brazil was always seen as a competitor with Argentina in the area, and both viewed each other suspiciouslly.

Argentina has fought two wars with its neighbours in Latin America: The First and Second Latin American War, in the last one becoming the first nation to use an atomic bomb since WWII. Despite the backlash, this has made Argentina one of the most powerful states in the Americas.
