The Araxavanid Empire was a vast empire consisting of most land in North India. The nation was founded by Araxava, a Persian Buddhist fleeing persecution. The empire rapidly grew to encompass almost all of North India. The strength of the empire was magnificent as Indian and Persian culture unified into Indo-Persian Culture. The empire remained in place, prospering and spreading Buddhism in Asia. The many stupas and pagodas established during their reign still exist today as Indo-Persian art reached one of its many zeniths throughout Indo-Persian history.
