The Anglo-Russian Convention of 1907 also called the Anglo-Russian Entente was an end to British and Russian colonial strife amongst Persia and Afghanistan. The result of the convention was a closer alliance with Russia and more importantly the formation of the Triple Alliance of Great Britain, Russia and the French Republic with Japanese and Portuguese support.
The treaty compared to the OTL comparison remains mostly unchanged however two features are altered:
- The Government of the United Kingdom and the Tsar of Russia pledged wholehearted support against the rising of violent socialism, a condition Russia required before acceding to the below;
- Her Imperial Highness, Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikloaevna in 1919 after her eighteenth birthday shall wed His Royal Highness, Edward, Prince of Wales. The match created a deeper sense of imperial legitimacy amongst the establishment that had begun to consider a closer British Empire.
