The Anglo-American War or Commonwealth-American War, often referred to as the North American War (28 January 1930-15 December 1931), was a significant conflict fought between the United States of America on one side and the United Kingdom along with its dominions and empire on the other.
The conflict emerged from tensions regarding the treatment of Germany in the Treaty of Versailles, disputes on reparations after the First World War, the Washington Naval Conference (November 1921-February 1922) and American resentment and bitterness from its history with Britain and the extent of the British Empire.
