List of AFL Champions

The AFL Champion is determined after a six-team playoff. The top three teams from each division qualify. The two lower seeds in each division play at the home of the division's #2 seed in the AFL Quarterfinals, and the winner of that game then goes on to flay in the AFL Semifinal at the home of the division's #1 seed. The winner out of each division then advances to the AFL Championship Finals, which are typically scheduled for a warm-weather location not necessarily within the geographical region of the AFL. Traditionally, South Division teams are the home team in even numbered years and North Division teams are the home team in odd numbered years.
